On BLM land after driving through upscale neighborhoods, a loop ending at a trailhead for several trails in the area. We stayed in two rigs, an SUV and a minivan, and were not bothered during our stay. We had Starlink for wifi and it worked fine. Cell service was fair.

Other vans/RVs/semi trucks parked here. Very loud being next to the highway but no one bothered me.

La noche fue tranquila, en la mañana notamos la compañía de las vacas.

This is a nice spot, close to the road, but fairly private and shielded from wind. Much cooler than down in Vegas. You'll want 4x4 and decent clearance to get in and out. No trailers. No rvs. Wouldn't bring a long wheelbase vehicle up here, but that's just me.

Mascom store to obtain a SIM card. Very nice store and staff. Easy parking, look for a faded yellow sign between the FNB Bank and Deta Mart. Very efficient process, everything was digital, no paperwork. It took about 10 minutes as a foreigner to get a SIM card and service. I got a 3.5gb card for a total of 85bwp. Cell service at the store was about 90mbps 4G, super fast.

3 ATMs, minimal lines, plentiful parking, also next to a grocery store and Mascom for a SIM card.

Es una estación de servicio Dapsa Agro para camiones pero tienen duchas muy buenas y privadas por $200. incluso tienen una exclusiva para damas. Preguntar en la oficina y ellos te guían a las duchas luego de pagar! no es una estación de servicio tradicional, solo sirve para ducharse y descansar de un viaje largo. Muy buena atención. No se sorprendan si les toman sus datos al pagar, ya que lo hacen con todos los transportistas por una cuestión de seguridad.

Petrol station with showers at the back. Is not a regular station, is just for trucks but for $200 pesos they let you use it!! is call Dapsa Agro.

2 parking lots for a trail right next to logging road (Duck Lake Rd). Road is fine and not too bad.

Very nice and quiet. Haven’t had anyone bother me. Lots of other car / rv dwellers here too.

very nice place with hammocks overlooking the river. they even let us leave our car at their place during our 5 days tour for free. breakfast is also excellent. the only negative point are the mattresses.

Amazing place between fishing ponds (no fishing January to May), grass, trees, birds and frogs, just nature. Had just a few people walking by, all very friendly, maybe very busy when fishing season.

ARG=>BRA: Very smooth and easy border, very friendly.
However, the officer at the Brazilian border didn’t want to give us a TIP in the first place, said that we don’t need one (probably she thought we’re Mercosur). Finally, after insisting she gave us an import paper saying that we have to hand it back once leaving the country, so that we don’t have to pay the import fees.

Update: no problem with this paper when leaving the country to Uruguay

270 pp for foreigners and 115 for the foreigner car. Cheapest with south african or namibian rental car. Put in pictures new prices since 2022. Open in May from 6am to 6:30 pm. Amazing wildlife (200 elephants, 100 buffalos, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, 16 lions, 12 hippos, birds...). Sandy tracks sometimes so better to deflate tyres. Perfect national park.we loved it.

Excellent facilities : big pitches, electricity, hot showers, water tap, brai, light, clean and big pool, restaurant, bar, strong wifi at the campsite... excellent for chilling and relaxing. just we listened the road all the night so not so quiet. if you are searching a cheapest place with less facilities, you can go to Bananya packpackers (75 pppn).

Nice spot for a shower off exit 129. Private bathroom with large tiled shower stall, towels, shampoo and conditioner, for $10. The water pressure was excellent and hot.

We have wanted to visit Mana Pools for a long time and were not disappointed! Yes it's expensive but the campsite pitches on the river are just gorgeous!! Wildlife comes to the camp, hyena, buck, elephants ( very close!) and you hear lions roar all night. We did self game drives and saw 4 lionesses hunting (sadly unsuccessfully) as well as lots of other animals and incredible birds. Facilities are basic but there is constant hot water and flushing toilets. Really felt absorbed in the Bush. There are many campsites along the river we were alone for 1 night and only 2 other vehicles the other nights. 115 USD per campsite per night plus park fees. We can recommend the guided Bush walk at 10 USD per person per hour an incredible and immersive experience.

road repaired and in good condition, no 4*4 or high clearance needed. needed. road goes through the riverbed (atm dry), no 4*4 needed but in the riverbed you will need high clearance. however there isn't much place to camp at the other side of the river anyway. Enough space before the river, but with trash. we drove in to a path on the right and parked at the end of it, there was no trash but due to soft sand we did use our 4*4 on this path. no cellphone reception with claro and Bitel. some nice green and a bit of shade. quiet.

Until 1st July 2023, you need the relevant Cameroon consulate to put the actual visa sticker in your passport to enter Cameroon at Idenao and possibly other land and sea borders. The evisa itself is not sufficient. Without it, you will be deported back to Nigeria.

It was really hard to find US dollars between Espungabera and Chiredzi so we ran out of cash. None of banks could help us with Dollars. Because we did not have much cash left we tried to find a gas station where we can pay card. Peter here at this station offered us to do a transfer from our South African account to get fuel and even get some dollars in cash. That really helped.

There was an RV with 2 other cars creating a fort and had a fire going on the center. We parked ~15 ft away from them in my crosstrek and got settled by 7:30pm. A truck came by around 10 and shined his brights in my side windows while we were rockin the boat iykyk. Left about a few minutes later.

Buen lugar para pernoctar. Muy amplio el espacio y seguro. Hay bastante tránsito durante la noche, quizá no es apta para gente sensible a los ruidos. Hay baños decentes y wifi.

Great place, primitive sites are 17$, but they don’t allow access to the bathouse so we paid extra 5 $ to have it. Bathrooms have codes, so that means they are very clean. Quiet, woodsy and the lady at the store/office is very nice

Actually the only hostel with a parkinglot. Very secure, gate stays closed all day and 3 dogs walking around. Enough place for at least 10 cars (not bigger than 4x4 / van like a VW or sprinter since the entrance is to narrow).
If you stay in the hostel, the parking was for free.

Stayed here for an extended time almost 5 weeks. Left for El Paredon beach for the weekend and than came back. Great place to stay. you can find shade and you can also find a spot where it's sunny for your solar panel. A couple of things to remember:
1. When you check in on arrival at the gate make sure to tell them the car has Banos, if you say it does not, they will not let you in.
2. if you need to go to the bathroom anytime. Here are the coordinates for the car parking lot on RN 14 Calz Sta Lucia Sur. 14.5560, -90.7378 or H746+CRH, Antigua Guatemala.
These guys charge 3Q. Any parking lot on RN-14 has. Banos available for 3-5Q.
3. if you need to take showers you can use your car outside shower cube(a little discretely) or go to the market and they have hot showers there. Here are the coordinates 14.5576999, -90.7397180. They charge 10Q.
5. At night gate is always open. Came here last night after 2:00 am, no problem getting in. Sometime it also depends upon who is,working at the gate. At another time guy told me try to make it by 9:30 pm. Pretty relax atmosphere.
6. To throw garbage may have to to the the Chicken Bus station by the city parking lot or drop it on by main street if it's a pick up date.

Very professional and safe storage in a more rural area of Johannesburg. The owner has more than two decades of experience with storing overlanding vehicles and knows, what our kind needs and offers a perfect storage with many units. Multiple safety layers from guard to wall, fences and dogs make the place absolutely reliable. Large units for large vehicles (own garage compartment). Newest addition is the comfy option to overnight on the premise in cozy rooms and for the airport shuttle one can count on on a lovely and very reliable lady (Mari Andreatta) for individual drop down and pick up. So, for us with a bigger rig and for bushtaxis as well the "all in one"  service place to fly home.

We stayed in the first large space. The river can't be seen from it. I'm not sure about the remaining spaces. It was quiet. No Verizon signal. A lot of flying pests.
