Incredible place. Donny and Carla really do treat you like family. They’ve got a stunning place, tucked away amongst the trees. A highly recommended stop when heading north or south for campervans.

Secluded parking spots with benches, electricity, immaculate bathroom, a hot shower with no time limit and great water pressure genuinely) and good WiFi near the house.

Carla picked us up some meat from the smoke house before we arrived and offered to collect some veggies too. An actual gem of a Campervan site with the option to stay in some beautiful cabins to stay too. Hard to leave and worth a few nights. One of our favourite places in Chile.

Again we spend a big part of our Mexican winter at Chuparosa RV park and again it was a wonderful time. Chuparosa Gardens RV park is a beautiful campground with a refreshing pool, big palapa with full kitchen to meet other travellers but the RV. sites are big enough so you have your private spot. Chuparosa is on walking distance from 2 beaches, Playa San Agustin, beautiful for snorkelling and Playa coyote a wild, deserted beach. Chuparosa Gardens is a perfect spot for birdwatching, you see colourful birds everywhere. The owners, John and Hannele are very welcoming, warm people. They will always try to help, they have a lot of knowledge about the area. They are the heart of the campground, together with the lovely dogs Quetzal and Mona. I almost forget to mention the hot showers. It’s a perfect place to spend your winter.

Great little hostel! Very kind people working there, only too happy to help. Beautiful furniture and design inside, fantastic breakfast available also. Lots of space to hang out, nice little garden out the back also. I was able to leave my moto inside their front gate which wasn’t locked but I added my own padlocks for extra security. Lovely people, and a 10-15 min walk into town. Perfect!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. INTO THE INFERNO.
I can confirm the GPS coordinates are roughly right. However beware, if using OpenSteetMap data, it will take you the wrong route.

From Verapaz head up the road to the village and turn left at the church, steeply down, small stream to cross, then a sign reading "4x4" only. It's severe. I would not ride it on an "adventure bike," only a dual-sport motorcycle, or whatever the 4-wheel equivalent is. Honestly, just consider parking in the village and walking 300/400m.

But. it's incredible. You can jump around the river littered with boiling, spluttering, colourful pools of sulphur and there's a huge constant jet of steam. Totally worth it. and it's free.

Duwisib Castle is managed by Namibian Wildlife Resorts. The "guide" is more interesting begging for meat than giving a perceived 5 minute tour. Receipts for the entrance are not issued - interesting...Still worthwhile especially if you combine it with a camping site at the Duwisib Farm, walking distance form the castle.

Beautiful campsite, well maintained, interesting buildings and structures that complement the Castle. Well worth it!

We had to change our cracked windshield with sensors for rain and distance, which was not easy to find. Luckily we got in contact with Pedro +525529612653 by WhatsApp and he ordered the shield ahead so we could plan the work during our visit in CDMX. He was extremely professional and replied to all our requests in time. We can only recommend this official Mercedes dealer and thank him for the great job and support.

We were allowed to drive up to the mosque and stay the night on the mountain. We paid IRR 2.000.000,- fantastic. It is march now and the track is partly covered with snow. So muddy and impossible without 4x4 because of the mud.

Name has changed to Enkereri Campsite as people kept confusing it with the trouser stain tourist Mara West Lodge a couple of kilometres away. Recently new bathroom with hot water and flushing toilet. Great view of the Mara from the campsite as it is on top of a hill. James does guide in the Mara, but the plus is he will point out where you can in the Mara Conservancy without paying the exhorbitant National Park fees. For birders James is an Ease African birding guide and specialist in forest, grassland and water birds

Safe heaven in this region. We arrived in the evening, spent the night and did the chocolate tour in the morning. It was informative and delicious. Don’t miss. The family is very friendly and helpful. We felt 100% welcome and safe.

Very nice laundry service with kind owners. They still charge $1 per kilo. We brought our laundry around noon and could pick it up the same day at 6pm. Can recommend.

We really enjoyed our visit here. There was not much water when we visited but the scenery and hike were still well worth it. It cost 45K each and with that we got enterance to two of the falls guide and a little bag of goodies. We drove up the day before and camped on a flat spot just across from the green tienda at the bottom of the hill you have to turn to get to the falls entrance. The guy asked us for 25K to camp overnight and leave the truck there the next day during our hike.

Nice little turnoff just as everyone else has described. I think you're supposed to have a parking pass ($5/day from the national park). There are also weekly and annual options if you plan on being here for longer periods. I have one from today, but it technically expires at midnight. I'll let you know if there's any issue

The perfect stop off spot for when heading north or south between Santiago and the lakes. Carla and Donny are magnificent hosts. We only wish we met them at the start of our visit to Chile!

10k per person was a bargain, hot clean shower no time limit and beautiful campgrounds. Surely they can’t treat everyone as well as they treated us!

Wow, we are so thankful we found this place (it was Plan B). Still $25 USD/night and worth it. It feels like vacation. Water spigot, bathroom, and hot shower inside. WiFi available in the pretty lobby, and it also works in the cafe seating area. Beautiful, lush grass to park on with a sublime view of the lake. The way the shadows play with the mountains at sunrise and sunset is so beautiful. We took our Uros tour through the hotel. It was more expensive than others we read about, but we also thought the cost was worth it. Our guide grew up on the islands and took us to where he lives with his wife and two beautiful daughters. The most incredible thing about this stay was how all the hotel staff treated us. Even though it’s an upscale hotel and we are relatively dirty overlanders, every staff member made us feel valued and special. Not sure we’ve encountered customer service this genuinely kind anywhere else.

1 hour 35 minutes all told, CAN and USA one one USA motorcycle.

After the first gate (pass the trucks that ought to stay to the left) take the right turn and get the stamped piece of paper from health control (didn't ask us anything, and my slip was never taken from me later though my wife's was).

Then on to the big joint building where the sequence is written large on a sign at the entrance. There is a money change bureau outside to the left by the toilets, fair rate. You'll need Kwacha for some of the payments.

Botswana immigration and customs (CPD stamp out) took less than 5 minutes.

Zambia immigration fairly quick, a few minutes.

Then Zambia customs where he will sign the entry slip and take his portion, but has you pay the other fees and clear interpol before stamping.

Interpol is two windows down; he doesn't really do anything (maybe writes details in a book?). Two minutes.

Then insurance, K165 for motorcycle for a month. She made a big deal about having to get change, and made me wait. Maybe 15 minutes (cause I had to change money first).

Then the toll/fees windows: US$20 for the toll from here to Livingstone. And K282 for combination bridge toll, carbon tax and council fee. I had to zip out to change more money because apparently only the bridge toll (K150 of it) is payable by visa.

This took most of the time because people were queued up and they spend a long time inputting stuff into the computer then printing receipt.

Then back to customs for CPD stamp and finished.

At exit gate, show all the paperwork (he takes it into the booth), an immigration guy looks at the passports, then off you go.
