we stayed 2 nights in site 34, which is away from the water, though the ocean front sites would be awesome. per their website, we called to request approval since we were in a DIY built van and not RV. the staff is super professional and courteous. bathrooms were modern and very clean and the showers hot and spacious. the 5 min walk down to beach is pleasant. quiet neighbors. t-mobile and Verizon had poor reception but Free wifi was sufficient for surfing web and streaming music. you could upgrade and buy faster speed. overall, we highly recommend.

Really accurate description down there, friendly management (3 women). They really speak well English and I could set up my caravan for ZKW 200 and use a room for shower and toilet.

This is so amazing. It was very empty when I got here around 6:48 pm. I’m going to stay until my paperwork to cross the boarder comes back. The mosquitoes are viscous 😭.

We couldn’t find the hostel, maybe it's already closed. We went then to Uyutnyy Dom. It was great there!

Good camground with a nice beater and a wonderful hot shower. Perfect for settling in after picking up the camper in Halifax. The lake is beautiful but from our point of view nothing special. Including taxes, we paid CAD 40 for the LakeView space.

Great, quiet spot right by the marina. Easy 15 min walk to the street car to Miyajima. A few others overnighting here. Toilet is close by.

Don't worry too much about the road. It's a normal sand road.

Unfortunately in May the river is dry and the place looks deserted. Didn't stay.

What a beautiful place to camp, and for free! Campsites are still there, but no amenities. Really big baobabs at each campsite and a firepit. Please keep the island clean and take all your trash with you. Great sunset and sunrise with stunning colors of the pan.
Had a wonderful quiet night with millions of stars.

Very quiet. There aren’t a lot of trees, but a kind of tall bush or something that more less gives you privacy from other campers in the area. Showers were clean and warm.

There was a ferry leaving for Cameroon on a Thursday, the guy said US$120 (just me and my backpack) I said it’s too much and that I’ll take a speed boat from Oron for 30k unless he can offer a similar price. He couldn’t get near 30k so I went to Oron and took the speed boat to Idenao

Great place for a night close to Badlands National Park. Would not recommend if it was wet. pretty open and near the highway but wasn't too busy. Thought people talking about mosquitoes would just be complaining but there are quite a bit there. Beautiful sunset.

They're busy renovating the ablutions. Camping is now R130. I was the only one here, and they let me sleep on one of the very basic beds in the wind tunnel. Almost no wind, and nice and cozy warm. I also saw a sign saying "plaas winkel" (farm shop) 1km further inland.

We stayed with Ulice and his family for one night only, but had an amazing stay! They were super hospitable, keen to share their way of living, we had a lovely evening together until the rain interrupted us. Ulice also organised our drive to the trailhead to get to the vulcano telica ($40). Unfortunately the weather changed once we were on our way up and we didnt see the lava, but it was still a great adventure!

Very cold water but very good water. If you have a big rig I don’t think you’d be able to make the turn up to it but my van did just fine

Stayed the night in the parking lot of the Bill Heddles rec center with no problems! It is very well lit and quiet. There is still a homeless population in the area, but no one bothered us.

Nice young couple and very new hotel. They offer space for vehicles in the yard. We spend a day there. You can sleep in the vehicle too. They offer water, electricity, high speed wifi and also we rented a few hours a room to take a hot shower. The couple is very kind and speak english. Also our dog was allowed in the yard. Good place to rest and do some services in the city during your trip to Naryn and the area.

This is THE place to stay in Mendoza. It is "just" a big parking (no fancy), but It felt very safe and quiet during day and night. Claro signal is very good, which allowed us to work. We spent here a total of 10 nights without any issue. There is potable water in the police office behind the parking (no need to cross the street). The only downside is that I saw a few motorhomes emptying grey waters in the parking, please take care of the place.

Wonderful farm, very kind and helpful. They came and rescued me lost in Lesoma in the dark. Not easy to find especially at night, geolocalization both on mapsme and Google maps plays stranges jokes

The price is 400 pp, and they don't have change. Here is just a bar, camping facilities and guides are offering to take you closer to the falls. The best view of the waterfall is actually a few hundred meters down the road.

This is an amazing view of pikes Peak, definitely worth the drive down the dirt road, just go slow. There’s only one sort of bad section, but it’s only about 5 yards worth of bumps in gullies. We stayed up at the top. Had a nice flat spot. You need to be careful of glass, however People don’t pack in and pack out I guess, I tried to pick up as much of the garbage as I could, but I couldn’t do much with the glass. Internet was no problem at all could stream Netflix and also had a chance to upload videos to YouTube, so upload and download speeds are great.

We stayed here 2 nights. Flat ground by the river, not a lot of noise or people in the area and a nice walk in to town. Much more busy area on Saturday mornings due to the football pitches near by.

The orcas are still here!
We saw a family with baby on May 16.
You can check on their insta page for last sightings and get the current tide schedule. @peninsulavaldesoficial
We saw the orcas at 6.15pm (like 45min after high tide). Sea lions as well, but no sea elephants
