Free public park with large surface lot near the water. Beautiful views, sunrise and sunset. Very quiet. No signs that say no overnight parking. Most suitable for truck campers, camper Vans or small RVs. We stayed for one night right by the water, pulled in after 9pm, didn't see any other people until around 7am, park is busy during the day.

Small city park, on quiet edge of town. $10 nonelectrical, $15with electric. Shady, pit toilets, tables and fire rings.

Pub car park where they allow overnighting if you eat or drink in the pub. The weren't doing food when we stayed, and were happy for us to just have a couple of drinks there. Fairly level tarmac surface. Quiet overnight.

beautiful spot on a rocky beach. there were a few other people here who used the campfire spot with friends. there were mosquitoes at dawn and dusk but weren't too bad. the sunrise was gorgeous!

this is a great little park for a rest stop or lunch. there are signs that state no overnight parking or camping. the park gate closes at Dusk. there are trash cans, bathrooms and picnic tables (covered and shady or out in the grass) plenty of room for big rigs too. signage posted to keep dogs on a leash and pick up after them.

We stopped here for lunch, a very nice setting, we were the only guests … and didnt feel we were welcome … and the food wasnt memorable either
Driving it is probably a bit tricky for big rigs, due to trees and low hanging branches

The coordinates provided mark today‘s entrance gate; the entrance from the R49 (as per maps.me) is closed.
North West Parks Board is now operating the area as Mafikeng Nature Reserve.
We did not check out if the camp sites are in any way operational (ie power, water, toilets, etc). We arrived late, but were free to find a spot as we pleased. We elected to stay near Kolobe Dam (which is just a tiny water hole), out in the open … nobody to be seen.
We paid R25 pp (pensioner) + R20 for the vehicle .. at this price I forgot to ask about the Wild Card …

I’m at the Twin Peaks store right close to the casino and that’s how you get into the casino from there. There’s a place for trucks to park “big rigs” and there’s places for RVs to park, about three parking lots, it’s great for overnight. The store has showers for $12 I don’t know about the casino I didn’t check. The store also has a laundry mat I didn’t use it but it’s there it’s very clean looks like the whole thing is brand new. I had some service (Verizon) in the casino parking lot but mostly just text and calls. It was nice and quiet.

Free during the off season. Right in the lake however there is a hill where tent campers set up so RV’s won’t be able to see the entire lake from the parking spot.

Overall great but please note it’s in a bit of a valley so cell service is greatly diminished compared to the other sites up top.

No longer a hostel, it’s a proper hotel, with higher prices ($45 for double room) we didn’t stay there as we are hunting for cheaper deals

Procedure as described below but… make sure you show up with Vaccine card or PCR. They turned us around with an Antigen test which lead to an interesting situation… anyway we had to go back to Guatemala and negotiate re-entry (somewhat illegal) get the PCR test then return following day… so yeah PCR or vaccine, not negotiable!

very quiet place to stay, is a residential neighborhood in construction, but is very safe. we talk to the vigilant in the place, and he say the place is very safe. dont have any structure. nice place for pets and see the sunrise.

Great spot for one night very close from Saint Jean reverse falls. Stayed one night with 2 other RV. Quiet and felt secure. View on the reverse bridge.

They have propane! 1.149 $ L, Gaz station for regular gaz but I think they dont have Diesel

Overnight parking spot for van or small RV at end of Ingalsbe Road, Hiawatha NF, at a beach entrance to Horseshoe Bay Wilderness. No signs prohibiting. 5-minute beach walk to a tent campsite w fire ring. A few locals drove in for a look, one walked dog on the rocky beach. Otherwise, a very quiet spot.

Beautiful place to sleep in the middle of nature, with spectacular mountain views.

The price per night is 10$ per person. If you would like to use the amenities of the kitchen the price is 13$.

nice overlook. stayed here before going to see the PriusOffroad guy, I have the PriusOverlanding lift kit on my car.

Free dump station, trash dumpsters, restrooms, convenience store, beach etc. there is an entrance fee of $25 or use an annual national park pass. No fee when we were there on a Wednesday. There’s a restaurant open fri-sun until 4pm. Really nice!!

Lovely cosy tea house with a small art studio attached and a large variety of teas that they blend themselves.
Currently not serving tea or cakes, but plenty the bags of tea are pretty reasonably priced

Really professional, they were as helpful as possible and very friendly. Clean and well equipped workshop.

Edgar speaks perfect English, and knows about adventure bikes from experience. As well as bikes they are the national dealer for Hepco & Becker and Wunderluch kit.

Wish we had found them earlier. Highly recommended!

Easy to find and there’s a Motorhome here already when we arrived.
