As described. Road in washboard but neither clearance or 4x4 required. About 20 minutes off the highway, very little road noise. Serene and peaceful with lovely views of the Jim Sage mountains. Juniper trees made a great wind break. No amenities, pack it all out. Though we came in from the North we were able to make our way south through the town of Snowville to get back on 84.

Unfortunately a park official came by and told us the park and parking lot closes at 10. Started putting up cones in the exits and entrances. Really pretty lights on the water but doesn’t seem like overnight is allowed despite there being no signs.

Got here at 2:30 pm on a Thursday and had to circle a few times for an opening. By 5pm all the spots were taken by vans. The guy in front of me said that was his 2nd night there and no cops no knocks. The street was a little noisy all evening but after 10 or so it went silent and I slept well. The park there was nice and I walked the beach a few times and played fetch with the dog and watched the surfers. It’s a great spot but I doubt it will be here forever. Be aware that there is a city ordinance that states “no oversized vehicles” on any city streets so finding any parking anywhere was a f-ing nightmare just to run errands. SB is not rv or van friendly at all and the parking lots are tight too. @beinghumanrv

BEWARE: Purchased gas here and charged our credit card 100MXN more than the pump reads. When we asked the station attendant about it, he sheepishly handed us 100MXN cash.

Spent two nights here because it was so amazing! Full bars AT&T with fast service was great for working remotely. We were the only ones there parks beside a big boulder. Lots of trails and canyons to explore! Amazing place! You can hear the highway but it’s not that loud. Road to the spot is a bit rough. High vehicle clearance recommended

We urgently needed a welding job. And although Dave could not help us directly he instantly knew where to take us. He even drove us there. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Dave's number: +258825465800

There is no trash once you go in further - we stayed on the rocky part of the river bed (elevated spots with trees are sandy) and away from the sea. There are many options here for any type of vehicle. Fried a fish, had a beer and spent one night. Slight traffic and mining noise. Telcel 3G signal.

Nice camp, good facilities, hot water and spacious bathroom. Restaurant and bar with reasonable meals. Pleasant staff. Close to the road so there is traffic noise but tolerable.

Very nice campsite with clean, nice ablutions with steaming hot showers. Nice communal kitchen with filtered drinking water free to use. Braai stands and lapas to hang out. Many water taps around on campsites. Feels almost like a luxurious place after Tanzania. Very friendly staff. Quiet, beautiful place. 150 kwacha/pppn for camping. Chalet would have been 225 kwacha/pppn sharing for 2 ppl. Chalets don’t have their own toilet or shower. Great place for the night when coming from/going to Tz.

Paid $3 pp to park out front and use wifi (which was excellent), bathroom and shower (shower inside a room). We were happy with this and it felt safe. We were there on a Friday and it was loud all night, but still felt it was a great option and location to explore town and be near the Costa Rica border for crossing the next morning. Fit fine on street with our truck camper.

Nice little hidden meadow. Hidden from the road and a few flat spots for a tent. A little buggy but otherwise nice and private. Cars could maybe park by the entrance but it turns to a trail almost immediately. No water here sadly.

Standard Walmart. Two trains did blow their horns during the night, but other than that didn’t really notice any noise. We ended up parking to the right of the Walmart with other RVs and vans.

This was an amazing stop! We had no trouble with the half mile dirt road to the top, it was in great condition. The view was awesome and the sunset incredible. There are 2 picnic tables and a fire ring which we had a small campfire in. We were the only ones there all night. Lots of room for big rigs. It was so quiet we had a great nights sleep! I highly recommend this stop!

Truly a lovely campground. Stars are amazing, showers are clean, dog friendly (except in boats!), and there’s boat rentals for cheap at the trading post!! The website says “2 night minimum” for weekends but there was only one night available and I was able to book through calling the trading post/welcome center directly. FYI if this happens to you!

Easy in and out, 1-2 bars of AT&T 5Ge, plenty of spots all along this road. Larger rigs and RVs tend to stay closer to the entrance but if you’re car camping the options are endless. Pretty packed on weekends but I had no trouble finding a pull off all to myself. Bathrooms at the end of the road, Peralta trailhead.

Lovely place, very idyllic! The campsites furthest south / closest to the waterfall have sunlight the longest :) - Ended up staying an extra day as it was so beautiful.
P.s.: Not a lot of natural firewood, but there are pit so I would recommend to bring your own.

We stayed here for one night. No signs that overnight camping is forbidden. Parklot is for approximately 40 cars and close to the road. Access to the Benson Creek Falls Regional Park and a nice downhill trail system. We saw a lot of bikers during the evening, during the night it was quite. Cellular network is limited, but we got signal. No washrooms or outhouses.

Stayed 2 nights in a 2wd sprinter. It's a slow drive in, but very manageable. Safe, quiet and a short walk to Guitarritas (hiking and climbing).

Realllly muddy. I was trying to go camp at the other spot further but if you don’t have a 4x4 I wouldn’t try. Pretty sketchy. I found a better spot before this one on the same road. I’ll put the details in the other location.

Good spot. Less muddy than the others. One entrance is okay but watch out there is a bump. Not perfectly leveled but not too bad. No big rigs friendly. I camp in my class B 19ft chevy-van. Fire rings. Will update tomorrow morning as I just got here.

This place serves it purpose after a long day of driving. Paid $300 to dry camp next to a palapa, includes garbage, use of bathroom, and shower. Small playground on site with resident kids who are eager to play with visiting ninos. Beach is nice to walk on and empty. No cell service, but you can buy WIFI for $40 MX per hour.

I have uploaded a picture of the large itemized price chart they have at the entrance.

The sign at the trailhead says it is 1/2 mile to the springs and that is accurate. We were the only soakers on this day and it was lovely! These are thermal but not sulphur. No odor. About 104 degrees in the pool according to pamphlet, 125 degrees at the source. Cool off in the cooling pool or river. Rejuvenate yourselves! It felt wonderful!

Free Gila Forest CG. Dispersed sites, most on the stream facing a high rock wall. I am sure it will be shady in summer, there are tall cottonwood trees throughout. Quiet and rustic, no electric, trash bins, or dump stations in the entire Forest around the Dwellings. NO trash receptacles. Take it out, please.

There are rings here, no tables, and 2 vault toilets. Most people here seem to camp near the entrance but if you drive further back on the road, there are many more spots. The water sounds lovely and the rocks glow as the sun sets. It has been pretty empty in the cgs the last 4 days with high gas prices but I am sure summer will bring crowds of people.
