Adriaan&Isabelle | The gate was locked; the guard was working valves a three minute walk away but it took some time for him to notice us. The road through the salt mine is in good condition, little washboard, no washouts - probably recently graded. Once at the waypoint we found out there are no more tours as of today (April 1st). One coyote still present. Camping still possible, but a palapa offers little wind protection for a roof tent. There's one spot at the far end (the one on the bend) that offers some protection behind a small dune, but that spot was taken. We decided to move on. |

Ollie | Honestly can't wait to come back here. Cactus heaven & mountain views to boot. Little roads all over to spread out and find more private spots, but I came on a Friday night and only saw two other rigs, so I parked in a spot right on Rocalla. 2 bars LTE Verizon. Edit (2/18/23): Back again and man, I must have gotten lucky last year - there are dozens of campers around! Still just as beautiful. |

ssrdesigns | There were no camping signs posted so we pulled into the driveway to the west of the park and camped next to the power pole overnight. Wind, rain, hwy and train noise kept us awake a good portion of the night but the park was clean and empty. |

exploring509.de | very nice spot along a forestroad which is not in the maps. if this spot is occupied, you can follow the road down into the valley, there are at least two more possibilities to stay. no 4wd or hc needed, just take it slow. no t-mobile service and not suitable for big rigs. enjoy! |

car_full_of_dreams | The friendly hotel owner who allowed us to stay at the parking lot. It’s a nice place in the middle of a green park / garden. It’s secured, you will need to pass a guard at the entrance of the street. You will be surrounded by birds, the smell of flowers and some curious hotel guests 😄 In the evening you will hear noise from the nearby road. |

onlyME | Shady campsites as described before, everything still the same. We recommend the restaurant FARMERS KITCHEN for dinner or breakfast (NAD110). You can order fresh baked broetchen.

abenteuer.afrika | It took us approx. 1:15 h to get here from the main road. In some parts the dirt road is very washed out, especially in the steep corners. We drove up with a Landrover Defender -it was good possible but in some parts a bit challenging. We passed the Signal-Tower and found a beautiful spot after a few hundert meters on the left hand side. Beautiful sunrise included :) We would not recommend this road for big rigs and would avoid it during rain. |

instagram.com/electronsvagabonds | Friendly quiet guesthouse (no bar!!) Mosque not far, though (we stayed here the first night of Ramadan!). Shower in the room but toilets outside. Clean sheets and towel. Nice and helpful staff. Guard at night. Courtyard to store the bicycles. 20000 Ugx for a double room. |

faramund.blog | What a beautiful place! We stopped here because it was recommended to us and it was the best decision! Susan and Salaton run a very welcoming camp with nice and clean facilities as well as a very good restaurant. You are not just a guest, you are invited into the Masai Community. We ended up staying two nights and had a wonderful bush dinner under the stars, visit to the Masai kettle market and even got to take part in checking out the hives of their bees in a full bee suit.

UniMog | Very friendly owners. Site 3 is good for trucks. We're almost 3.5m tall and over 2.2m wide. Site 4 was tempting but when we tried there were larger branches just too low for comfort.

Wendy & Graham | We really loved it here. Stayed 3 days. Luis and Claudia are perfect hosts. 1200 pesos per night including electricity. Water is potable. No wifi or reliable cellphone service. Bathrooms are in poor condition but they are clean. We enjoyed a fish (boga) dinner. Great view of the river. Totally quiet at night. Lovely little town. |
Camping Municipal de Yapeyu | -29.47735, -56.81756 | |
bm.aroundtheworld | We confirm, music until 2am,but it just the rooftop close to the bridge. It you park further on the road its better. Really good spot to walk downtown, taking the Riverwalk. Public wc just at 200mt (on the Riverwalk). We stayed here with 5 others vehicles, was quite exempt for the rooftop. Lots of restaurants and food truck close-by.

leonorehinz | Only place in town to get propane (in March 2022), and the owner knows it - hence very expensive! We paid 2.50$ per liter, never before have we paid that much!! If you can, avoid this place. |

lucy | Came here to clear my head for a tricksy life situation but finally stopped here for the night. Porta potty in decent shape. Easy access to beach. Great cafe opposite. A few other rigs, some look like they're permanent. Good tmobile and att. Got weirdly chased by a man on crutches yelling as me as I pulled out at 6am, but no trouble during the night. |
