We stayed for one night during our three-day hike to the Quilotoa Laguna. We paid 20 USD p.P.p.N. in the shared dorm including delicious Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch Bag. Lovely and cosy.

Lots of RV’s, Campers, some might be longer term than typical 72hr, friendly group, no problems with authorities here & felt safe for a few nights stay, might stay again soon for longer. No bathrooms, close eateries across street, groceries, fast food, freeways, nearly perfect for traveling on budget with contained rig. Even San Diego City Offices down the street. Needs restrooms with showers & it would be a frequent for us!

I parked at the end of the street just outside the RV park with ok of park host and resident of closest house. Wouldn’t recommend for camping since it’s right by a train track that I was surprised to learn is still in use.

RV park is run by the city as part of its parks dept has showers ($1 for 4 minutes, I didn’t use), water fillup (free) and dump ($5).

We just wanted to check out the village. The people from the ecolodge were just restoring a mud house and we got invited to help. Stayed two nights with these nice people but slept in our van under a palm as the ecolodge was closed (out of season). The hamam is great and they run a "mud centre" where they run mud and cob building workshops. The village has a great oriental atmosphere

A place you can re charge your Cadac and other gas bottles. You have to leave it with them and collect it next day. I have re filled here twice with no problem. Place to park outside

Paved until this point, still gravel further down the road (with some intense washboards). We recommend to skip this place and drive to the 'Wild camp near to Vicuña' spot on iOverlander.

We came here at sunset and we were alone all night. Beautiful view on the lake. be careful with the road, you need a little bit of clearance under your car or you can just drive with an offset.

CITO is a place to work on your home on wheels, and allows you to stay in your home on wheels while you do your DIY projects. People can stay here for up to five nights for $10 each night - cash only. or you can stay for an entire month for $220. hookup Is $40 a month or $50 if you have an air conditioner on top of your home on wheels or in the window.

The place is brand new and still working on officially opening up and is looking for workampers to help clean up the land and get it in the shape of knees to be. So you do need levelers or know that you're not going to be completely straight. You do need to make reservations on the Facebook page though. they don't allow people to just drive in and park. everyone has to go through the Facebook page. If you stay for a month longer they require you to do a background check.

The place is super quiet but there's also not much around either. everything is at least 20 minutes away. they have someone come out once a week to empty black tanks which cost $20 per block tank. they don't have a trash dumpster yet so any trash has to be taken into town and disposed properly or at the city dump.

The only Wi-Fi that works out here is Verizon.

Great place, nice view if the sunset. Quite. Snow Canyon is $10.00 for a day pass. Camping looks tight. This spot was perfect.

Nobody bothered us, but there were some people meeting(?) late in the evening. Maybe this is the place where the youth of soledad gets together or where they sell drugs? All six cars left at once around 11pm.
Lots of trash everywhere, definitely no place to relax. Houses are maybe 300ft away opposite and a field on the other side(work starts early in the morning on the field).
We didn't feel exactly unsafe but definitely uncomfortable.

Not much to add to the previous reviews.
The food prepared by Ruth is excellent, Kenzo is super friendly and will take really good care of you.

The tap water is filtered. We had no problem drinking it for 5 days.

They also have set up tents with bedding for 20$pppn.

One of our favourite places to relax and just enjoy your surroundings in 8 months of Africa.

We tried camping here, but were approached by two rangers right after 10pm and told we couldn’t stay here. We ended up staying at a nearby Walmart instead and didn’t have any issues there.

Best food in Mwanza! I have been coming to this city for two years and every time I have dinner here. Delicious vegetarian (or vegan if you want) Indian food. I can recommend the manchurian dry but honestly everything she makes is delicious. Only 20.000 per person and I always go home with leftovers in a take away bag to eat for lunch the next day. Beautiful terrace. You can send her a WhatsApp, she responds quickly on +255 688 707 070.

Beautiful and well kept grounds with small lakes, a swimming pond, clean bathrooms and a kitchen area. Best thing is the access to the river. We stayed 3 nights in our camper van and paid 30,000c. Only a couple roof top tenter there the second night otherwise we had the place to ourselves. Short drive to the waterfall and 20min walking into town. Only thing I can think of to make this place a 10/10 would be Wifi and some hammocks.

Hot spring river! Main part of the soaking happens where it is deepest! But there are tons of little soaking spots I found. Super windy here. Any size rig friendly.

As described, lovely place. For various reasons we ended up staying a week. Communal fire pit. Helpful staff. Still no sign, just behind the big green gate. (So good luck trying to order pizza delivery there especially if the driver speaks little English.) Small space, so little privacy if other campers are around. Internet is available at Camp spot, when it is. However, it uses a Mascom hotspot which has poor coverage there, and it seems as soon as 2 people are using it, it won't even load a web page, so don't count on it other than for WhatsApp messages and in the middle of the night.
Price still 75P pppn, good value!

Only appears to be a couple spots off this road but i didn’t go up too far. Road is in good condition, any car fine. Found a nice spot just a dip down from road. Great forest views and private although not far off FR. There is logging going on but not an issue. This spot would only fit a van probably but spot before it is a bit bigger. Good tmobile cel which is rare around here!

We stayed here for one night together with another van. We didn’t checked the photos before and expected it less burnt. Or maybe there were another fire last year. Looked really fresh burnt. We really like it, it had a special beauty - especially because the nature started to get green again.

Espace calme, au bord de la rivière. En face de l'accès à la Cascade Cebolla. La personne qui gère le camping n'est pas beaucoup présent, nous l'avons vu seulement à notre arrivée.
