Seen two huge 40 foot RVS parked. East road to get to on gravel. NO INSETS OR BUGS like most other sites. Great fishing spot. Place to launch kayaks and paddle boards. Lots of islands. Free firewood everywhere. Picnic tables and fire rings. You can stay 14 days for FREE.

Great campsite for tents, vans, motor homes (saw even a Iveco truck), clean facilities, free wifi.
The owner is super friendly, loves to explain you what you should do/see in Matera. There's even a free shuttle to the city during the day/evening.
You can buy cold water, beer, wine, coffee and order bread for the next day.

Only downside, there's almost no shade where you park or pitch the tents.

Free place to stay for the night if you don’t want to pay, the camping places are a little bit expensive!
You have peaceful and a good look to the lake and the volcano Osorno!
The water is so cold, but quietly nice to take a swimming!
The entrance it’s between the minimarket, a road barely signed, the a little way only for people way till the sand and the lake!

A little parking next the temple, quiet night, the road is blocked. Ask if it's ok to stay at the little shop.

Great car park for catching the ferry from Dover. Free overnight from 6:00pm to 9:00am. Some road noise, but not bad considering the city centre location and proximity to the ferry terminal.

This is a formal toll booth that has a small Police Station just like many other toll booths in Bolivia. We crossed it going South/North and didn't pay any fees. A policeman just waived at us and made a gesture to continue. No one asked for any papers nor required any stamps.

My partner and I stayed overnight in the parking lot with another couple at this location and we thoroughly enjoyed it! It was quiet and felt very safe. being in close proximity to the bathrooms was also a nice bonus. We didn’t find any signs indicating there were any limits to overnight parking. The sign for the public bathrooms advertised that they were closed after sunset, however in our experience, they were unlocked and publicly available all night. We would highly recommend this location for a cozy overnight stay!
P.S. Watch out for the local trash goblins… the raccoons are not friendly.

Very nice water filling location. Water is UV filtered. The tap majority for water bottle filling but you can switch out the dispenser and hook up water hose to fill rv water tank.

Garage mechanic very close to the port. We had a mechanic problem due to the shipping and we arrive to this very big and professional garage. We could sleep here, they took care of the problem, offering realistic and economic solutions. Very trustworthy company. Ask for John Colon, he will help you to with everything.

Attention! This laundry charges for pieces. We brought 15 T-shirts, 12 pants (6 of which are leggings), 1 sweater and 1 bed sheet with 2 pillowcases and they charged us 5.3 million rials (we think it's quite expensive). There are still stains on the clothes. Black clothes have gotten worse, as if blurred. Don't wash delicate clothes here. For normal clothes ok. They give it to you ironed and folded.

RV place run down but we found the odd dump pipe at some of the sites. We stayed one night so not sure if they will charge just for a dump.

Pipes are right by the electrical posts at site. Most covered by rocks.

Fresh water, toilets available and a restaurant. Open open from monday to saturday morning.

Very nice place with parrots and friendly dogs. Beautiful stars at night and trash cans which are used by the locals, so no more rubbish lying around:)

The location is correct but the distance from other marked points is wrong, it gives a distance as if I was in Sexaur Park in Brookings in South Dakota.

Inside the RV parking there’s a dump station. Free to use. Parking costs €2/h or €10/day. Free toilets. You can access the dumping even if you’re not parked here. Parking is self paying as always.

perfect place. If wet maybe 4x4 needed. If not, every car is possible. good viva mts reception.

Hot and clean shower. Bit pricey with 15$ but we managed to shower together. Got some weird looks at the counter. Staff isn’t the friendliest…but ok

Super nice hostel in Mindo. Located along the river just a few steps from the city center. They have a perfect little grassy spot where you can fit a camper. Good and clean kitchen, nice areas to relax and from what we understood they also arrange all kinds of tours. We payed $7 pppn. Good WiFi that reaches the camping spot and warm showers.

The staff only spoke Spanish and as our Spanish is very limited they were not really nice about it. I think if you speak Spanish the staff will be very nice.

Turn left just when you get up the little hill. Unfortunately the road is pretty narrow and there’s an overhanging roof that you have to pass under. Our defender is 2.6m with the tent and we made it without any issues. I would guess it’s around 3.0-3.3m.

After a lot of searching, we were able to get white gas here for our camping stove. You will need to bring your own container.

We passed Colombia - Ecuador recently.
It’s as easy as a border gets. No covid tests is required but they checked for our vaccine certificates. We have all 3 so I’m not sure if the requirement is 2 or 3.

1. Immigrations of exiting country (checked the CheckMig)
2. Customs of exiting country
3. Drive over the border and get a health form (on the bridge)
4. Go to entering countries immigration (make sure the stamp is clear and that the 90 days are obvious)
5. Go to entering countries customs (aduan) and get the TIP
6. Get in your car and celebrate that you are done after 1-3h of paperwork

Ecuador is the first country I ever visit where a third party insurance isn’t mandatory. We have tried for weeks now to get one and seems to be impossible. Be careful when you drive here.
