Huge open parking lot with a few other campers staying the night. Had no problems parking overnight.

Our first stop in New Mexico. Great to arrive in Tucumcari at sunset with all the neon signs lighting up. This car park was quiet and safe for a overnight stay and we used the toilets and water fountain in the polling station the next morning

We stayed three days at this lovely property. I would call it an informal campsite as you can park on their driveway and use the amenities. They make their own mezcal, have some donkeys and when the big house is not rented out you can also use the pool! When we were here they only had two pups for adoption, but the week before they had 10. Luckily, they have also nine dogs of their own so plenty of cuddles. Your dog is welcome here, but give them some time to get used to each other.

We paid $200 per night. It's best to call or text ahead. Enjoy your stay here!

Super nice hidden campsite which is very well maintained. 35k for a night with two persons. Additional 10k pp if you want breakfast, breakfast was very good. Warm rain shower and clean bathroom. They let us use a bathroom of one of the rooms they have. And we could use the laundry machine for 15k. Definitely recommend this place.

Easy to get to off of 50. 1.5 miles in on dirt road. There was a large Class A with toad, a large tow behind and a Class C here while I was here. 17 BLM sites spaced well apart. Trash cans by pit toilets as well as a dumpster by enterence. Pit toilets were clean with toilet paper. Sites had picnic table with cover overhead and privacy fence, fire ring and BBQ grill. Beautiful surrounding views. No water available that I noticed.

A perfect place to rest from driving I-10. 24-hour security. 24-hour bathrooms, nice and clean, AC is blasting in there, it's cold!

The visitor center is open 8:30 to 5pm and is so neat to check out. Free coffee, free wifi, cute little exhibits with animatronic swamp animals and an interactive movie room. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for something free and safe to crash for a night.

fantastic spot. There is a flat concrete pad at this location and it overlooks thr whole area of the other locations marked on iOverlander as well as the desert looking east. there is 4 pokes that defines this spot. I didn't like the other spits because they were too close to the abandoned buildings. a bit too creepy for me. great Cell signal Tmobile.

Nice campground on lake, wasn't full on weekday in early June, about 80%. The spots near the lake are more crowded and some unlevel than the spots further back. Paid $26 and credit card slip available. Cheaper for a bike only site. No cell service. Saw a black bear one morning, but it was well behaved.

This place is amazing, we were luky to find a free spor close to the river, spot number 3! Beautiful! Accès road very easy, t-mobile 4g is working, pittoilets clean, calm, level spots! 12$ per night, or 6$ if you have an acces card (American the beauty counts) self pay station. It's full of chipmunk, they are very curious, one entered in our van, but we put him out as those can do quite some damages on a vehicle! Enjoy this place!

Great place to get your clothes and bedsheets washed. They were very helpful and spoke a little bit of English. They itemised everything that was washed so you can check you've got everything. For us for about 10kg of washing it was about R$200 at the time. We took it Saturday morning and it was ready Tuesday afternoon so perhaps not the quickest but we did have quite a lot. It's open 8am - 6pm in the week and 8am - 12pm Saturday. Highly recommended!

Wanted to use the dump but it was locked and the tourism center was closed during their open hours… might have been their dinner time… anyway, it was only dump without potable water so we kept moving.

Nice parking lot with a great view of the waterfall. Cell signal starts great on highway but degrades on your way until it vanish just before you reach the parking. There are 2 dry toilets and bear safe thrash cans. Haven’t seen any “no overnight” sign so please continue to keep it clean.

As described wonderful pullout with beautiful expansive vista of rolling farm hills, ocean, and coo rock formations with birds living in the rock and singing a wonderful song as the fly around. 1 night with no issues, couple other campers space for a few, couple bars ATT

Great spot. The singing you hear next door (not the all night music) comes from the kids at the orphanage.
I walked over to see what it was and found 53 kids and a number of staff all working togther. They ended up inviting us to church (I go about every 5 years) and we decided to make a donation to their organization. (we didnt ask to be invited to church and they didnt ask for a donation). I had made a seperate post, but iOver... deleted it because it's not a tourist attraction 😹

One of the nicest rest areas I have seen. Picnic tables with barbecues. Nice big green area with a hiking path.

This is a 3 bay self wash for tall vehicles. Attached is a self wash dog. Two bays. One for little dogs and one for big dogs. $6 for 10 minutes. Spray handle like for vehicles. Wash with shampoo. Fleas and ticks. Conditioner. Etc. Clean

30 $ per site, you can share the cost if your vehicles/RVs fit into one site. We liked the scenery directly at the river. Short walk into "town", good restaurants, nice atmosphere. Live music and events mostly on weekends.

Beautiful park and beautiful birds throughout. Very pleased.

We stayed here for one night. A beautiful spot close to the river. We found some shade under one of the big trees. The mosquitos are still manageable - nothing compared to our last spots in Yukon.

Grew up in China and this place is legitimately the best Chinese food we’ve had so far. Specializes in Sichuan food.

The picture menu is for locals. But there is a Chinese only menu (just a piece of paper) where the real food is.

Woman speaks well enough English. Get the “twice cooked pork”!

Really beautiful place. Nice beach and nice view. Really quiet and private. Small parking : 2 car or 1 RV. The only thing is that we were awake by workers early in the morning at 7AM. They were parking to go work on houses on the street near us. We recommend the place, we slept only 1 night.

Put a tent overnight there, no problem. Close to traffic but I slept pretty good. Picnic table nearby are great for breakfast.
