Established primitive site. We were able to get 2 170xSprinters and a trailer into the site. Beautiful! Saw 2 Moose chillin’. Great site for riding 401. There are about 4 sites in this area on the east side of the road. |

An amazing little hidden gem!! The campsite is still being built so you do get upgraded to one of their tents which are super nice! They charge 20 000 pppn for overlanders which includes a HUGE and delicious breakfast. They make a bonfire for you and the staff are all very friendly. It’s a great stop over and we could have definitely stayed longer. Highly recommend |

From here, you can walk up the road / hill until you find three painted boulders, very close to the entrance to the commercial RV park. The path from there leads to the entrance of an abandoned, underground, military hospital. If you are into caving or taking calculated risks, it might be fun to explore. https://www.hiddennewfoundland.ca/underground-bunker#:~:text=Located%20near%20the%20intersection%20of,as%20a%20fully%20functioning%20hospital. We had the RCMP come by for a visit. I figured we were going to get kicked out of the picnic area -- but no, he just stopped by on regular patrol and said all is fine. People do stop by the washrooms at night in cars, so you will have a few visitors. |

Amazing Hotel with wonderful view on Nanga Parbat. This was our first Hotel in Pakistan that we could really enjoy. Very welcoming owner, good food and rooms with western standards.

Amazing place with a view of the Cascade. Owned by a nice couple, they offered camping for 20 000 pesos, and cabañas for 85 000 for two people. We did both, the cabañas are really comfy, clean and the view is breath taking. For camping, there is a palapa to camp under, bathrooms and showers next to it.

Really really beautiful and serene spot. There is wind cover only on one side. There may be some people who came to see the view but everyone leaves before sunset. Uploading some photos of the roughest spots to see the condition of the road. |

we stayed one night, the place was closed for renovations. We parked on the side of the grass but not on the grass. Large enough for our truck and RV=48' and lots of space for other vehicle to come in and out.Traffic gets quieter once dark. Some people stopped to use the porta potty. If you stop, please keep it cleaner then you found it. |

This area is so beautiful! Tons of free camping opportunities right near the water. We didn’t go down to the water due to blue/green algae signs and we have dogs. Should clear up quickly I assume as weather cools down. People were still swimming all over but we can’t risk that with pups. At this particular spot you get your own covered/partly walled picnic area with benches and a metal fire ring. Would definitely come back! Great AT&T service and also trash on site which is so rare and awesome. |
