Nice place to visit, lots of blue macaus, green parrots and other birds! Price is now 30Rs per person and we could overnight in front of the ladies house for free afterwards. Town is tranquilo and relaxed.

I stayed at a few sites back this road and this was my favorite. It is right off of the paved road, which had more traffic than I expected, but it was still very quiet. The spot is a good size (although probably not large enough for large rigs) and had a really nice stone fire pit. Nice mountain views, but they were mostly blocked by smoke during my stay. Good Verizon and spotty TMobile at this spot. Verizon service comes in and out as you drive back the road & this was the only spot where I got TMobile. NF25 is narrow & paved for about 12 miles then turns to dirt. There are also several dirt roads that turn off of NF25, most in pretty good condition.

Piece of cake leaving Peru. Bolivia was a bit of a different matter - it’s easier if you do not require a visa. Very nice people working here!

IMPORTANT: USA citizens are still required to pay $160 for a Bolivian visa. My Danish boyfriend did not need to pay & other EU countries do not need to pay. VISA & Mastercard are accepted here. You do not need copies or forms of any kind if you do not require a visa! Just bring yourself, your passport, and typical vehicle paperwork.

USA requirements for a visa: you will need a photocopy of your passport, small passport size photo of yourself, itinerary, hotel reservation, bus or plane ticket out of Bolivia, bank statement of sufficient funds, and a completed Bolivian visa form (available at the photocopy shop next to immigration, possibly available online). Best to bring your own photocopies of these documents/statements, but you can obtain copies of all these forms and have a photo of yourself taken at the photocopy shop if you do not have. Internet is available here. Soles or Bol only.

Really lovely spot right on the beach! Quiet night for us, as well. The hostal owners were very kind and offered us a restroom and a shower. This is probably the best wild camping spot near a border that we’ve stayed at in Central & South America. If it’s busy season, perhaps it would be a bit more active on the beach and further down in the town, but currently it’s very tranquil. The town itself is a cute place! Backpacker friendly. Enjoy!

Cute campground in the middle of the huge forest, there's A-E loops so plenty of sites to choose from. We got there around 5pm on a Sunday and there were still plenty of first come first served spots left. Clean bathrooms, running water, $24 a night

We stopped by Walmart to see if we can stay for the night but there were signs stating that no overnight parking so we saw few 18 wheels trucks in this street near to Walmart and we decided to parked and stay for the night nest to them. No signs and good for a night. T-mobile 2 bars of LTE.

We braved our way up the dirt road in our van. Traction is fine so no need for 4WD. Went past the google maps pin and just parked in a flat area where there was a road closure. Nice and quiet. Seems like the forest road goes on for a while.

We stood here for 7 days. Very calm, here and there locals came along, but left after a small chat. The view is absolutely stunning, rarely flies, no mosquitos at this time, good mobile connection and easy to reach.
After 7 days the police arrived and told us, that some locals called them, but after a small checkm they left and wished us a further nice time.

Be careful: If you only want to leave Serengeti NP via this gate you have to check in to Ngorongoro GR. They will tell you that there is a transit ticket. But it is practically the full amount for one day in the park, even if you are just passing through. 60 USD pp and 150 USD for every non- tansanian vehicle. What a rip-off!!!

Super quiet, did not notice the person previous reviewer mentioned and I did not see their review before staying there… but I pulled in at about 1030pm and went much further down the road. Keep it clean — theres no trash here as of now, made sure I checked the spot I slept at.

I spoke with the Manager in Hannaford (CJ) before shopping and she gave permission to park overnight for one night in their lot. She said to park furthest away from the store, and stressed they are not responsible should anything happen.

The rear of the lot is lined with trees and even though it is close to the main road, it was quiet.

The WiFi from the store (Fresh-Fi) reaches to the back of the lot.

Awesome spot, clean toilets, trash cans, fire pits, no drinking water though, really cool view of reservoir, and lots of spots, each spot had a little shelter thing too to get out of wind or sun if needed like big enough to pull the picnic table into

You can sleep rua primavera Next to lake Victoria. holambra is a Very calm and quiet city só you can sleep in anywhere. expoflora is an amazing Expo of flowers, The biggest in Latinoamérica, weekends of september and octuber, i think. cost 80 reales but is beautiful

Just a fine place to overnight. You are hidden from the main road and there is a big open area just in front of the soccer field. You can not go any further then this point, because they blocked the road with huge stones. For us this was the best place to stay the night in the area. It is not near houses or stores. So you will have some privacy. When we were there we saw no other persons. The entrance from the main road is a little small. We fitted with our Toyota 4Runner, but broader cars will not fit.

Enjoy! RobJansenphotography
