ByChance | Nice camping right off route 2. We picked up a discover pass from REI in Spokane for more boondocking possibilities and used it here. Not much shade but level sites and a pit toilet. Clean and quiet. Ok cell signal. |

Scissortail Campground | 35.63160, -97.39664
magdalena | By the end of summer, the place got so gross I left after 30 minutes; the whole place smells like a big toilet and specifically human waste. One dilapidated RV had a river running underneath it; smelled like shower water and urine. Won’t go back there other than to watch the sunset. |
Perks Pier Parking | 44.47292, -73.22040
Compa on the road | Spent 1 night here on our way to Bolivia. Seemed safe to us, although it's a bit messy. There are a few cameras. Gas station is open 24/7, toilets as well. A few police cars were parked here as well. They may have some sort of office in the adjacent building. Owner wanted 5 soles. |

Parking in Juliaca | -15.49362, -70.13193
olgavdvelde | It's still there. I don't think the train comes by anymore because there was a locked gate further along the track. Therefore not that special and as we stood out quite a bit as gringos I'm not sure if it's that safe to walk around here. |

Overlandy110 | Stayed twice over the last week or so, on the way to and back from Tuk. Great spot on the right about 3k after the road stops being maintained, but before the fire look out. Large pull out would fit several rigs. Road is fine. Plenty of hikers and mtn bikers passing by but very quiet at night. No others camping when we were there. Had an amazing view of the Northern Lights at 1.30 am. Also had a great dinner at the noodle place in town - very good! |
