We arrived in the early afternoon; there were already a few RVs parked here. We set up right below a sign that says 24H Max Parking.

Nice camping right off route 2. We picked up a discover pass from REI in Spokane for more boondocking possibilities and used it here. Not much shade but level sites and a pit toilet. Clean and quiet. Ok cell signal.

Green meadow with a few trees. Toilets and cold shower available. Very quiet and nice people. A small market is also on the campsite. If you stay a second night, it only costs 60 MXN.

Nice campground but they charged me extra for my kayak even if I don't use it, including check in and out days. This made it a bit too pricey for my liking.

By the end of summer, the place got so gross I left after 30 minutes; the whole place smells like a big toilet and specifically human waste. One dilapidated RV had a river running underneath it; smelled like shower water and urine. Won’t go back there other than to watch the sunset.

Spent 1 night here on our way to Bolivia. Seemed safe to us, although it's a bit messy. There are a few cameras. Gas station is open 24/7, toilets as well. A few police cars were parked here as well. They may have some sort of office in the adjacent building.

Owner wanted 5 soles.

I parked at the entry, before the gate. I stayed for the night. Nobody bothers me. Better place than the one one the other dude. To open and to close to homes. More discrete here.

typical Walmart, fairly quite after 10pm. Didn't see any signs saying no parking, multiple 18 wheelers and at least one other van in the lot with me. plenty of small restaurants nearby.

Couldn't find it. Because of all the buildings in this street I think this was posted under the wrong location, but no idea where the actual parking is. Marking it as closed.

It's still there. I don't think the train comes by anymore because there was a locked gate further along the track. Therefore not that special and as we stood out quite a bit as gringos I'm not sure if it's that safe to walk around here.

Secluded site with enough room for a car/SUV/van. About 20 yards off the road, down a double track. Quiet, apart from the sound of the stream. Three bars of T-Mobile (for some reason no Verizon). Good for an overnight.
There's another spot on the side of the road just after the bridge as well, I just liked the privacy this one gave.

Stayed here 2 nights ago, down at the boat launch. Absolutely the best spot! The track down to the boat launch is not steep at all, and very easy. Well worth it!

Stayed twice over the last week or so, on the way to and back from Tuk. Great spot on the right about 3k after the road stops being maintained, but before the fire look out. Large pull out would fit several rigs. Road is fine. Plenty of hikers and mtn bikers passing by but very quiet at night. No others camping when we were there. Had an amazing view of the Northern Lights at 1.30 am. Also had a great dinner at the noodle place in town - very good!
