Stayed here for 7 nights!! It was safe, quiet, and had plenty of grass for my dogs. Once you enter, turn left and head all the way down till you see a small building and potentially truckers. You’ll know your in the right place because the parking spaces are LONG. Plenty of room.

We attempted to stay other places in NOLA, but nothing compared to the safety and quietness.

Staying here tonight as a first stop in Baja after crossing the border.
The place is nothing fancy but faces the ocean.
Shower is luke warm, toilet dirty but usable.
Staff is friendly and the owner speaks English.
30$ / night includes full hookup.
There’s a supermarket and several restaurants and bars in walking distance.

As of Nov 2022, don't bother going here. Total homeless encampment, and no open sites even if you wanted to camp here. Gate was left unlocked and everyone here was clearly living here. Went up to the north gate and it was much better.

Station was closed off with cones going by at 4pm today. Looked like some kind of construction or fixing was going on.

This is a simple border, but we arrived at midday on aThursday and waited 5 hours to exit Colombian immigration. Luckily by the time we got across to Ecuador we still got our visa at 5.30pm and the tip by 6.30pm. There are now no requirements for covid to enter Ecuador.

Showed my California ID and it’s right past the first stop sign on the left. Don’t make a left at the stop sign because you’ll pass it. Easy and free for california residents

$44 / night. Expensive but nice campground and perfect if you need to be in the area!

Showers are $3 for campers and $4 for non campers. Verizon cell works ok.

Ranger is on top of collecting money for each campground so be sure to pay within the 30 minute time limit.

Showers are “warm”, but still kinda cold.

You are required to have a guide, and can hire one in town across the street from city hall. 3 hour steep muddy hike to an amazing landscape. The guide helped navigate some points where we would be lost. There's a waterfall on the way down. Belmira also has a basic hotel where you can stay the night and hike to the paramo the next morning when the sun is shining!

As stated nice vibe but thats all. Coffee was ok but nothing to rave about. No speciality breads only standard loaves. Pies nothing to comment about.

Parked up with at least 3 other vans. The leaf blower guy came round the whole parking lot at 10:30pm but just walked round doing his maintenance in the lot and around the Walmart. No shouting, just doing his maintenance before the store closed at 11:00pm. Seemed harmless enough.

A bit sceptical we took the dirt road as described, with the village of Ksar Mellab a bit too close for comfort already. However, this place is amazing! Follow the track, and you will end up in a sandy oued with plenty of trees around. We arrived at 14h, stayed the night and saw nobody (quite the achievement in Morocco ;-) ).

Really nice place at the river with good facilities: benches, tables, shades, bbq, good WC and shower block, playground. Locals can come here for picnics. Day use and Camping 5000 Pesos/Person
Seems like the place changed its name because there is no sign „Catemu“

We were with 5 overlander, but were told by community workers to move somewhere else or risk a fine. They also told anywhere was OK, but just for 1 night, then go to yet another place. Strange community policy. The town is very busy but many streets have an overlander sleeping in them. I think they just don't want to create another hotspot where everyone goes like previously next to the beach.

We spent a night on the banks of the river in front of the Tuunteytas hotel. We talked to the owner and he told us that it was a safe place.

The sunset looks beautiful and it is very calm. There are no services of any kind.

Primitive camping along Snake River. Found a great spot with at least a little privacy. Wasn't busy, very few cars since it's so late in the season. Perfect for the night

As described - long, flat and level street with plenty of truck and RV parking on both sides. Felt safe. Road is level with parking on asphalt. Lots of trash and weeds next to road, so don’t plan to walk the dog. Other RVs and trucks present for the night.
