Very quiet night, lots of boats and barges.
Magnificent sunrise and sunset.

This is where you can have your windshield repaired. First go to the office about 500m up the road (also on iOverlander under Patagonia cristaleria) to get a quote and then come here to have the actual repair done. Very friendly and fast. We paid $28000 for fixing 2 rock chips in our windshield from another crazy driver lol

He fixed a fiddly problem with our clutch and was very reliable (looked at it, we went to the islands and then we came back and he did everything he said he would and sorted it out).

Tour Guide for Serengeti Nationalpark and Ngorongoro-Crater.
We booked a Safari to Serengeti-Nationalpark and Ngorongoro-Crater .
In advance, we had different offers and decided to take Jackson and Dickson .
The tour was well prepared and organised.
We didn't want to sleep in tents; we wanted to stay in Lodges.
They two guides chose some extraordinary places with nice rooms and good food.
During the Safari we were really lucky and saw all the big 5 !
Jackson and Dickson knew all the places where we spotted all possible animals, the big as well as the small ones.
They also told us many things we didn't know about the park, the animals, nature and interesting facts about Tansania and its people.
It was an amazing trip that we can highly recommend.
We will never forget this unique adventure.
Thank you so much, Dickson and Jackson.
We really loved this tour!

You can park at the end of the street next to Police Parking Lot. We came here in the morning but didn’t stay. It seems a safe place to boondock. Lots of birds at sunrise. Lots of garbage as usual. Nothing special around. Just a good place to boondock on the way to Morelia.

Just got informed by a tire truck driver that this location is now off limits. I’ve stayed many times and have always supported the business. But the people that leave trailers and vehicles for weeks at a time, take apart and try and fix vehicles in the lot, leave mounds of trash and do illegal things have ruined it for those of us that try to be respectful and mind our own business.

We spent a very peaceful night there. There were 2 more RVs. We got wather from the lake to supply the trailer.

Unfortunately not possible to drive down anymore, a large cut and fallen tree blocks the entrance for cars (probably on purpose)

Stayed here for 2 nights based on the previous iOverlander review.
Car park was open the whole time I was here, except the morning I left and took the photo.
Unfortunately the Internet isn't blazing fast (about 15Mbps up and down) so wasn't great for backing up photos. There's a cafe around the corner (Bistro 702) which has around 150Mbps up/down if you want good WiFi.

Hotel is pretty run down. Only one lift works. You can hear all your neighbours talking and it's freezing cold. No air con control in room. Thankfully we had two beds, so took the extra cover from that.

Wouldn't really stay here again. It served a purpose.

The beach spot is amazing BUT I definately don't recommend this place.
Our two days stay was really bad. First of all they made us pay much more than the price (we had to pay for our 5 year old boys and when they realized the mistake, they say it is too late to give our money back and they took a nice commission on the exchange rate of our dollars)
Then during our 2 days there they acted like we didn't exist when we were here to see the turtles.
We asked to be notified in case of birth which they did not do. We noticed a birth when we went to see them, tired of seeing them in front of us without greeting us or talking to us. We also wanted to know more about their job, they cut short the discussion, not interested in talking to us.
The camping area is nice, in front of the sea, but 500 cordobas for no comodity is too expensive. There is no water, no network, rubbish on the ground are not collected and the toilet are disgusting.

This is the place you need to go to, to get the international health certificate for your pet.
We did the process today because we will cross the boarder to Uruguay in a couple of days.
In general you will need to book an appointment online (http://mascotas.senasa.gob.ar/) though in our case the website had an error. We went there in the morning without an appointment and it was no problem.

Make sure you first visit a vet in advance because the SENASA will need the health certificate issued by a vet. In case you want to go to Uruguay, you will also need a negative test for Leishmaniosis.

They only take credit or debit cards, no cash.

I’ve stayed here several nights (always leave during the day to explore) over the last three weeks. Never any problems. Usually 6-12+ vans/RVs/car dwellers. Nice Rec path across from the lot.

Just got our Health Certificate for our dog for Uruguay. We went there without an appointment which was no problem.
Make sure you have a negative Leishmaniosis Test from a vet if you want to go to Uruguay.
It is an easy process and they will know what you need immediately. Though a few Spanish skills will help a lot.

Saw the Iveco sign, asked for spare parts (clutch); they did have the part, but with a different number - so they made a long phone call to the manufacturer in Brazil for us to find out if the part would fit. Yes! Incredibly nice, helpful and patient. Highly recommended.
