This is open again! The pump in the parking lot area, opposite the building, is unlocked and functioning as of today!

Spoke to a ranger who told me there was an issue in the area with a burst pipe resulting in this station not getting water, but as of this morning, January 12th 2023 the spigot is open, repaired and functioning as normal.

Para quem está chegando na Argentina, importante saber que a luz baixa do carro deve ficar acessa! Não aceitam a luz automática como no Brasil.
Não sei dizer se é uma obrigatoriedade para todas as províncias, mas desde a multa que tomamos em Mendoza, nunca mais andamos sem a luz baixa acessa.

Confirming what others have said. Nice, quiet, urban CG. I had no need for hook ups or electric so let me park in gravel area with access to restrooms, showers, water and internet for $18.

Great spot to stay for a night. Ample parking (I stayed on a Wednesday night), hardly any noise (just a little road noise, but it stayed quiet after 10pm), and just enough Verizon service. There’s lighting, so I felt safe, but it wasn’t so bright that it peeked through my maxxair fan to make it hard to sleep. I parked around 8:30pm and there was one skoolie and a couple sprinter vans. Just make sure you leave by 8am (no parking between 8-10am)

Amazing place to sleep. You have to be 4x4 high clearance to come all the way to the end of the road. It is muddy and I guess almost always wet. When you arrive at the parking lot at the end, don’t go to the right! You’ll get stuck in the mud as we did.
Super quiet at night, there is a guard living here. There is toilets and tables.
The waterfall is beautiful.
Worth coming if you like muddy offroad trails!

stayed here a couple of nights. public beach that lot of local use. Got a little loud last night, but everyone left at midnight. All thru the night local dry by. Great beach and great views. Try to park under the bridge, not next to the beach if you want a quiet night.

dormimos um noite aqui, seguro e muito tranquilo. tem banheiro ao lado e o pessoal empresta energia se pedir. pagamos 5CLP para uma noite. eles pedem pra sair as 7hs.

Lots of flat space, gorgeous sunsets. Lots of other campers but there’s tons of space so you can easily find your own corner of the desert.

Transport truck blocking road. Not able to get across bridge. Blocked last night but was cleared by Nacional Guard by 2100. Blocked again 0800 today.

Great camp site right next to the sea with stunning beach. Enrico’s restaurant close by with excellent food, friendly staff and live music.

Great place to spend the night, with some covers for the car and clean water to fill our bottles. Bathroom and 24-hour convenience store. No shower today, they said no water for showers.

Ótimo lugar para passar a noite, com algumas coberturas para o carro e água potável para encher nossas garrafas. Banheiro e loja de conveniência 24h. Sem chuveiro hoje, disseram que não tinha água para as duchas.

I recomend this place. it is comfortable, cheap and the owners are just the nicest people I have ever met. Food is awesome and there are many outdoors activities to do around the hostel

Dormimos uma noite nesse posto. O gerente falou que tem dois pontos de energia. Um nos banheiros e um na borracharia. Na borracharia ele falou que tinha menos barulho. Estacionamos ao lado do pneu escrito “borracharia “ e nosso cabo de 25m deu bem certinho.

Excelente camping! Por lejos el mejor en que hemos estado en sur Argentino por ahora. Todo muy cuidado, excelente infraestructura y servicios. Los precios están bien y son comparables a otros con menos calidad. En enero 2023, 2500 pesos argentinos por noche.

Seems OK now that it's not on Google Maps (please keep it that way). ANY 2wd vehicle can access it via the "5 Palms access road" pin from Whitlock Rd. You must camp a little bit away from the oasis (you'll see the signs) Water temperature is tepid but nice on a warm day, lots of fish, birds, frogs, bats at night. Not closed.

Any 2wd vehicle can make it to the Oasis via this access road off of Whitlock Rd

Lookout point, great spot to access the sand dunes, no camping, pit toilet.
