I wouldn’t say there were a lot of pullouts. And a few were taken when I got there. There was one that looked like a homeless camp but I didn’t see anyone there. Stayed two nights. Only heard gunshots midday. Did see casings. I had a strange feeling here but maybe that was just me! Had no problems. Chipmunks (I assume) were climbing around the underbelly of my van. Some people walked by at night along the road. Otherwise, quiet and no issues.

Don’t come here at the weekend. There are hundreds of people here.
Otherwise it’s a good place for a night.

Place says no camping and only open from sunrise to sunset

Checking in because the last one was a couple of years ago. Baja ferries and TMC still leave from here. This location is for Baja ferries. Ticket sales are inside, you'll need a printout from the weighing station. The ticket attendants speak English reasonably well, all others only speak Spanish but everyone was very nice to us.

Make sure you bring some cash to pay for the weighing station (65 pesos), the 'use' of the port in la Paz (210 pesos), and a cleaning fee (30 pesos).

You can also reserve and pay online, an 'automobil' is anything 6 meters or shorter. Anything over that is probably classified as a RV (we have a short van so no experience with this).

We paid 9625 pesos of which about 2000 was for a 2 person cabin.

Drove 60km/h down this whole road. All the locals drive really slow as well, so seems that the police presence is constant. About halfway down to topolobampo there was a police car on the side of the road, presumably they were checking for speed.

Have to drive through the inspection area but we were waved through without stopping.

We were charged 700 pesos for two people. Place was comfy enough. Hot water, A/C, secure parking for motorcycles (shut off engine as you literally roll through the house).
Wifi was so-so; it only worked in the courtyard, which is shaded by the trees.
A few convenience stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Hours at these businesses seem limited, especially on Sundays.

Quiet parking lot between the park and road. Cars pass frequently but there is not too much noise and none bothered us. The parking lots are in the dark. There are also toilets (open 7am-7pm). There is also drinking water in the skate park.

Free parking spots on both sides of the road with no time limit. The fill up fast.

Nothing remarkable. Just as any other spot on the steppe. We parked a bit away from the track closer to the salt lake. Windy during the day but very calm at night. We weren't bothered by the passing trains. Quite a few mosquitos though.

Perfect place when you travel with a motorbike or car. I checked out alot of places but everywhere is super expensive. This is the best option you have when you wanna visit the islands for couple of days. Great services! 40 dollar for one night with shuttle service parking service everything included.

Designated area for park & ride off of the Taconic Pkwy, NY. Close to CT state line off US 84.
Minimal road noice. A few street lights.

a nice grassy spot with heaps of flat areas for cars and tents. porta potties were there for use but need to be emptied. could hardly hear the highway except for a few trains overnight. overall good stay.

We did the whole Namaqua 4x4 trail in our big rig (with high clearance). It is a beautiful and mostly remote 700km trail in all so you need enough fuel and water for that distance. Some areas are quite sandy so some experience of 4 wheel driving an advantage.

Bookings are supposed to be made though Namaqua4x4eco trail website but they never answered emails or calls. Worth a try though (081) 873-9043.

As described. We were told that it was no longer possible to hike without a ranger/ guide. Orders from the head office he said. Cost: $5 pp.

320 rand for two of us in a tent, use of wifi is 20 rand more for 500mbs. We were the only ones there during our stay, the whole place felt a little deserted! Very quiet and peaceful though. You’re camping around the back of the building but it’s accessible to anyone from the street - we asked if it was safe to leave our things there when we went to the beach etc and they said they’d never had any issues.

Perfect camping on lush grass, under shaded trees right on the beach with shared electricity & potable water near sites. Ablusions clean with hot showers. Pool, Restaurant & Bar overlooking the Lake. Professional and friendly staff.

Most magnificent sunrise and sunsets. Must visit place.

Stayed one night. Super dope spot actually, there were a good amount of people coming and going throughout the day for fishing I presume. Being right on the beach is pretty cool, you can even drive down a few miles each way on the beach. I saw some large motor homes down there, just depends how ballsy you are with the steep grade out. Cell coverage with Verizon was good, loaded videos and music fairly quickly. Used blocks to get level. There was some firewood but it was pretty green so I imagine it wouldn’t burn well.

It’s great. Next to road but fully in trees and several sites further back in. Was only $10 paid to the camphost on May 15th.

As described previously. A couple of cars/vans drive by at night but otherwise quiet. It must also be a trailhead because someone came in the morning for a hike.

A bit rundown, only cold showers, but good for one night.

Cool Hostal, we came late at night in need of accomondation. The owner is verry verry kind and giving his best that you have a good time. Clean rooms, nice beds and sheets. Showers and Toilets in good shape and there is a big garden to relax. I'd go back any time - great experience. The breakfest is also verry good.
