Personally I think this is an excellent spot: easy to get to, fairly level, by a small creek, near gas and food, near Yosemite, free WiFi, clean restrooms, picnic table and children's playground. What more can you ask for? ;-) Yes it's a parking near a road, but it's not meant for stay & chill.

Don't go here. Just tried to find parking after a long day of driving and someone shot at me. I was driving slowly as I only have small clearance and parked so they could pass, that's when they fired the first time. I turned around and stopped again to see where to go next when they fired a second and third time from their car.

This was very easy to locate, everything was clean!

As described. 40-second turn off took me about 12 presses to fill a 21 gal tank.

It's a huge spot. There is a bunch of parking up and down this stretch of the highway, but this spot lets you get off the road a decent amount. We are a 35ft skoolie and we were so fine parking here. It is absolutely beautiful as well!

Several signs saying "no overnight occupancy", "no camping"

Pulled in after dark to find an amazing dark sky with bright stars and an empty lot. The bathrooms were open with flushing toilets and sinks. I had an emergency with my deep cycle batteries so I parked my 22' C Class next to the ofrenda and plugged my RV to an outlet inside to get a charge. I used a 15' RV extension cord to reach with extra cord available. My volt meter said L and Neutral are reversed and I find that a lot in Mexico. No one was around except a few drivers who stopped briefly and then conducted on their way without bothering me. I had no problems here and my dogs enjoyed eating cow poop.

Parking lot at the city park with many shady picnic tables. Public toilets, water taps and rubbish bins available. Had a quiet night.

Chevron gas station, propane, fuel and convenience store

3 dump stations, free. A little hard to find, go down Oliver street (to downtown), go to the end and turn left onto McKenzie Ave. Turn left in the stampede grounds just before the highway.

Quiet, free, room for a trailer. outhouses were clean and nice short hike up to a restored fire lookout.

almost camped here, but it just felt really odd. just surrounded by dilapidated houses. not even sure if camping here is actually allowed. (park across the river at the “Beacon Lot” instead!)

overnight parking is only allowed on the very east side of the parking lot, seems like the coordinates are off on the map. there /are/ signs that say “overnight parking”, but you have to drive all the way down to find them. they say specific days of the week on them, i don’t know if that’s enforced. we stayed on a saturday night (which was an approved day of the week on the sign) and had no issues— just loud trains. but walking distance to downtown! felt safe. there were other vans parked.

Spigot was unlocked but I bought some beer and asked the cashier anyway. He said “yes of course” and was very friendly. Please buy something if you can and ask inside so they will keep allowing us to fill up!! Some sketchy characters around this gas station also.

The spot is nice, not completely hidden but in the dark more than ok and it is very quiet.

Beautiful campsite. Brenda and her daughter are very nice. Make reservation if you want to eat. Don’t follow google maps.

no idea, but couldn't find a hidden spot, yet one that wasnt super windy.

We stayed for one night with our defender. It is not suitable foe big Campervans. Beautiful views. Albeit is is behind a street you can sleep well . No traffic after 22.00 until 8.00.
This is the best spot around. The tipp came from the local firebrigade.

Large gas station to overnight. Didn't ask for power and it wasn't offered as well. Just for overnight for it's a little bit noisy

Lugar para parar durante o dia. Passamos a tarde aqui trabalhando e foi ok. O estacionamento é do lado da rua, por isso, ficam passando carros, mas é uma opção de frente pra praia e a praça é gramada, o que foi ótimo pro nosso dog.

D707 to get here is horrific .. not suitable for trucks, maybe rental cars.

Paid €45/night via booking.com. Very nice simple accommodations. Secure parking for motorcycles. Close to all food and city walking. Excellent host Eric. Great value.

lugar gostoso e com moradores simples e receptivos. porém seguimos uma sugestão e pernoitamos na orla ao lado da Guarda Municipal. Mas, como era sábado para domingo, houve pancadão em lanchonete próxima e isso não foi legal. Tirando isso, de boa, tanto a beira do rio como na guarda São ótimos lugares.
a praia é com ondinhas calmas. estava frio pra banho.

Perfectly nice and clean open campground area with mowed grass. Restrooms at the entrance. Mostly tent campers. Very quiet on a Saturday night. Had nice people on both sides.

Beautiful, more luxurious hotel with very comfi rooms and a really good and hot shower. Excellent lakeviews. Nice swimmingpool. Good parkingspace. A place to rest en reload. Unfortunately we were the only guests so atmosphere was somewhat less. Good services. Great breakfast. Not cheap: 660B/matrimonial. There are cabins as well 1050B/5p.
