Theres a Medium size gravel at the end of a Road where you can park for one night.
It's not that bright lighted during the night as the visitor center.

There was at least a dozen other overnighters here. I didn’t find any pit toilets, but a single porta-potty, which seemed to be due for emptying. It occasionally collected a short line of people needing to use it.
I initially tried parking next to the tall grass that had signs about not cutting or spraying for repairing habitat, but my dogs kept finding chicken wings and drumsticks in there (like the meat was all still there and a trash can was within a few feet, who does that??). I moved to the RV parking because there weren’t any RVs around and we were chicken-free there.
Traffic noise was a little loud, but tolerable for a single night.

This road to the Cerro Negro cost us a lot of time, caused a lot of dents and scratches. The road conditions are bad and narrow. Many overhanging trees, hardly possible for tall cars. We would recommend the route from the direction of Leon.

one of the most comfortable camp sites, clean toilettes, HOT showers, especially for motorhomes, they made very nice places with table, banches, bbqs with covered roof, place to was dishes all very clean, no WiFi, but entel has good reception here. Beach is very nice and long, you can see the seals playing and dolphins sometimes. There is a restaurant belongs to campsite. We paid 10.000 per night for 2 people and the van.

Yes. It is a scary road. So many blind curves. Locals drive it fast so be Carefull. But I think any car can do it (big rigs will struggle maybe). We did it in 2 days.

Great spot!! But be Carefull, dont drive near the river, theres a hydroelectric that controls the river so you never know when it will be flooded. We had a super quiet night and morning!! Beautiful!

This place is really nice. It's safe, great spot for camping! Jose and Patricia, the owners of the place, are super welcoming, friendly and super amazing people. It's a free spot, but any donation of food, dog food (they have 44 in the shelter) or money is more than welcoming. No hot shower, but there's a pit toilet. The climbing in the place is nice, but do not expect as good spot as Piedra Parada.

Amazing place to stay with tent or big rigs, the keeper let us camp in a building with no roof but completely protected from the wind. The place is absolutely worth a visit.
We ended up paying 2500 CLP pp included the visit to the ghost town. Stargazing is excellent!

Wild camping: No utilities. We were not alone there was several peoples when we came in. Once it was getting dark, only few campers spend the night. Our neighbour, was on the other side of the pound.

It's a pull off on the side of the road. Cars going by, but nothing too bad. Pretty big space, room for a few vehicles.

Large place with palapas, firepits, trash cans and children's playground at the reservoir. Also suitable for big rigs. At the weekends a lot of locals, also at night....

There are about 6 undesignated campsites on a loop right along the river. Camping is allowed here through DNR. No amenities. The road in is a dirt seasonal road but well maintained.

Saw the notices about only three hour parking during the dark hours, and took a chance to spend the night.

We’re traveling in a camper van and had absolutely no problems pulling in around 7 PM and leaving around 8:30 AM.

Quiet place to sleep and beautiful views.

Stayed 3 nights there and it was perfect. The weather is so fresh, you can swim by the river and even if it’s next to the road you can park and feel like you are by your own.
In our opinion, it’s better than the « Boquete free camp » on IOverlander

Spend one night here but we enjoyed more the « Cascada Los Ramones » on IOverlander and the phone signal is better on the other spot ;)
Here you cannot go easily to swim on the river

Nice spot near the Jungle Hill trailhead off Hwy 20 and USFS 2030. Three fire pits and plenty of room for a few vehicles. Road from 20 is in good condition. No cell coverage.

There are many small shops in the city but very few have veggies. This place is amazing and sells only fruits and vegetables, all fresh. Good choice.

I pulled in at 10:30 pm and stayed until 10:30am the next morning. I loved this spot. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and the park nearby is fun to explore. Most importantly, I felt safe.

Trail head parking. It was packed out with cars being a long weekend but we lucked out with a great park for our 24' RV. It quitened down a lot until there was just us and one other Adventure truck overnight. Perfect! Quiet, serene and just lovely. No facilities as it is outside tourist season but all good.

Ok spot for one night before or after surfing. Noisy because of the highway.

Tout près de l'entrée du parc, top ! Pas mal d'emplacements sympa avec feu possible.
Par contre dès 8h30, des helico et avions qui passent au dessus toutes les 5 minutes voire moins.

Pools with natural water and a waterfall. Good for kids as well. A local recommended this place. Entry is $160 pesos person. The place is not super modern but clean. Locals come here. Lots of shade. You can spend a day here. It's probably wise to avoid the weekend.

Police was here around 12h30. Asked for license, TIP and insurance. Looked through all the documents very carefully to find something that wasn't right to ask money but didn't find anything. Then asked for passport (which are located in the back of our truck) so we got out and he immediately started to say that it was alright, we can go, whitout showing him our passports. Don't know if it has to do with the fact that we got out of the car or not but he let us go without asking for anything. Not a very nice guy though, we spoke spanish which helped a lot
