loved this beach. saw a mama and baby whale even though it's late in the season (April 10). wild horses come in the night and eat trash from the cans. beautiful but short hike on the sides of the beach. we barely made it under the bridge bridge leave in our xtra tall Ford Transit.

I’ve been struggling to find good quality mechanic for my GSA that I rode to Ushuaia from California. Official Dealers didn’t install confidence and were expensive.
Luckily I found Edgar (Gaita) and Huan at Patagonia Motorrad who sorted out the issue for me to keep riding north to Brazil and Venezuela
They work on many types of motos. Edgar been around the world on his GSA so a wealth of knowledge about places and motorcycle maintenance
Highly recommend!!!

Estrada de ripio, local isolado e escondido a 500 mts da ruta 52 a 3098 msmm. Há um grande cactus a esquerda. Aparentemente outros viajantes já estiveram neste local. Silencioso e tranquilo.

STOP HERE AND WALK THE TRAIL. The next part of this trail can be extremely dangerous for trucks with a lot of weight.

There are currently two parts of the trail that are washed out more or less.

Bare bones, gritty parking lot-type place that should only be considered as a last resort. If you like camping among derelict, abandoned rvs next to a loud, dusty road where atvs roar up and down, this is that place. Plus side--Short walk into charming Todos Santos, parks and little tiendas. Overpriced at $300p per night, flush toilets, a shower we did not use, and power. WiFi only near the office,, also did not use. Honestly would be a good location for a night if they would just clean it up and put some effort into the place. Looked very sketchy upon entering, but no problems were had. Got the heck out early am.

Ótimo local pra pernoitar. Tem iluminação e super limpo. Ficamos 2 noites aqui. Durante o dia ficamos no quiosque da praia onde tem internet e água. A praia é ótima pra banho. Bem pertinho do rio.

Same access road (at mile marker 88) as the other spot noted. This is hidden and off the road. Super quiet for being so close to Rt 78.

What a great spot!!!! We followed the instructions you can find bellow in the comments, and found the small road on the right coming from Chiclayo. It’s small but ok for our van. Note that the road was damaged below so it’s no longer possible to get to the lake with a big vehicle (only moto or moto taxi). We were still able to find a good spot for our van and our tent. The ground is pretty hard and rocky, not recommended if you don’t have a mattress for those in tents. We found loads of dry wood for the campfire, had a nice walk by the lake, watched the gorgeous bright stars and had a perfect evening. We saw loads of donkeys and goats and a few people walking around but not many. We had a quiet night even if the trucks aren’t too far. Highly recommended spot!

Many spots along the dirt road. As described, NNE edge of the mesa, a few rocks, 1-2mph, 2wd old Econoline van. Road is just being graded today. The Mesa is not a good road to do when there's rain, needs a few sunny days to dry. 2 bars Verizon

There is only one way left open to reach this place. Follow Hugolino Lillo almost to the lake and then turn to C. Veinte. We spent one night on the lake shore, but we had to use our 4x4 on the sand. We spent another night on the river shore, right before reaching the lake, where it's even more beautiful, there is a lot of shade and it's accessible without 4x4, but not for big rigs.

This region is really very beautiful! We thought we would go a little further but we do not go very quickly on these tracks, so we stopped here. The view is incredible! Only downside is next to the track and there is a bit of passage even during the night (about twenty cars). Very very weak Claro signal.

Small parking lot behind library beside the church. Park up against the library as the rest of the parking lot is used by the school during weekdays, and presumably the church on weekends. Probably more flexibility in the summer when school is out.
I called tourist info to confirm.
Washrooms available 24hrs at the tourist information building a few minutes walk away.
Very nice little town, good place to stay the night.

Super nice for birding in the lagoon! It was super windy though, and no protection, so moved back inland to Yarborough Pass.

Super quiet, out of the wind and sand. The first 100m from the beach is super soft sand, then easy going. Spotty cell service on the west side of the dunes.

Beautiful spot with several sites spaced widely apart. Clean vault toilet open 24/7. Peaceful, safe, and quiet. The road in was easy to drive with minimal potholes. Did not notice any insects aside from a few mosquitos at dusk. No connectivity. Would definitely stay here again.

I spent the night here and didn’t have any trouble. It was quiet, outside of cars closing doors & such.
I have full bars of 5GUC with T-Mobile.
And bonus - the showers in PF are great! Big, properly functioning shower heads, super hot water

Easily accessible with our campervan (no 4x4). Coordinates are correct. At the entrance there is signage with their name. You can drive through there, you are parked in the parking lot. Lots of garbage. There was someone at the gate who received us. 10$ for 1 night. Use of swimming pool is clean. Shower at the pool is just ok. Toilets have no lighting and toilet paper. There is a restaurant where we were allowed to use WiFi. Didn't eat there. We stayed 1 night because of the heat. Nice view of the lake.

Parking in front of the municipality building. You can find some shelter from the wind. Toilets open during the day. Very chill and calm until the trucks start boarding the ferry in the morning. A few cute cats playing around :)
