Water either didn’t work or needed $10 for dump station. Not worth it.

The Citadel is closed because of renovation. Hopefully open in 3 months

Within the citadel is the interesting Kurdish textile museum with a lot of rugs, well displayed with info in English. You can visit the museum (and therefore see a part of the citadel) by making an appointment with Mr Sertip Mustafa 00964-7504719483. He and his family have started the museum. He speaks English.
Entrance fee 1500

We stopped here for a plate of rice, beans and veg and chai. 6000 for two portions, and have to say it was one of the best beans we've had in 3 months in Africa. They also accepted card!

Really nice hotel, all clean and new rooms. Large double bed with framed mosquito net. There was a pier cut across the whole of the city but as they had solar backup, the lights worked. Internet available and felt safe to lock bikes outside.

25000 for the double room, includes breakfast for one person. additional 5000 for second breakfast.

Firstly we tried Manguzi Executive Lodge but they charged 30000 for a tiny poorly maintained room and no back-up power supply. Definitely this place is better all round

Track is pretty beaten up at the moment, would need a 4x4 to access the lower river spot.

Beautiful campground at Thetford mines, for summer with 3 services but they have a dozen four seasons places without services. Picnic table and firepit. Shower, toilet and laundry available.

Great spot to camp for the night. Just off the road down the boundary fence of the community camp then right onto the pans. stunning sunset and no one in sight only distant cow bells in the background.

Beautiful drive from Cochrane, a few steep bits but suitable for all vehicles. Nice little gravel pit at end of road to park for the night. Sheltered. A lot of cow s**t but otherwise Beautiful view of lake and small jetty. 🥰 no mobile signal

I only enter to the gravel road 500 mts and put my tent on the flat side right to the road, very relax night only sounds of animals.

Very well keept, there are some trees so you are hidden from the road even if you are very close to it. Pay attention that the road could be muddy after rains.

Great spot at the end of the road. Some noise from the highway but nothing terrible. Amazing spot to watch the sunset and an amazing view to wake up to in the am.

As described, nice spot much quieter than being directly on the highway haha. Place fits several cars but depending on how they all park if only 3 fit or more

Forrest service road was rutted upon entry so would not recommend if wet or chance of moisture. Many spots with fire rings within first half mile of entry. Road gets narrower and rougher as you go in further. Found a spot further in which was great an away from the crowd. Spotty cell service. This is one of the last areas around Sedona that allows dispersed camping so pick up after yourself and others to keep it that way.

Great for passing through, probably wouldn't stay more than a night.

Several "spots" in a field, not super level throughout, close to local road and nuclear power plant.

That said, we had a peaceful and restful night as we were passing through GA.

Nice camping spot with a pond next to it, space enough for up to 18 cars. They charge us 25 per tent and 10 per adult. It has a nice view with some cows and dogs.

Temperature at midnight went from 28°C to 9°C. Come prepared with sleeping bags and some jackets.
