the gate was open so kept going. had to cut some overgrown trees, all to find next to no place to park. finally settled on this 'turnout' which has a 2° lateral tilt. but the mosquitos were so bad, I didn't want to take the time to get out the leveling blocks. just ran to the camper and shut door quickly.

The location itself already justifies preparation for shipping the vehicle to the port. I used one day of parking and 3 nights in a room. Alex offers all the support you need, including everything from mechanical care to a vehicle wash.

As others have posted, there is a sign allowing parking up to 48-hrs. It is a big asphalt lot and it is level. There is one other rig here for the night

Large asphalt public parking behind the Hotel De Ville allowing 24h parking. It is between an airport and a residential area, but very very quiet. No large planes use this airport and no planes fly at night, or barely any. Half the parking spot is reserved for Police vehicles so very safe spot. At night there are a few cars from residents, one can easily blend in. Slept there many nights and never had any problems. Also walking distance is a Marché selling various foods with a couple restaurants and public rest rooms.

A real phantastic place to stay on „bird peninsula“. Nice view, only nature with lot of herbs, enough space, calm, shade, less until no rubish, clean water on lakeside and at least, one restaurant in front of the peninsula 😊.

Nice guest house with basic but clean facilities. Fast wifi, secure parking for motorcycles or a small vehicle, big rigs would need to park on the road. Right beside the police station so I think it’s safe. We had a room with two beds, 650 som per person includes a decent breakfast. There are also rooms with 4 beds. Washrooms and showers are shared, but very clean. Host speaks a little English and is very helpful.

Good food, decent beer. Seems like a popular spot for both locals and tourists. There is a service charge on top of the bill. (15% I think it was)

Fenced dog park. Has free parking next door and poo bags available. Also water for dogs. Gets busy with small dogs. Large dogs are permitted just make sure they get along.

Still here - well stocked for most things but for fruit and veg is better to get it in the central bazaar/people selling on the streets.

In 2019 and this time we stayed about 1km north-east of this point at the end of the other sand path 46.72608° N, 50.16730° E.
This time, military vehicule went by us without stopping, but stopped around the coordinates given for this spot. Maybe better to stay at out out spot.

Perfect spot, but as described it is tricky to get here with a big car. My defender fitted between the rocks, but guidance was need to do it.

The spot is at lake level, which is almost empty.
It's a very large plateau where there are only cows and donkeys with collars that go gling gling.
Very nice place.
No humans.

To get there, take the road perpendicular to the lake, then just before the lake leave the track to cross the bush.

Administration Center for the Borjomi-kharagauli National Park. Here you can register (fill out a paper form at the administration center) before going to the park, it is mandatory and free of charge. You can also buy a map with hiking trails in the park (5 Lari). The staff is speaking English. Clean toilets available. The parking area is narrow.

Road is washed out, not crossable (by motorcycle anyways) at this time. 4x4 is maybe doable. I do not recommend riding up here while it’s raining or when roads are wet, the mud is so slick my brakes wouldn’t even work and my moto would slide backwards on even small inclines.

The place is still there, easy to reach and also good for big rigs. Lots of trash at the picnic site in front but a little further no trash at all. No traffic during the night but lots in the morning and evening.

Still going strong today. Ice cold and clear.

This is a huge supermarket of the type you rarely see in east Africa. Rows and rows of clean, well laid out products - including fresh meat, fruit and veg, drinks, breakfast cereal. Very European or South Africa style. We haven’t seen anything like this for months!!

Great guesthouse for motorbikers. Private and cover parking for motorcycles.
Very clean all (bedrooms, salon, etc).
Stalin Museum just 5 minutes walking. Supermarket, restaurants, coffee shops and spare things shops for motorcycles.
The host (David) is very very nice and helpful.

Perfect coffee, breakfast or brunch break spot. Awesome coffee and juice. Also several varieties of pretzels.
You can sit in- and outside.
Delicious pizza as well.

Spent one night wilcamping here, in a mango grove between some gardens and compounds. It was quiet and peaceful, in the morning some cows passed. Beware of the red ants though, they live on and aroubd some trees and are quite aggressive.

Flat parking lot. Quiet after store closes. Great store for stocking supplies.

there is an antenna with a security guy, you can enter and pick up your tent, very safe, friendly people. enjoy no water, no energy, cellphone network available. enjoy.

A nice outdoor shop along the main highway. it is located upstairs but you can see the rucksacks hanging. The lovely owner sells nice quality second hand outdoor equipment but more importantly gas for camping cookers and Lifestraws for drinking water.
