Training a new guy, thorough search of our camper took all vegetables and meat. First time this happened at an Ar border, officer claimed that it was a requirement of this border crossing. BEWARE. His starched khakis should have warned us. No dog, so hide your food!

This location was previously entered as “one tent” business. It is in fact a full service campground but also with cabanas for rent. iOverlander doesn’t seem to allow recategorization, so am adding this as a separate entry.

Full bar and you can park next to it with a cable you have electricity. Pool is man made but in a way that it takes advantage of the cool rocks. Super nice people. Cool cabanas for rent as well. Cheapest for 2 people is 100,000., 7 person midsized for 200,000, large for 11 persons 350,000. Camping a bare 10000 cop per vehicle per night plus 5000 per person pool charge. Pool table, too!

In the rainy season is this road not the best choise. A lot of mud and we met here on Monday maybe 20 convoys of big trucks in both directions.

Big gravel lot next to the road, not hidden, but amazing view at the valley. Very calm, just some cows around.

This place is very a clean, comfortable, and a central Hospedaje to stay in. Jorge is the owner and He is a nice guy, if you talk more with him he can give you a map of the city and give you advices.
You can pay with US dollars, its very pricy. One room for two people, one Big bed, we payed 17 USD.
The rooms are big enough so you put your bikecycle in yours.
The shower is Nice and hot, and the wifi ir has a good signal.
You have two cheap restorants crossing the street.

Nice place with good little restaurant. Chicken plate includes fries and salad for 60ZKW. Initially quoted 100ZKW pp for camping but was able to negotiate to 150ZKW for two people to camp in rooftop tent. Shower is very hot in gym. Reception has WIFI but it was not working at the time of our visit.

parked here for the day, secure. there is a height restriction, maybe more than 3 meters may not fit? we are approximately 2.7 and we fit fine. plenty of space once inside gate. $30 córdobas/day, did not ask about overnight. tried to park at the other location just down the street, and they said parking was not available and directed us here...

Policia estatal pulled us over, we said we didnt speak spanish, they asked for our drivers licenses so gave them our copies + international driver's license. they asked for the insurance documents and verified the car VIN number. silence for 5 min then gave us our documents back and let us go. didnt look into the van or if the dog had a leash (although we had already tied him down)

We stayed here one night and it was a GOOD experience. The owner was happy to have us. It was the most QUIET of all the places along the beach. Nice to have space and allow the dogs to run free. I would recommend this spot!

Apparently water is expensive around here so that may be the reason they were SHIFTY about the showers and toilets in the past. They also asked us to pay if we used the facilities... it was 150 MX a night.

We talked them down from 200. I imagine when it’s busy that may not be possible.

Hope you enjoy your stay here as we DID. It always takes a while to work out the kinks as a new business.

it was one of the best campsites on our trip, it is like a farm, there were, chickens, turkeys, ducks, a donkey and a horse. Nice garden, we paid 200 pesos pp. it has a fully equipped kitchen for customers, also nice banks and duchas, all very clean. We have really enjoyed our stay here.

If you sleep in your van, there is parking places in front of the infocenter or on the (somewhat large) street. We were a lot who slept there when we arrived at 2am from the ferry that left Hornopirén at 21h. No trouble finding a spot.

We stayed here 1 night for 500 peso. The host spoke English and was very friendly. He allowed us to have our dog stay with us after explaining he was well behaved. The showers were hot and had good pressure. But the wifi was too weak to even connect to so had none throughout our stay. Telcel phone service was good though. The room heater worked well and the TV had movie channels that you could play in English. The hotel is right in amongst the town which has many cafes, restaurants and shops, but is terribly littered and full of stray dogs. Felt safe.

Nice place to stay over nicht, not far from Santiago and much cooler at night. In front of the mirador is a parking lot which five places for cars or small campers. Nice view. A bit noisy as it is a popular place in the environment. But quiet between 24.00 and 6.00.

We stayed 3 nights and had an excellent time. Yes, your not allowed to take the trails into the forest but you can certainly walk on the shoreline.
Free camping, WiFi and electricity. Hot showers. Mango and avacado trees. What's not to like about this place.

Tons of RVs and trucks spend the night here, so it can feel like a game of Tetris trying to find a spot for your rig. You occasionally hear planes and trains, but nothing a pair of ear plugs can't fix. Check in with security to get a pass, which is good for up to 7 days at this location and their location further south on I-19. You can sign up for their players club to get $10 in free play and a $10 food credit.

There is a sign when entering the Walmart shopping complex stating no overnight parking but I didn’t get hassled and there were a couple other cars and vans there. I was sure to go in and give them business. Safe.

This parking spot and start of the trail to Los Gatos is not mentioned on maps.me.
We passed this Park spot from the 2wd parking site to the 4wd parking site. After this place the 4wd road gets a much more 'left- right- difference. And one part is very steep.
