tigr_zo | Finca Akila horse tours. Dan and Kristell are warm and friendly hosts, offering a range of different tours, for beginner to advance riders. They love and look after the horses. Cabañas are currently under construction, one is ready for guests to stay in, more on the way. Active coffee farm also, absolutely stunning views. Very peaceful spot. Google maps location is accurate, narrow road from La India veers to the left around a house, fairly steep last section but concreted tyre tracks.

globe-discover.ch | Very nice campground on the shore of lake kariba. Margot and Richard are so helpfully and theirs hospitality is great. Shower and toilets are super clean and functional. We got some fish from Margot for the braii. They have some houses built on theirs property and a walk up on the top of the hill will give you a stunning view over lake kariba.

diogombcarneiro | MODERATOR NOTE: Description provided by owner or manager. Refúgio Santa Teresa, on the banks of the Taquari-Mirim River, offers an incredible experience for camping, motor home and day use. Our wooded area and our great star Riozinho, provide shade and fresh water to all visitors. Several hammocks and tables with benches scattered around the environment are special invitations to contemplate nature. It is also possible to carry out outdoor activities such as a float ride, walk and trail in the middle of the savannah where the fauna and flora of our biome can be observed. We have a functional kiosk that caters to tourists with an equipped kitchen, fridge, freezer, oven and wood stove. Female and male bathrooms with hot water shower.
** We have cell phone signal amplifier in the kiosk area |

renee.yoxon | The parking lot for cars is clearly marked 3-hour maximum. I asked about overnight parking but the people working at the convenience couldn't give me an answer. in the end I didn't feel comfortable staying there. |

instagram.com/kangaandtheru | Spent one night here, and another night at a spot nearby. Dirt/gravel road was easily accessible in my AWD Impreza sedan. Google Maps routed us weird, so we followed the road on Gaia GPS. There is a fire pit, but there is currently a fire ban in place. Not the most level spot, but amazing views. Felt safe enough as a solo female traveler with two dingos. If you have smaller dogs/cats, watch out for the large birds of prey that have nests in the cliffs. Follow us for more dog-friendly BLM camping! @KangaAndTheRu |

seraphinvetter | Excellent and newly built resort on a really nice stretch of beach. Super nice atmosphere. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed every day of it. You can go snorkeling just at the beach or they can arrange a boat trip to a small nearby island. 25 min walk from the main village on the island. Every couple of weeks there is live music from local artists and a big local party going on. Don't miss that!
Spotless beachfront ensuite chalets with breakfast (coffee/tea, eags & toast) from 25'000MKW per room.

ourfulltimeadventure | Path getting in here were a bit “short” and right but it was all worth it. We’re 11ft 11inches tall and we were just fine. Gets a little loud at night with locals coming in and out but that’s fine. Just turn some white noise on. Free free free free palapas YouTube- @ourfulltimeadventure

katherineletts | Blockade(s) in this area. Imagine the two lane highway as a parking lot and then multiply that by 4 because the sides of the road are also filled with cars parked every direction. Semi-trucks we’re not allowed to pass through, but vehicles were able to very very slowly trickle through. Police presence tried to organize the traffic. They had shields and there were higher tensions at the actual blockade point. Expect long delays. |
Blockade | -16.51875, -71.79807 | |
Oberon | Beautiful spot tucked out of sight of the road. Only downside is it's close enough to the road that you definitely hear occasional cars passing at night. I hadn't heard of Backus Woods before, but it's the largest remaining tract of old-growth Carolinian forest in Ontario. So walking through the woods is highly recommended, and be aware that it's a sensitive protected wetland. |
