Very cool place to camp. Lots of cooling wind. Good cell service. Just an under-rated place, really liked it.

There is a phone number but we met that guy before calling. We asked for 2 gallons of fresh water to drink. He said yes. I saw that he was hesitating because if I said to fill up the fresh tank, I guess he would have say no. No problem. This water is coming from a well. So, better than in port Aransas. It is possible to camp for 30 $ us a night. It is in a field. No shade.
En dehors de la route 35, de la bonne eau provenant d'un puits. On a rencontré le propriétaire qui nous a permis de prendre 8 L d'eau pour boire. Merci Fred. Il est possible de le joindre mais je n'ai pas noté le numéro !

As others have said, absolutely beautiful place right on the water for 200 pesos per night for 2 people (incl van and dog). We parked there with our 170 Sprinter (the van parking itself is not right on the water) and had plenty of space even though there were a few other vans there. Really clean toilet in the parking area which is super convenient! Communal kitchen and dining area where lots of people hang out, so it's a great spot to come and meet like-minded chilled people from all over. We stayed 3 nights but easily couldve stayed longer- I think lots of people come and never leave!! Olga is a really lovely host, speaks great English and is very helpful. We went with our tiny dog and she got on well with all of Olga's dogs - I was a bit worried because of a comment below about aggressive dogs, but I can assure you none of her dogs were even slightly aggressive. They're all very friendly! There are bikes to take to town and kayaks for the lake. Make sure you do a sailing trip with the person Olga recommends - it was incredible. Gracias Olga - we hope to be back soon!!

Nice campground! Showers were okay and it was a little bit dirty but we’ve seen worse :)

Friendly staff and we had some deer at the van in the morning.

Street parking a few blocks from Fremont Street. It was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Metered parking 8am-6pm Mon-Fri ($1/hr) but free on the weekends. There was just enough shade from the buildings to buy us until after 9am when the heat made us wake up.

Entered here a Saturday morning at 9am because steer wheel was shaking and they took us immediately. We asked at least 4 other places on the road from Daytona before and nobody had room for us before weeks! Changed front roaders and pads and rear pads in 5 hours. Most time was waiting for the spare parts to come in. Great place. Fair price. I would definitely recommend again!

Drive past the Mavericks a bit and turn left into the lot. A few semi trucks and a few campers/vans overnight. Not too much highway noise. Good Verizon cell service.

we first came here Wednesday at 2pm but the guard told us it was not possible and we should first visit a bank to pay (?) and come back when they were open again. When we tried again Saturday at 9pm the workers just helped us (400 Cordoba for a 5 gallon bottle).

Close to the center, cheap and even has some simple facilities. The owner and night guard is a lovely guy, as well as the persons that are there during the day.

the toilet door was broken so there is a piece of metal you can put It front, no flush. Shower didn't work but you can take a bucket and fill it with water. We washed ourselves at night and use the water during the day too cool ourselves (Léon is HOT these months).

There are some Pros and Cons about this place.
The Pros:
- 20 $ for a big spot with firering, grill and bench
- reservations through recreation.gov
- dump station, but without potable water
- restrooms with hot showers, 50ct/5 mins
-trees for shade, nice lake
Cons:
- busy, loud place at least on weekends
- restrooms and showers run down, not all of them work
- you need a water thief and a long hose for potable water for your RV

"Where did you come from? Where are you going? Vacation?" Had me open the door to my pop up truck camper, he poked his head in, said "bonita" and then "ok, go". Too easy! 👍

Stunning vistas all around. Confirm the last quarter mile is steep and narrow. We are in a 23' Skoolie with a 4' motorcycle lift on the back. I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than this .

we showed up on a Saturday at noon (before the struuners post uploaded saying it was closed) no one around for hours. at around 430 a sour faced woman finally showed up and said no one can camp here anymore and we needed to leave immediately.
