motorbike mechanic, really nice guy, help us with little fixing on the bike. really cheap, he does also welding job. in the same Yard there is a tire fixing place, and a good skilled carpenter too.

Mr Berwari the owner is a fantastic guy. Speaks great English and is a wealth of knowledge about Kurdistan. Nice place with comfortable rooms close to restaurants etc. Best place in Duhok.

Seasonal wild camping spot just off the main trail. Not good in wet weather or snow. Looks like it would take on some water. Four wheel drive necessary, spotty cel service.

BLM wild camping. Cel service is good quiet and clean. No fires allowed. Open range cattle and burros. Large rocks on the road, four wheel drive needed.

Great place, not too noisy and stunning sunrise. Lots of space and easy access to water. Good service. Would stay here again

The roads into here were closed both ways on 4-5-2022 due to unsafe driving conditions.

Excellent - free dump, good price for propane, free potable water (at Seidel pump closest to store).

Camped overnight off the main rd. Tried to find the spring water pipe at this location and only found another campsite. Only natural water source was a small patch of snow in the trees.

Water faucets on both ends of the gas stations and at the tire air fill machine.

Nice place for one or two nights.
A few people during the day, mostly for a walk with their dogs in the forest.
Forest is nice and quite. Spend some hours in the nature.

Peaceful place to spend the night. Nice sunrise,sunset, and stargazing from the temples. We payed 150 p/p for camping and entrance to the ruins. Ruins worth a walk around, not much information but luckily there is a cool little museum in town with artifacts, history of the town, etc. This is run by the ejido, meaning the money you spend here goes directly to the Mayan community.

Closed. They no longer offer boondocking. No overnight parking.

Awesome place. When pulling into the main parking the 1st hot pool is directly in your left a couple of hundred feet away, which is the hottest.

lovely wholesome spot with no internet, across the road from beach access and an awesome beach. get here before 2pm and wait for first come first served and you might get lucky. we did

closed. Someone built a fence and placed boulders around the dirt road leading in, preventing access. The small pulloff after the fence looks to be on private property too.

Lots of parking spots with fire pits and trees for shade. Good hiking spot up the hill. Cell service.

Information from 2020 still accurate. Rooms from 5000 naira with fan and ac. Bucket shower. Huge fenced parking. Easy accessible for big rigs. No restaurant (open) when we were there. Recommended

We stayed the night no problem. A nice lady came to tell us to park on the car side for the night so big trucks can us the truck parking, thanks to Missisipi. Mexique tous Azimuts.

This is our second time around staying here. P220 pppn. Each campsite has its own ablution. Free Wi-Fi. Clean and safe.

Back again to a favorite nearby beach destination! Nice wide beaches and not many people. ..our sweet spot. Hard packed drivable sand for our Winnebago Travato van between access points 3 and 4. ALWAYS pointing towards and close to an access point. Verizon coverage is 4G with 2-3 bars.

I called and it was okay to stay overnight at the back of the parking. I had no problem but a bit noisy because of the highway but it didn’t bother me to sleep :) Close to Houston!
