This place is at the same time the Thermal waters of the village and the campground.
10 soles/person for entering the thermal water
And we paid 5 soles more (for 1 tent) to camp there.
Toilet, cold shower but hot baths 😊

Decent place. Full hookup is $44.50, electric only was under $30 but we upgraded because those stalls were super small and tight together (mostly made for truck campers with no slide outs I would say). Those were stalls 30-49. 50-57 offer more room, wider and deeper stalls. Don’t know about the rest. We have a short 5th wheel with no slide outs but would not have been able to properly put up our awning.
Noise from highway is really ok, the music from some psychedelic dude in his tent just across was louder.
Easy drive into town and right by the turnoff to Bonanza Creek if you want to explore that a bit more. Office has small selection of munchies and drinks.

Beautiful park with free bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, electricity outlets, dish-washing station, and beautiful views. The bathrooms and showers were clean, however, the showers cannot be described as hot. The women's shower was mostly cold, with spurts of warm every now and then, and the men's alternated between cold and hot. Was still refreshing (and free)!

Great independent tour guide Frank organizes all sorts of Amazon jungle tours ( wild camping, lodge, full day tour, …) and accompanies you as a guide.
We highly recommend him! We did a 3 nights / 4 days camping trip (no lodge) deep in the jungle with him and had a fantastic time. He is very knowledgeable, caring and puts a lot of effort to make sure you have a good time. Also he speaks excellent English and is very approachable.
PLEASE try to avoid booking though agencies because they keep 90% of the money and guides are not well paid. By contacting Frank directly you will spend less and the money goes to the right persons instead of agency rip-offs.
You can contact him in advance on WhatsApp under +51921651040 - in case he does not answer directly he might be on a tour without reception. he will get back to you.

Nice clean warm showers on donation.
Not a lot of pressure is the only downside I can find.

This campground has a really nice and accommodating staff, they allow people to use the showers on Donation (that goes towards NGO) until 4pm.

We did NOT stay in the campground after they showed us around coz thought it wasn’t worth to pay for us, and after that we still used the showers on donation and they told us that, if we didn’t find a spot, we could come after closure, park, and figure it out in the morning.

Great attitude and vibes!

really lovely secluded campsite on state park land surrounded by fields and almost completely forested properties. The site closest to the road had a firepit and clear flat areas to pitch a tent. the surrounding area was filled with berry bushes and wild flowers! Only one car drove by between the afternoon to the next morning. there is a small shady hiking trail if you follow the treadmarks into the forest at the end of the meadow!

we approached from the north end of burnt Hill road (on a subaru outback) and found the road super rocky and had to drive very slowly. I would recommend approaching from the south end of burnt hill road instead as it is gravelled and more maintained.

Highly recommend! Very clean and well-maintained with friendly, helpful attendants on duty. Clean restroom for customers and utility sink for quick rinses. Reasonable rates. Takes coins or card. Dryers dry super fast.

As described. Flat open right beside the river. there are a couple "long term residents" at this time but still room for a sweet spot for our Vanagon.

Right on the road near teailhead.
Look..I hit this spot because other areas with Glacier view were clouded in with no cell service. I have 4g Verizon here. Other than that, it has road noise and right beside a trailhead which I may hike.

On the third floor of the bishkek park (mall) there is a big outdoor / sport shop with the best sortiment we have seen so far (and we searched in a lot of different outdoor shops). You get everything for camping and outdoor stuff and clothes. The prices are more european like.

Protocol as told to me by ranger/camp host:

- Drive up to campground entrance, fill out a self-pay slip and include $4 payment for shower
- You can then drive up to bathrooms (which you’ll see from the campground entrance, straight ahead toward back of campground) and park there
- He told me I had 10-20 minutes to shower, then would have to leave. But he wasn’t rude about it, seemed pretty chill

*shower hours: 7am–9pm
*no coins for shower (as noted by others). You just put payment in the slip at the campground entrance. The shower will go indefinitely

Possible to camp here, or rent large tents (paid accommodation).
Lots of Moroccans during holidays. I believe there's a Moroccan here toilet. . Beach good for swimming, but the entire area was totally littered in trash, bottles and toilet paper. Very very dirty and unclean, so I moved on, but locals don't seem to mind.

Wonderful little creek side camping area! About 3 miles behind the visitor center, on a decent road, saw very little traffic during our stay. Shaded and we were able to tuck our 20 foot van in the trees passed the fire pit.

small parking lot with garbage can and pit toilet. 1 min walk to wildlife viewing platform. Another trail that goes through the woods for about 15 mins. A few ppl come to walk their dogs. Other than that pretty quiet. Better cell and data service than down by the cemetary.

Upon arrival at the NP gate, there was nobody in sight. We waited a few minutes and were passed by several cars and trucks which entered without stopping. So we followed and drove to Playa Roja. Nobody there either, Ranger station and facilities closed. We spent a quiet night and left the next day without any problems. Seems in winter everything is deserted and free.

23ft RV. Backed in so overhang was right up to fence. Arrived 7:30pm was empty, few scowls and suspicious inspections from the locals so went on an evening stroll down to the town and had a drink. Fair number of other campers scattered around on way down. Arrived back about 12am, no knocks, no issues. Car park started to fill about 8-9ish. Left it there all day while went to Monterey bay aquarium and then scooted in the evening. Good spot, nice deer

Very nice campsite and ablutions. We squeezed our 11T teuck in no problem. We saw porcupine and cheetah in camp. I left a pair of Crocs out overnight and they were in bits by morning (hyena). We took an afternoon game drive with the lodge in the late afternoon to the NP which was excellent. Camping 190 pppn.
