Nice Area close to the road heading to Croatia, but out of sight. It is good reachable for motorbikes or bicycles. we spend on night there with a tent and two motorcycles. Maybe some people with their dog will come by, but they didn't say anything to us.

Many spots along the road about a dozen, some with fire pits and some without. There’s some under shade and some in a field. Was pretty quiet during the night but in the morning it got busier. Local trails around.

Very nice place! camping spot is only $120mxn per person. swimming pools have warm hot spring water, in the store they only sell tequila, beer, potato chips, sodas, cup noodles and other basic stuff so take your own food, they have grills were you can cook your meat.

Keep going after this tiny pull off and take the next right to the trail parking. There is a bathroom and tons of parking. Worked great.

road is rough but made it in a Winnebago travato promaster front wheel drive with no lift. Amazing views can even see The Badlands through binoculars.

the view up here is pretty good, but wow... this road is scary. 4x4 or high clearance not required, but it's a long steep single lane road with not many pull outs and massive exposure to a 800m cliff. worse than trampoline del Diablo in Colombia as this has wash outs and undercut embankment. we came on a Sunday and it was very busy! a stubborn taxi driver with passengers clipped our rear bumper as he passed and didn't even stop.

The spot is right next to the river (access for cyclists only I think)
Coming from Llipa, 200m before the bridge a rocky road goes to the right, take it until the end, cross the rocks and sandy area and you'll get to an earth flat area. This is were you wanna camp tonight!

In former years we loved this farm. But we were very disappointed, while staying here again this year. It has been run down, bar and restaurant were closed, the pool did not exist any more and there were 2 annoying Nandus/Emus at the campsites.

Stayed here several nights. Great place to hang out and they have an off leash dog area to swim.

Still not recovered from COVID closing, parts of the campsite work, others are destroyed or not functional. It just needs a little love but it seems this would require new management. Not advisable to go here is current state.

This is a great spot to spend the night but only suitable for smaller rigs like a van as the road in is a bit rough.
There’s room for 4-5 vans and we made it here in our Ford Transit no problem.
The falls are just a very short walk from the trailhead.
No cell signal and no trash cans so please pack out what you pack in.
If you don’t spend the night it’s also a great spot for lunch or a swim in the pools below the falls.

A fun and lively place with loads of food options and good coffee. Judging by how many people were here on a Sunday I’d say it’s a popular hang out for the locals.

Small place easy to reach next to river and an old bridge. A bit if noise from the water pump near.

Petit emplacement facile d'accès proche de la rivière et d'un vieux pont. Un peu de bruit provenant de la pompe à eau pas loin.

Good place to relax after exhausting days in the mountains. Owner is very nice and speaks good English. Rooms with private or shared bathroom available. Secure parking. Good dinner and breakfast. A short walk to the beach. The rates are negotiable. Should be about 10usd ppn. Can't remember the exact cost of the food, but it was reasonable.

This was the worst campsite I've visited at this price point.

Parking our relatively short 16ft trailer was difficult in the cramped spots. I had to come in the exit road in order to get the angle required to park. The group that arrived after us had similar issues.

Our site had dog poop left in the turf.

The spa was out of order.

The oak trees were covered in "oak worm" caterpillars. They were descending from the trees continuously through our 4 day stay in August. Our "luxury" patio area was covered with them, and they crawled up wheels, cables, chairs, awnings, chocks, everything. We cleaned off the picnic table and within 5 minutes it was unusable. We were stepping on them and getting them under our feet in our sandals. We understand that nature must take it's course, but when customers are paying $120+/night, they should shut down the plagued sites while it does or at least warn campers before they book.

Spent the past 3 days here. Nice and quiet. Lots of wasps though. Not aggressive but a constant presence. Really nice view of the stars.

I did not stay the night here but sends like you could- there were no signs saying no overnight parking l- just a sign saying that unattended vehicles would be towed after 30 minutes. Nice quiet wooded, no facilities.

Handful of other vans and RVs here the night we stayed. Pretty well lit and a bit noisy but fine for a night. There was a park a few minutes drive where we used the washroom.

If you use iOverlander, chances are this is usually not your type of camping :) (quite packed with caravans). Having said that, this is a pleasant place to get some rest after a long day of driving, without having to look for a suitable place to wild camp in this busy region. Clean pool and bathrooms, small shop and friendly owners.

Great place to stay in Jalpan, we tried the lake site but it was hard to find a level spot, and it was super noisy on a Saturday. Called Daniel and he promptly opened his space to us. Clean and comfortable space, no other dogs around which was a relief, there's a gate so we felt very safe and clean bathrooms. There's a cooking/eating area as well and the best WiFi we've had so far. Daniel is a fellow traveller so we had good conversation with him. Highly recommended.
