The road to this place, when you leave Tioga Road, is closed right now. So its not really easy to get here from Yosemite. Dont know why or for how long.

Pretty place and lots of spaces, but we did have to drive a lot further then this third spot. Very crowded. At some point we gave it up and parked at the side of the road, which was also fine.

Nestled in the cottonwood groves in a canyon w a creek running by. Fire pit already established. Parking is next to BIG red rocks for a pretty photo op, and exploration! Got there fine with a 2006 sprinter. Little bumpy but doable. Saw some people enjoying their dirt bikes here, but otherwise quiet and mellow. Probably more spots further, but didn’t go looking. AT&T-2 bars LTE

Pretty bump 3 mile drive to this spot. It's beautiful and quiet but watch out for the broken glass everywhere. There are also cows and bulls with calves at this location so look out for them. Beautiful spot overall. Follow me @IsetsAdventurousLife on IG.

As described. There's a music venue at the marina, but it was tame and winding down at 20:00 when I arrived. I parked my Wrangler at the park without issues. Clean bathrooms too.

Nice view, that’s all. Very uneven and the road is a nightmare. Many ATV‘s with Speed to the hills.

This is a nice park in a beautiful town however we received a warning on our window from the police for parking overnight so we moved the next day to the quiet spot by the river. The free wifi in the park works well! Just need to log in every 30 minutes or so.

Was very busy, but with 3 parking lots, it means lots of space for everyone. Despite being so busy, it wasn’t very noisy, and the bathrooms were clean. Was able to get a good nights sleep just fine.

Gorgeous hidden spot right off the road. My vehicle is low clearance so I couldn’t go further up the road but high clearance vehicles can go further in where it’s even more secluded. Some road noise but not busy. Went on a nice walk along the dry creek bed and it was beautiful.

Nice safe spot, unbothered through the night. It was nice having a sign specifying overnight parking, so i knew I wouldn’t have a problem. Wifi from library kinda sucks but overall a good spot! There is only one row if overnight parking.

Spacious and calm place near by a little river even if there is some garbage, accessible easily with our big van, no traffic here

Football match nearby, the place itself quite isolated, but a lot of cars along the street and nearby meadows.
Not convinced...

Beautiful campsite! Nice owners, there are small cabins you can use for shelter and cooking. The cooking plate of her wasn’t working atm so bring your own stove. Showers are hot. The water from the tap was not very clear so would recommend a water filter for drinking.

Now is closed by a fence, but you can open it. Nice spot for one night, with beautiful view of Percy River and Mountains. Follow the first overlander instructions 👌🏽

Gorgeous rest stop. Much more removed from the highway than the southbound one. Clean bathrooms and a water spigot. A few other people sleeping in their cars. No one really seemed to mind the 8 hour limit including the maintenance guy who arrived in the morning.

This is a beach parking lot for Town Neck Beach, but if you put the gps coordinates into Google Maps it might try to take you elsewhere. It’s the parking lot at the end of Wood Ave in Sandwich.

I just had a great night of sleep here. Some local kids must have been at the beach until late and came in with loud music, but after about midnight it quieted down. During the off season this lot is free during the day as well, if you just need a quiet place to hang out!

As in last year’s pre-season, this seems to be the only national park camp ground that is not chained off. Nice and peaceful, toilets open and running water.

It seemed to be closed. Could just be because it’s a Sunday, but looked pretty shut down so suspect it’s permanent

This place is OK - but it’s really just a large car park behind a motel. Does the job if you just need a quiet place in the town near restaurants. Lots of irritating little flies. We were charged US$20 for 2 adults, 2 kids and our SUV with roof tent.
