Still possible and allowed to fill water here. Asked an employee for permission and no problem to fill our 2x 20L jerrycans. They also have hot water (for the famous mate) so you can also fill your thermos bottle!

“Criminal investigations” unit check point in front of the Pemex gas station. Pulled us over for further inspection in our camper van. Asked where we were coming from and going to and where we are from. Searched around the cabinets and under the bed a bit for drugs, weapons, and large sums of cash. Then sent us on our way. Very nice, cheerful, and professional.

Thanks for visiting us! We now have fresh well water trucked in every week, better WIFI throughout the park, our Bar and Lulu's Restaurant open 6 days; closed Monday. Our RV section has 30 amp service on all full hookup sites. Dry camping on the bay is $325 pesos. Full hookups $540 pesos, we offer discounts on week or month long stays. Our hotel has 40 beds (new), and we have 2 sky houses for rent.

Clean restaurant with friendly service and very tasty and fresh fish and seafood. Not expensive.

Passing through and stayed for the night. I did ask permission and was directed to parking area. It was noisy til 11pm and then quieted directed the rest of the night. there are lots of places to eat nearby. Bathrooms are available during store hours.

Local Colombian food and delicious. Trucha is the thing to eat in Salento but the chicken is also yummy. You get a soup, lemonade and huge portion of food for just 15000 pesos. And it’s faster service than McDonald’s. We were fully satisfied. Definitely recommend!

Super nice café, real roasted coffee and homemade sweets. WiFi available. Parking is tough... but that's anywhere close to the centre.

We asked to camp at the hostel and they let us park right outside on the sand road and we got to use their amenities for 35Q pP. The bathrooms and showers were clean, there is a pool, a bar and restaurant. Friendly staff and tasty and affordable dinner and breakfast. The pool was a bit of a party during the day with drunk guests and loud music. The night we were there was also „DJ night“, which meant loud music until midnight. Most nights the bar closes at 10 though. If it’s loud, I recommend you join the party, because we weren’t able to sleep. All cost are put on a tab and make sure it’s current when you check out.

Coming from south it is the first big supermarket in Chile. By far not a real hipermercado in US dimensions, but good to supply up. Great selection and quality of fruits and vegetables. Prices are high as everywhere in Chile.

Fine pescaderia, in front of the hipermercado. They have much more quality fish at fair prices (only frozen, however). Wild salmon e.g. was 12.500 Pesos per kilo. Please support the small shops ❤️

Best spaghetti I had in Ghana. Especially if you want some vegetarian food. Ask for the vegetarian one with mushroom. Good sized portion!

Just turned up here & told it’s closed til March 30th due to private event… don’t make the same mistake we did!

After we got kicked out of Chincoteague island they told us to head here, which is a small gas station / truck stop combo. It was quiet save for some usual road noise and we slept on the south side, where larger parking was available.

We did a 1 day Tour and it was great! 250 Bs pp. Nice and careful driver (just spanish) in a comfortable Land Cruiser with 5 people in board. Everything well organized and enough time at the spots. Food was okay. The Driver made really nice pictures and videos from us. They also had a safe spot for our Truck for 2 nights. Only negative point: we had to pay the full price for our 1,5 year old daughter with the argument that she is taking a full seat in a saftey seat, but there was no saftey seat in the car. 😔
But all the rest is totally recommended!

Nice Guys doing a very good Job. 2 people cleaned our Truck in 30 min for 80 Bs without salt protection. Recommended!

Paid 42 Bs for our 8 ton truck, also quiet expensive

Um lugar tranquilo e isolado para ficar montar sua barraca totalmente gratis, sem nenhum recurso. Totalmente isolado com árvores para ter uma boa sombra. Foi a melhor noite que passei. Existe um casa em ruínas e da paraver vestígios de outros viajantes também dormiram ali. Um lugar perfeito.

A quiet and secluded place to stay, set up your tent completely free, without any resources. Totally secluded with trees for good shade. It was the best night I've ever had. There is a house in ruins and you can see traces of other travelers who also slept there. A perfect place.

Great place. Many dispersed campers in the area - none close by. If this location is occupied, just continue along the road. You'll likely find another great place.

Note that this place is off Bates Well Rd, not Scenic Loop.

Nice place under the palm trees. Super quiet. We went for a bath, the current are indeed strong.

Bumpy dirt road to here, no problem. Van camping at side of this main dirt road. Other roads more secluded but too soft for my rig.

Great place to stay, nice people running the campsite and other campers.
This place does get really busy so if you want a first come first serve site I recommend arriving early in the morning to put your name down as soon as the office opens. Check out time is 11am so you may be waiting in the office for an hour or two to see if you get a spot. Also the first come first serve spots are $20 for vans (they don't allow vans in tent spots though I did see a truck bed mounted pop up tent in a tent spot).

Parker near the garden center. Not a good idea. Lots of trucks unloading in the night and also some sketchy people live there in trailers and let their pitbulls run free on the parking lot without leach. Better go to the other side near the Harley Davidson sign

very large Ikea car park. well suited to the large RV. slight slope. we asked at reception if we could stay overnight. No problem. thinking about going to Ikea for hot dogs ($1.25) and ice cream. there are public toilets at the entrance of the store. you can hear the cars on the highway a bit

Great location close to Wickenburg. Roads are a little rough due to storms. Lots of parking locations with wonderful views. There is a bit of road noise that dies down overnight. We were able to get a 24ft rig in no problem, just drive slow.
