Right in front of (former) tourist office.

you're not supposed to stay here more than 15' (there's a sign) but nobody minded. in the night we were the only ones, all the other cars left.

btw, tourist office has moved to municipality on O'Higgins street.

This was a real doozy. When pulling up, on the left there is an overflow lot, for rvs and campers. This lot is filled with ruts, massive potholes, and so much trash. There were chains and metal tubing laid around the dirt lot. We had to have one of us walk in front of the vehicle as we were parking to make sure we didn’t pop a tire on anything.

It smelled of urine so bad I thought I was going to be sick. We had to move away from the grassy area a bit because of the smell.

This place completely filled up at night with truckers. The entire parking lot was full.

We never heard the train. Only stay if you have to.

Needs to be removed. I stayed here along with 3-4 other vans. We all got the boot around 1am. Walmart doesn’t own this parking lot and there are a handful of not obvious signs stating no overnight parking.

we had a great time camping and volcano boarding here. The toilets are ok although had a few toads jumping around at night. There is a big covered area if you want to sit and cook. Camping next to the volcano can get super windy so we opted to camp by the visitor centre.

We went to the ruins but had to pay 58 ppp entrance for the protected area another 90 ppp entrance and 150 for our van. If you go go as early as possible because around 9am all the tourist buses arrive. Beautiful ruins though!

delicious local food made by locals and using vegetables and fruits from their own farms ! Al numeria association is a environmental project to help and empower local community. Beside the restaurant they also run a school where they teach sustainable agriculture to local children, and a bike renting you can rent an discover the area with a trail around the farms. If you have to do one restaurant in Jordan, come here ! the food is delicious, many vegetarians options, a very nice terrace with view on the fields and you will help a beautiful project !

Grassy. spacious sites with very clean and neat ablutions. Electricity and water on every stand. We stayed on site TN1 and TN2 which are two adjacent stands without border, ideal for a larger group. We paid R680 for the night for 8 pensioners. Real value for money.

Great stop coming from Lusaka. Camped (50K pp) in the garden which was beautiful and peaceful.

Had fresh eggs and guavas picked straight from the tree. Alice and her husband are very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice place to stay with a beautiful view on the lake. We paid 5,500 for a van for the night (from 7:30pm to 9:00am) and 1,500 for each additional hour. The gate is closed from 9:00pm to 8:00am and the owner gave us a key to come and go.
Highly recommend

Get your certificate of no fine here in Cairo.

Process is quite easy:
1. Show your Egyptian car registration
2. They create a form
3. Pay 505EGP at the payment counter, get an invoice
4. They copy the form and the invoice
5. They stamp your form and you are good to go

5 min of work, but that was because we had a helpful Egyptian, mr. Mohammed who helped us in every step.

Spend 4 nights here because we needed to make pictures of the van. The owner is super friendly! Toilets are old but clean clean. Shower is hot (electrical shower). 3000 for 2 and a van. Super friendly dogs at the camping.

Came here in the afternoon. I think i spoke to the son of the camping and he told me to just park and the owners will come later for the payment. He connected the water for the showers and toilets. The bathrooms were clean, even with some toiletpaper. But nobody ever came for our payment. In the morning I checked if somebody was home, but nobody was. So free night

Perfect spot for cyclists between Calafate (ca 35 km) and the parc entrance (ca 15 km) for an quick overnighter. Calm at night, wind protection, great view, just next to the road.

Not a good place to spend the day though imo.

Wanted to get all the dust and salt off our truck camper before heading into the US. had difficulties finding a car wash that allowed taller cars.

This one fits cars up to 3m//9.5ft height.

They did a great job. Pre-washed everything, soaped it down, scrubbed it and then washed everything off. Clean as a whistle.

Price for our truck camper was MXN 250.

Great spot to spend the night before going to Uvita. Nice sunset from above. The road to go here is fairly easy but steep. It was dry when we went so might be more difficult in rainy season

Still free, camping and park. Only two sites really well suitable for RVs. Sanitary in excellent conditions. The ladies from the restaurant/shop look after it. When restaurant open the bathrooms are locked, key at the restaurant. At night open,. shower 8PM to 8AM. Dishwashing facilities with hot water.

As described - except now there is a sign saying that the dump station is only for use by campers staying at the nearby campsite.

No one there to make sure the rules are being followed, but I suppose they do random checks.

Stayed one night on my way out of Tuscan. I gave my name and license plate info to security and they said I could stay. No one else in the lot, very quiet, nice views.

Unfortunately camping is not allowed anymore.
We stayed 3 nights, on the last night we slept next to other campers
driving a red Volkswagen T2 with Swiss license plate, which dumped a mattress there. Next day the security came to us that because of this, they don’t allow overnight stay anymore. It’s actually private property.

For what it’s worth, we had amazing views and convenience of toilets nearby. Although the first night we parked near the edge which got a bit scary with the extreme winds at night, so later we parked next to the building. In weekend it was a bit noisy with people parking nearby playing loud music at 3-4AM.
Still grateful we could enjoy this place and probably be the last ones.

Don’t leave trash behind and ruin places like this for others!
