Big Parking Lot by a Boat Ramp, no „no overnight „ sign, nice view to the Lake and there is also a Boardwalk along the Lake, just go around the RV Park, dumpster around the parking lot.

I felt safe when I arrived late evening and saw local kids playing soccer on the street, talked with their parents owning the houses and they welcome me to stay as long as I wanted

we had a flat tire a few km south of San Jose, changed the tire ourselves but needed the damaged one fixed. These guys were open on a holiday evening, they dropped everything to help us out, very nice and friendly. The tire itself was ok, only the inner tube had a hole, we had a spare. Repair done in 10 minutes, then they even helped us to put the tire back in its place under the car which is a bit tricky. Very very fair price, we gave them twice the amount they asked. Highly recommended!

Knights of Columba’s beach and park. There are no signs saying no camping, and I asked a local who told me “oh yeah people camp here in the summer…”, So I’m here for the night, with k my y dog.

One of the best border crossings we've done in South America. Everything in one modern building, the two countries' migration and aduanas for passport stamps and vehicle permits. The nicest people and no queue at all!

As of today the park has installed a starlink system and has wifi.

Free potable water, dumping is USD 10. No fee for day use of park.

Outdoor Showers and changing rooms are being build at the moment and are looking good.

We think the road was okay, no big holes or big stones, only a lot of washboarding (10 km or so). No problems with our motorhome. It’s just not very comfortable and very noisy with a motorhome…but lagunas are so beautiful

They told us the machine had just been there.

Good flow haven’t tried the water yet but the other maverick in the areas water was fine.

quiet + clean (help keep it that way)! right past the town of Escalante, sand road with handful of pull offs for vehicles.

We got a spot right outside the day use area with fire rings which could accommodate a few big rigs. There’s a pit toilet in the day use area. There’s little traffic noise from the main road. There were a few groups of ATV riders and a few 4x4 cars driving by. It is right by the old Dewey Bridge. It has a good view of surrounding hills and is close to Colorado River. There are cows near by.

it's now just over $16 for an adult entry to the pools. comes with a locker token and access to the showers.

there's better options for showers and the pool is pretty meh as hotsprings go.

New and sunny BC campground managed by staff of Menning Park Resort. Open all year, close to Lightning Lake. Spacious full hook-ups sites, 53$/night for 2 in motorhome. Wifi 5$/24 hours. Picknick table, fire pit, playground for kids, hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, swimming. Very quiet at night.

Coco laundry is perfect, the guys is very helpful and the laundry is very clean.
We recommanded 😀

Nice campground right on the lake. Very peaceful. There are 2 firepits, you can use the plancha to cook. Cold water shower and toilets.
30000 COP per person per night.
Not suitable for big rv as the road to go there is small and very steep. Also the gate is not more than 2m10 wide

Flying J, we parked by the grass on the south side of the lot (Denny's)
Lots of space, including some RV-specific spots along the edge of the lot. Not so loud, seems like a solid spot. Fyi, diesel is much cheaper one exit to the west, at least today

We attached here pictures saying the services they provide! We did the change of oil and filters of our Sprinter and they also checked out brakes! Affordable prices! High Roof!

Got woken up at 4am by the security guard who let us know we can’t park there. We told him the plan was to go to the gym at 6am and then we’d be leaving and he let us stay…but wouldn’t do it again.

spots all over this area. And a vault toilet nearby. Not sure of the cleanliness of it.

Great spot, clean toilets and the shower is an added bonus, all for FREE.

please remove this place, we have been there and there is a sign that says it is not allowed to sleep here. No Overnight

Coming down 637 from the North, the way is well maintained from paved to gravel. Lots of nice spots along this road. This site is clearly a local camp/swim spot. Just a little pull off on the side of the road. Hardly any cars on a weeknight. Quite tranquil in May. Flowers, birds, and sun. Great spot for swimming and sunning on the rocks.

You could probably fit a big rig if you can make the wind-y gravel road.
