Still $12 to dump. Water available as well. The guy said it was drinkable, but he wouldn't drink it. We filled our tanks with it, it looked clean and legit. Propane available as well at $3.29/gal.

Everything is still the same as described in 2022-01. Great place to stop before or after crossing the border

Don’t go here. The old mechanic man wanted $6000 peso for my 5kg bottle. I was shocked. I never saw the other guy as I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at about 4. I knew he was trying to rip me off. I left giving him $5000 feeling very ripped off.

Big open camping area just off Ivory Mill Rd. Great views. The road up here isn’t for the faint of heart and definitely not for big rigs. I made it up here fine in a factory 2wd econoline van though. The road starts to get more technical after this point, I wouldn’t recommend it in a van after this turnout. 1-2 bars Verizon LTE.

To overpriced for what we need: 10 $ for shower pP and 15 $ for dump. We leaved.

Water is here as described. I will be sure to update this if I find the water is not potable.

Beautiful termas with five indoor pools and two outdoor pools (different temperatures). Also easy entry to the river to cool down and see the local Kingfisher catch fish. We were alone for the whole day until at five or so six locals came in as well (low season). Entry now is 30.000pesos per person. You enter by the road en have to walk down some stairs to the facilities, which are down by the river. Definitely worth a visit!

As described, beautiful spot right on the lakeshore, friendly fishermen who leave in the afternoon.

Big Parking Lot by a Boat Ramp, no „no overnight „ sign, nice view to the Lake and there is also a Boardwalk along the Lake, just go around the RV Park, dumpster around the parking lot.

I felt safe when I arrived late evening and saw local kids playing soccer on the street, talked with their parents owning the houses and they welcome me to stay as long as I wanted

we had a flat tire a few km south of San Jose, changed the tire ourselves but needed the damaged one fixed. These guys were open on a holiday evening, they dropped everything to help us out, very nice and friendly. The tire itself was ok, only the inner tube had a hole, we had a spare. Repair done in 10 minutes, then they even helped us to put the tire back in its place under the car which is a bit tricky. Very very fair price, we gave them twice the amount they asked. Highly recommended!

Knights of Columba’s beach and park. There are no signs saying no camping, and I asked a local who told me “oh yeah people camp here in the summer…”, So I’m here for the night, with k my y dog.

One of the best border crossings we've done in South America. Everything in one modern building, the two countries' migration and aduanas for passport stamps and vehicle permits. The nicest people and no queue at all!

As of today the park has installed a starlink system and has wifi.

Free potable water, dumping is USD 10. No fee for day use of park.

Outdoor Showers and changing rooms are being build at the moment and are looking good.

We think the road was okay, no big holes or big stones, only a lot of washboarding (10 km or so). No problems with our motorhome. It’s just not very comfortable and very noisy with a motorhome…but lagunas are so beautiful
