Snow blocking the path down with a large pile right at the road from snow plows. Too early in the year for access.

Stopped today, $3.75. Will avoid going at 1:30pm on a Saturday as there were lots of kids having fun.

Amazing staff! Overly exceptional.
Super clean and new machines. I was in desperate need of a favor and they came to my rescue and were so happy to assist a traveler. Even offered money for said favor and she refused. Great people all around – highly recommend.

Got into contact with them via campsite La Burbuja. They helped a lot and are very knowledgeable. They replaced my turbo and did full service. Also helped me around town to get new tires. Prices are reasonable, but I suggest to contact them via Raul from La Burbuja. I have a European diesel van (Fiat Ducato). See photo for reference

What an amazing place. One of the best overlanding campsites we have found so far (and we are not climbers). Mainly because of the helpful and friendly family who runs it. We stayed 9 or 10 days (also because our car needed to get fixed which they arranged)

Pros: close to highway, beautiful wooded area with lake, other campers, no broken glass, nice gravel road in, Free!
Cons: highway noise, little bit of trash, could be bad if there were mosquitoes

Yes, I agree, it's flatter than the other one. We did it today, and the conditions of the road are far more better! It seems as if the machines were working just the day before and that we were the first in passing next. Although the distance from Antofagasta de la Sierra to Antofalla is 32 km more using this road, but it's worth it.

I wanted to use the gym and then having a shower, showers are for members only, even you pay for a day pass, you are not authorized to take a shower. Weird rule!!

great little spot. if you look on satellite view you can see there are three little prongs reaching out to the river.

arrived around 5pm and could see people at the closest (southernmost) spot. turned north for about 45 seconds drive to the second spot and backed my truck camper down. pretty straight shot, you could back a trailer in pretty easily. no room to turn around so you're either backing in or out.

got a bit buggy as the sub went down but nothing serious. this prong had a fire ring.

Great place, lovely people. It’s next to s golf course, but still there’s enough privacy and quietness. I think $7 for a night with no-hookup is a bit on the low site, but they let me stay for that price anyway cause I’m Dutch 😎

Hacienda NĂĄpoles (Spanish for "Naples Estate") was an estate built and owned by Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in Puerto Triunfo.

Today, it's an amusement park and zoo, as well as a museum. Visit: https://haciendanapoles.com

Stopped here for the night to break up the drive to Cocuy National Park. Awesome views with open, level parking. Visible from the road but there was no traffic after sunset until about 5:30am. A good amount of used toilet paper and poop laying around near the brick shack, so keep an eye on your dog (if you have one). Super friendly locals that came by to take a picture of sunset and work on the religious shrine.

Oh - and properly chilly for a wonderful night’s sleep!

Spent one week here and it was perfect ! We saw sloths 3 times during our stay here. Marco is very nice and can give you tips on what to do and see around. He is also very handy and can help you fix stuff on your van (he was a welder before opening the campground and has it’s machine to repair stuff)

The location is great with everything walking distance from the campground.

You can also use Uber or a service call “EasyHop” that cost only 3$ to lift you to mostly every popular attractions in La Fortuna

Starlink and solar will be an issue here because of the trees but the internet was fast enough to work and do zoom calls for the entire stay. Electricity available also for charging your batteries!

this location is outdated. the vehicle ferry leaves half an hour outside the city towards the west. I'm not sure where the Pelni passenger ferry leaves, but it might be on the other side of the peninsula.

Nice spot, road was not too busy, parking was plenty on a Friday night. Stayed one night. Signs say no parking 8am - 3pm Monday through Friday likely because there’s a school next door.

Threaded hose fill at edge of entry parking lot on bottom of drinking station. Not a super pressured fill, so could take awhile. Noticed and turned on water to check but didn’t need water at the time.

Great little park to stretch legs and have lunch. 3.5mile loop suitable for hiking or trail running and a scenic look out. Built during the new deal. Free entry!

We arrived around 18:00 on a Saturday, it was really crowded and there was very loud music. A lot of people seemed drunk. We didn’t stay.
