I stayed the night here, but the tubs had been removed. I don't know if this is a temporary or a permanent thing. Still made for a beautiful camping spot. Some high school kids came by with rifles to shoot bullfrogs, which made the evening a little more interesting. They offered me Coors Light and frog legs. The locals are very generous

Place is a little dirtier than I would like. Still, being able to use the toilet is a plus. The target concession stand allows you to fill up your water and at least it seems to be filtered.

Stayed here last night. Quiet, nice view if you back in. There is some trash on ground. We picked some up and hope next people will too. It’s literally 1 minute from hwy

We were kicked out by security patrol. They said it’s not okay to park anywhere in the Walmart/shopping complex parking lot (even though we called Walmart ahead of time) and put a sticker on our window saying the same thing. There were some vans and a semi parked in the lot as well. It’s probably best to find a different spot to sleep :)

9 RV/bus spots. Pretty short. My 24’ Class C and toad stuck out. So I parked along the back area. No one here all night!
First thing in the morning, I go to leave and one passenger vehicle parked 10’ in front of me. With all the open spaces around! Lucky I managed to get out.
Good food.

Street parking on quiet street. Building on one side, vacant block on the other. It is a cul de sac so not many cars. Joggers in the morning. We stayed one night, no one came to disturb.

Cool place. Entrance at the refugee building (still used) or at the other end opposite the war memorial (with water tap). Some highway noise and in summer a bit warm (no shade).

Great place. Beautiful organic farm/orchard. A lot to discover. Both access roads are open, the north side is more adventurous and requires 4x4 on a rainy day. South access is easy peasy for any vehicle. To make the turn from the road 8m length is indeed the max. If you’re over 3.5m high they need to push the cable up at the house, no problems there.

Not too bad, although the road is not very far and there are houses around. Few vehicles and motorcycles pass on the track, but it remains quiet. No Claro signal. FYI, we continued the track to try to find a more isolated place, but we didn't find anything nice, so we came back to sleep here.

Stayed 1 night. Flat spots on a hardened road. A short road leading to a big fence with ‘restricted’ signs around the antenna area. Visible from the road, but not noticeable in the dark. We parked near the fence. Didn’t feel 100% like a good spot but there were little alternatives. Given wet season and constant rain, it was very muddy so happy with the solid ground. Saw a guy that seemed to live in the house. No signal.

This place can't be reached anymore due to an enormous guard rail that had been placed along the road. Other side of the road doesn't have a guard rail so you could camp on that side.

Don't know where the previous overlander was looking at but there is a super clear track 100-150 meters east of this spot. Didn't spend the night here but this is one of the few places where you can leave the road towards the north as they built an enormous guard rail along the road. Leaving the road towards can be done almost anywhere.

Parfaitement localisé ! A 300 mètres de l’entrée de la cueva.
Il y a de la place pour 2 véhicules en enfilade. À plat. En pleine nature avec une superbe vue. Très calme !
Le top pour aller visiter la cueva !

Good news… no signs prohibiting an overnight stay. Small-ish parking lot. Definitely no room for semi-trucks. An a-class might be okay. A big tri-axle 5th wheel would likely have a problem using this spot. Especially if the parking lot was busy. Great view of lake mead. Note: loads of graffiti on the cement. Donuts & burnout marks in the parking lot…. So I can’t say that this spot won’t be visited throughout the night. On other guy here in an A class, so I think we’ll be okay here for the night.

Very sweet and kind owners. It is a beautiful place to spend a quiet night with an amazing view. Especially on the weekend, when it’s noisy in the town center. Showers were nice and hot, also has a cool common area with a fireplace and we could fill up our water tank. Unfortunately there is no wifi. Still $5 pppn.

Seems like a nice place. But it is not big rig friendly, we unfortunately damaged our roof when entering (3.5 meter tall truck camper). As there are many low hanging tree branches. We also couldn’t fit at the camp space next to the house because of the low hanging cables. So we received a very uneven spot. It was so uneven that our fridge stopped working and we had to leave. We asked for another spot, but it looks like they do not offer the big rig friendly spot (as someone below mentioned) anymore.

Here is the entry to the Chimborazo park, it is free, you just need to register (last entry at 2pm). From there we drove 20 minutes further up to refugio carrel. The road is in a very good condition, any vehicle can make it. We parked the car at refugio carrel and walked 40 minutes up to the second refugio, refugio whymper. It is located on 5000 meters above sea level and the views are amazing. If you would like to camp on the parking lot of refugio carrel, you need to let the rangers at the park entrance know.

On Saturday they close now at 1:30pm. We got there at 2pm and no one would fill up our propane tank anymore.
We came back on a Wednesday afternoon before 4pm and they filled up our U.S. 15lbs propane tank, it only cost $4!

Nice big flat car park, tends to get busy at the weekend as there are some great hiking trails. Stayed 2 nights with no problems.
