Great spot to spend one or multiple nights. Clean, well illuminated and safe.
There is a power outlet in a post close to the corner and potable water available.
Although there are toilets they are only open during events.

Paramos a dormir dirección Sucre. Es un lugar amplio, un poco desnivelado, nada especial pero tranquilo para pasar la noche. Hay puestos para comer.

Good for one night, super quiet.
Any car can get here and there’s a few fire rings.
There was quite a bit of litter around so make sure you pack up your garbage with you.

Fine place, a lot of space for tents, shaded by fat oaks. Water and toilets. There is a small river behind, just enough for a dip. Many families eating and camping. Small store near the entrance. We were 3 cyclists, did not have to pay. At night, wild boars appear and eat all the trash lying around, which is plentiful.

Great spot inside the monastery with access to toilet and shower. The brothers are deeply welcoming and could even invite you to share meals with them.

We are traveling by cycling from north to south. This shortcut in Bolivia and passes through a lower pass (4500m, rather than 4800 on the other side). However, this is a smuggling road, so locals recommend taking the long way. We've taken this road, there's a lot of camino going on with drivers cars. He's telling us a lot. The mixed road between hard ground, land and sandy roads

we arrived at Ubaté and asked first at the fire station but they said we couldn't spend the night there. then we went to the sports center and talked with Alejandro, the boss, he was pretty interested in our trip and after a few questions he authorized us to go to the coliseum, there they allowed us to stay in a room on the second floor. you just need to ask nicely. no kitchen nor restaurants inside but some nearby. there are bathrooms but water supply is intermittent.

Looks like a kiosko from the outside (has an intel logo in the window) but they also have food.
I came here once in the evening (around 21:00) and they had chicken with rice and potatoes and once during lunch (13:30) soup, a milk shake and a Segundo of rice vegetables and meat.
Expect a super friendly family also cooking for hungry cyclists rather than a full scale restaurant.

$35/electrical & water, very small sites. If you're there for day use, $10 fee. Flushing toilets, no sink, no showers.

I hate to do this to Ma and Pop type places but I have to since we spent 30 bucks on it. It’s a private campground and the tent spots are all super close to the highway. We could hear road noise the whole night and on top of that the spots are VERY uneven. Don’t bother going into the outhouse either, it’s terrible. You are better off parking on the side of the road for free unfortunately. There needs to be some better upkeep for 30 bucks a night.

This was my second visit and remains one of my favourite campsites of all time.

Stayed at #4 which wasn't there when I last visited. Fantastic view. Still couldn't get the paraffin geyser to produce a decent shower. They're fun and quirky but solar or gas would be far more user friendly.

Oh, and there were whales frolicking in the ocean so that made it that much more worthwhile...

Nice place in the forest. Lots of shade and space to park. We had a very quiet night and saw no one. Dirt road leading to the place was a bit muddy, 4x4 recommended by rain. Downside: a lot of mosquitos. Also, we asked for the warm bread in the morning at the camping side but they did not sell it, maybe only during high season.

We parked here for a week while doing volunteer work in Chaco. It’s a more quiet part of the street, though you always hear some motorbikes passing. Safe.

There’s a little market 50m away where you can pay with card.

Antigua Tourist Police Yard
We were here for a week or so, policeman are really friendly and the place is awesome. Theres plenty of shadow, a tap with non potable water wich we drank from and felt good afterwards. They only ask for passport, vehicle registration and having a toilet inside. One night there we're two cyclist on a tent and they acept them.

The worst experience in mechanics. They charged me 200 dollars and did absolutely nothing. They treated us very reluctantly, we asked them to let us know if we had to leave the van and the moment they closed they told us that we had to go and leave the motorhome, we had nowhere to go and after several discussions they left us in a very bad way stay We asked for the budget in the morning and in the afternoon when we were going to pay they wanted to charge us 80 thousand pesos more, a disaster. Don't come here!!

Gate was closed but we were able to open it, no “no trespassing” signs, only a “no cutting firewood” sign. We drove down the road for a while looking for trees to hammock in but found very few. Lots of cactus, lots of flies. Some of the best stars I’ve ever seen, clear view of the Milky Way. We even saw two cows in the morning.

Georgia to Turkey
Exiting Georgia was unfriendly but swiftly except that they scrutinised my german driving license for 5 minutes.
Entering Turkey we were the only private vehicle.
Stop at the first office/barrier. Get out and do immigration first (on your left, same as for passengers). Then go to the office on the right and do the temporary importation of the vehicle. You need passport, vehicle documentation, driving license and insurance certificate (“green card”). You will get a green border pass which you have to show to customs. You get no papers for the importation. Then drive straight ahead to customs. They’ll check the vehicle. Thereafter the procedure was a bit confusing. I was sent into the building where somebody wanted to check the passport again. Spoke only turkish. Thereafter another officer waved us through to the final barrier at the exit. Another passport check and we were in Turkey. Altogether it took us one hour.
Having a translator on your phone will help.

If you are shipping a vehicle from Europe then this is the best place to stay. Its 20/30 minutes walk or a straight bus ride to Customs in Susie Lake Drive to clear your vehicle. Then another straight bus ride to the port to collect it. Plenty of on-site parking to get organised. There is a large retail park close by with Home Depot, Costco, Wallmart, Atlantic Superstore, Canadian Tire etc. plus plenty of smaller shops and cafés. if you are here for a few days then it's close to a transit terminal where you can get to anywhere around Halifax. Staff helpful and friendly, highly recommended.

Large, quiet, remote campsite right next to Niagara Creek with a small but awesome swimming hole. Wooded but also open with nice views. Large rock fire pit. 3-4 flat spots for tents and room for at least three vehicles. A U.S. Forest Service truck drove by and waved shortly after I arrived (2pm), never saw or heard anyone else after that. There was a large saw hanging from a tree which I assume is provided by the Forest Service. About a mile long dirt/gravel road from the highway is very rough, 4x4 and high clearance likely needed; I did it in my 2002 Ford Escape in 4x4 mode. Turn off the highway at (38.3180770, -119.9289358) and use google maps to easily see where to turn on the road (it won't navigate the dirt roads). Accurate coords of actual campsite are (38.3269057, -119.9273613) (turn right at listed coords).
