In the middle of nowhere. Three water sources. Salty but a lot of water pumped from the ground.

We arrived midday and had the place to ourselves until around 6 on when a few others showed up. No cell signal. Very quiet. Nice to sit on beach and watch river flow by.

Pedimos permissão aos moradores locais (Dona Val e Cido) e aos donos do restaurante e fomos muito bem recebidos.

For full blown big rigs this is the place to camp. Big rigs in town is a non starter. Camped here in 11 tonne MAN truck for five nights. Decent range of all alcohol, first class food supermarket.
Easy walk to town, pemex fuel station next door

The spot is essentially the same as the one next to it on the map. The other marks the entrance to the short double track which leads to the meadow. I had a wonderful Tuesday night here with no other vehicles. It was fairly windy but calmed as the sun went down. The wind picked up again in the morning as the sun rose. Lots of level parking spots for any size vehicle. Two bars of LTE service on AT&T. Enough for data. Only a few miles off the highway on a bumpy but very manageable forest service road. Easily done in 2WD without needing high ground clearance. No road noise. No cows…

everything everyone else said! except my two nights here weren’t very quiet. people around fires partying til midnight and early risers playing music at 7AM. i really enjoyed the community feel! but it wasn’t quiet.

nice, extremely clean place, excellent sanitary, directly at the nice beach. sometimes little noisy from the Hotel beside and the beach also at night. They sold well prepared fresh fish and shrimps at the beach. payed 450 for two persons and camper.

It was peaceful and close to the lake. the gas station wasn't open before 10 am.

Quiet area at least in the shoulder season outside of business hours. Plenty of other overnighters in the lot but didn't hear a peep out of any of them. Felt perfectly safe and comfortable both nights I crashed here. Makes a good basecamp for all your various Black Hills/Badlands activities.

We stayed here after hiking at Zion all day, and before driving west to CA. It was a beautiful spot, we arrived just in time for a stunning sunset! Barely off of 18 but we didn’t hear any road noise. In the morning, we saw deer prancing through the meadow. The greenery was refreshing and surprising after being surrounded by so much red rock! We had solid Verizon service.

There’s a bunch of trucks and campers parked along this not very used road here. It’s between highway 5 and the railroad tracks so not super quiet or scenic but there’s lots of parking options and it’s close to Local businesses and there are some trees and bushes so it’s not just desert.

Good lunch and cheap 20q Churrasco with juice.

we stay here one night, now out of season, nobody passing . very quiet night . wake up with some fog on the lake it was a scenic sunrisers.

Very clean. Big washers to do comforters. Reasonable prices. Fast. Parking on the side. No broken washers or dryers.

Beautiful spot especially when the sun is out! Heard no noise from the highway just the occasional train horn.

Swung by out of curiosity in the daytime. Campground is still closed down due to the Emerald Ash Borer. There is plenty of parking at the boat launch but it's just an open lot. Bathrooms are clean.

This is a wonderful place (we stayed for 3 nights), Sue and Rory are very nice folks, great hosts and happily welcome travelers
Should we be in the area again, we‘ll certainly re-visit

Stayed here one night. Dedicated spots in the back for rvs. Busy locations but relatively quiet over night. In a shopping plaza with lots of restaurants and businesses. Walmart just down the street.

Excelente lugar para ir fuera de temporada. estuvimos una semana casi sin ver gente, tranquilidad total! aguas termales fabulosas, y pasa un caño con agua potable que tiene una canilla ya que el agua termal no es potable.
a 1,5 estan las termas de aguas calientes y a 5 km el geiser de los tachos. lugares fantásticos.
en esta locación dice estar prohibido acampar y encender fuego pero los lugareños nos dieron su aval de quedarnos y prender fuego ya que estamos en temporada baja!

Stayed overnight. Loud all night with people partying and doing donuts. Felt kinda sketchy but nobody bothered us. Signs all over the road saying no overnight parking but if they aren’t worried about the people clearly living here you should be fine to pull up late and leave early

This place is CLOSED. there is a Pemex in front that will let you stay for 50 pesos

Rustic KZN campsite in a nice natural setting with great views to the surrounding mountains, but to really enjoy the mountain scenery you have to take some short hikes. Amenities: two toilets, two hot showers and kitchen sinks. Nice hiking trails start here. Our favourite is Sleeping Beauty Cave. 80 ZAR p.P. 3G MTN signal.
