Bathrooms were fine, but this area was very secluded - if I was a single woman, I would not stay in this area.

Otherwise, the area itself was OK. Heard a decent amount of traffic throughout the night. Seems like it would be better to check out the more established, more populated campground down the hill. About the more populated campground: If you are just pulling in for the night, it doesn't look like you would have to pay.

absolutely love it here! first stayed here about a year and a half ago and had the best time swimming in the river. had the whole place to ourselves this time on a Wednesday and Thursday night. for full time van dwellers like us, it is so great finding little gems like this. free with bathrooms, hot showers, trash bins and a beautiful river to swim in. one of my favorite places to camp.

Beautiful spot with very little noise, only the occasional car driving by - had no problems. However, one of the signs says no unauthorised camping on HooDoos conservation property which also includes the parking lot...

Quiet in the bigger parking lots, easy to park away from the businesses. Other truckers and van lifers here too, feel safe, security drives around but won’t bother you. Food restaurants restrooms gambling shopping shows... great visit

Really modern and nice cafe place with car wash

We didn't spend the night exactly here but by another similar restaurant with coloured tables and chairs (don't remember the name). Really a great experience. We could park under the trees or put our tent under the palapa on the beach. We could also use toilets and shower. They didn't ask for anything, but we bought some drinks and a great shrimps cocktail.

as already described, 3 campsites, all with shade toilet shower braai, 125ppn, from main road 6km rough access road, not for large trucks

There are a ton of sites all around here. It's muggy with lots of skeeters though. But also, it just rained here. So, maybe it isn't usually?

No AT&T. There are numbered sites throughout the NF. No amenities for the ones near here.

We love this place. Quiet area with lots of hilly gravel roads to ride. Verizon Cell service is full bars LTE good enough to live stream if you want. Also there are several great hiking trails nearby with rivers and lakes. Steep gravel road but in good shape. All vehicles can make it. We’ve stayed here for 7 days at a time.

Rad free camp site by a beautiful lake. No facilities but a very friendly ranger did stop by to say hello and invite us to dinner. He also mentioned that we could stay for up to 10-14 days if we wanted as well. Gorgeous place with a great view of the rockies. No mosquitoes but TONS of Mayflies (in May) and lots of beautiful bird life. Also the road in was pretty good (we had no problems in our 42' school bus) but might be a bit muddy after a big rain storm. We were the only ones here. Great spot!

this campground is open. and omg... amazing. one of the most beautiful I have been. I usually do boondocking but this place is beautiful. $12 with NP pass. pay after you leave. credit or debit only.

lots of room to get away from people.

This is a 24hr fuel station with gas and diesel. After hours, it's credit/debit card only. One of the few places to find fuel for miles. If you are venturing deep into the Gila NF for several days, this station can be your fuel resupply point.

Talked to the person in the Visitor Center and you can park in the back overnight free ... no facilities

Nice and well lit place. It has 7 RV/BUS spots. I was the only one staying for the night. Little bit Highway noise was there but still had a good sleep.

Short dirt road leads to a great camp spot with easy access. Gorgeous views. I was the only vehicle on a Wednesday night. Hike the nearby hill for excellent views of the dry lake bed. Camp spots higher up the hill possible if you have 4WD. No road noise.

Parking spot fits about two vehicles it has posts to prevent large trailers. Beyond posts is a gravel pad and earthen/rock fire rings. Right on the river that has a few rapids so it has a great sound all night. Lots of tree coverage to give privacy in the leafy seasons. Other sites are far apart. Hiking trails and snorkeling holes near by. In the Cherokee National Forest. Careful which roads you travel as the roads can be challenging if you are pulling or in a non 4 wheel drive or low car. Composting toilets are about a half mile away and aren’t always open so you might want to bring a shovel

Highway rest area. Kinda loud and somehow there’s no cell service here.

This is a old clay pigeon shooting site but no more in use.

Through a small street which is around 100m from a side street you reach this perfect site via a gravel track.

We stayed overnight and had no issues.
No cars passed us. You can not see this place from the street. There is a lot of space to stay 4-6 caravans.

Sometimes you can hear a car from the street 100m away but not often.

We stayed here from 10.05.21 overnight.
I wormly recommend you this great site. You are alone here.

Small meadow maybe good for camping with tent

If your rig is bigger than a Van, they may want to charge you more. The attendant wanted to give free nights only if I stayed a longer period. I insisted that’s not what his sign says up front and was going to look for an alternative, and then he changed his mind.
I arrived about 8PM, and told him I was only going to spend the day at the island, but coming back, I’d sleep another night here. He said ok.
At the end of the next day, getting back from the island, he wanted another 50 to spend the night. I decided to move the car to the free street parking right in front of him.
Had a quiet night.
So… it’s free nights if you stay longer periods.
Be sure to get your ticket. I had to ask him twice…

Very lovely lakeshore bookdocking site. Here with one other rig on a Wednesday, but plenty of room for privacy. Met up with some friends on a Saturday and the place was packed. Some of the shore is loose gravel so be careful not to get stuck. Good for tents, truck camper, or vans only. No amenities. Two bars of LTE on ATT.

Perfectly flat. Good AT&T service. Cows mooing in the background.

we were just near this place with a camper.
in the night (23h), a police car has passed and did not want we stay here. They escorted us until the next campsite in Moorosi chalets at 15 kms
