Absolutely beautiful expanse of pine tree with an awesome free course! The parking area had ample sun to charge your solar and a very cool skate and dog park as well. Numerous water spouts but not ideal for refilling a large water container.

Free parking and day use area. For smaller vans and truck campers. No RV parking from 11pm to 6 am. It’s a great free parking spot with picnic tables close to the Ski hill and marina. There are also bathrooms. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash. There is also a water fountain with potable water to fill your water bottles.

Large space for vans and smaller rigs, 2wd accessible, a little more private feeling than ponderosa lines spot and just up the road. Locals must use this place for target practice but was perfect for a night.

$15 per night even if you have the America the Beautiful annual park pass according to the female Ranger that stopped by to collect the fee. Beautiful spot. We had trouble finding a spot big enough for our 21 ft RV, but eventually did. Quiet. No Verizon signal. Great place for dogs. Although no dogs allowed on the trails. Great place for bouldering. No water or electric. There are very stinky pit toilets you can smell 100 feet away so choose your spot accordingly. Picnic tables and fire rings (when not under fire restrictions).

Nice spot to camp. As described. RV and tent spots. We opted to camp at a more secluded spot up the highway but we drove through here to check it out. Very nice park and great if you need water, electricity and flush toilets.

Quiet neighbour, other roads around say no parking hours through the night, stairs lead down to beach people coming and going walking dogs down on beach, but at dark no traffic, not really busy area, road bikes to a park and marina

Road ends at a small turnaround. I see big rigs parked there overnight all the time. Just don’t block the small construction entrance with the chain/lock across it. Limited turn around area so if you have a trailer you’d be better off backing in. Some walking trails into the field, no amenities but quiet. Construction site close by so maybe some early morning noise, there is washrooms on the construction site within walking distance

Bathrooms were clean, as well as the campgrounds. Each campsite has a pagoda with a concrete floor and picnic table, a firepit and fire grill. All except the firepit were clean.

The majority of the spots could handle fifth wheels and RV’s. Nice easy spot for $5 without disco t.

Tons of flies though.

Quite a worn down site overall, but there are a few very nice clear and level sites among the ancient trees.
Beautiful forest with the river running right next to the sites.
Didn’t have an issue with mosquitos at this time of year, but I can see how they could be an issue in summer.
A few pit toilets.
Tables and fire pits at every site.
Worth a stay if you’re coming out to see San Josef Bay

As described-ish
I must be at the other end of the rest stop or they have changed the spigot.
I'm also on visible which runs on Verizon 4g only and I seem to have service. I just tested, so slow it's probably unusable. This test still is just south of the California inspection point.
The Klamath river is right there, nice spot.

Stopped in here to check it out and there’s absolutely no view and it’s right on top of the US 93 which is noisy all night long. There’s also a spot directly across on a dirt pad. I ended up staying at the other campsite with the spectacular view but extremely rough road. There are other campsites to the left and right just off the road that are farther away from the 93 that are good for a few nights

There is a free RV dump easy access. Non potable water only for rinsing. Most rest area dump stations are as you exit, but this one is in the parking area to the left near a big rock.

Terrific free city spot for camping with my van! An RV or camper would work too. I was in an SUV, parked up Saturday night. Pulled out Monday morning. Restrooms at fDR memorial are clean, and very quiet in the morning & late night. All good here! Just came back for a second night. Mornings so quiet I’ll set an alarm for 8. No way ticketing happens before that…
