Quiet during the day, very loud since 8pm until pass midnight because of one of the clubs on the are.
Pros: you can get the WiFi from armadillos from your RV sometimes and the locals are very friendly, we felt very welcomed. Armadillos has good belizean breakfast and fish tacos and they let us use their bathroom (not the cleanest) and refill our water tank with their hose.
Cons: very loud at night. If you like to sleep early and have a quiet night, we recommend you go to the other place in the area call “town park”

Very professional welding done at this garage.

The rear rack of our truck nearly broke and we went here to get it fixed. They did a very good and fast job.

Strong reinforcements and two people working on it for a full day costed 18.000 MT.

We could camp on their fenced premises for free for two nights. Running water. Did not ask for toilet.

Adapters there. Keep money for change in your pocket. Owner is a rascal, but friendly.

Dirtroad down the station. Dirt road in the backyard down the hill to the station. Looks unusual.

Amazing spot for both camping and hotel right on the beach. A flat and grass secure space is accessible for campervan. All commodities and private access to the ocean. The sisters and priests living in this community are more than welcoming. You can have meals and even share them with the community on request. There is also a bar with cool drinks. On weekends, Tanga families are coming in the big garden facing the ocean to have barbecues. Worth it to stay here for more than a night !

Price for camping ; 15.000 shillings per adults and 10.000 for children.

The unpaved road to the beach (with a building and some permanent RVs on the dunes) is pretty bad washboard. You will need 4x4 on the sandy patches to get from this beach to the waypoint.

There are numerous tracks proving that people did drive down to the water and even below the floodline, but we didn't want to take the risk and camped on the road in between the two tracks leading down because it was a little less windy there. (Yes, we blocked the road but it was close to sunset and we didn't expect nightly traffic.)

In the morning, we climbed the rocks above the arch and saw about 10 sea lions, which all went into the water at high tide.

Weak Telcel 4G signal.

If you want to go south you enter PKK area. The military is not happy if you go there. For me they said it’s okay to go to Akoyan but not further. I stopped in the akoyan valley for lunch but already 20 minutes later some civil military came by and told me it would be safer to go back to rawanduz. They are very kind and refer to security reasons for tourists.

Dirt road off Scipio frontage road with plenty of pullouts. Beautiful views to the south-east. Verizon coverage good. Can hear highway in the distance but not much of a deterrence.

Had a quiet night at this spot behind the train wrecks. Very few cars drove by. Spectacular during sunset. At 1 am a real train passed and woke us up afterwards again very quiet.

Flat ground near a stream. You have multiple options to stay that are level. We were well protected from the wind. The gravel road that leads by it is a dead end. We were here in April, no people or cars around. Just some remains from cattle.

Beautiful and quiet. No truck and bus here as mentioned in prior post. Great spot for those who seek solitude. The trickling warm spring pools (aptly named for their slight odor and not for bathing) are a bird haven, especially red wing blackbirds - fun to rise with them. Plenty of space and choices for parking

Long gravel parking lot abutting the road to Red Rocks. Great vanlifing spot close to town and RR!

Wasn’t sure it would still be ok with it being the height of climbing season and local campgrounds being sold out, but there were a ton of vehicles here on a Friday night and we weren’t disturbed.

I was able to find a spot in the entrance to a dirt road heading into the desert so I was a few feet further from the road and the noise wasn’t bad in my van. I would not be psyched to rent camp here
