benjamin.grass | See comments above. Just added photos. Seems like a pretty well known spot. About 15 teenagers arrived not long after we got in. |

lambsundries | Quiet night, fairly level, narrow one lane road with two way traffic. There was only one incoming vehicle on my way in. We were at a point where we could each get half off the road and get by each other. |

ultra4x4 | OK campsite, over priced. drive off main road is roughly 8kms and rutted, note to Jones, rutted roads can and does cause bad damage to vehicles and going faster does not lessen damage regardless of vehicle type.

travelsouthbound.de | Still a very nice camp for vans and tents. Marta and her husband are lovely people and very helpful. You can easily discover the island from this place and can walk to the beach Jert. You can also chill at the big and clean pool. We can highly recommend this „mini“ camp. |

patreon.com | We camping in this public park. We picked a spot away from the river by the small lagoon as there are reasonable toilets here. Toilets are open during the day and gets opened at 830 in the morning. Lots of people in the daytime but very quiet at night. There are a few power points in the park but not where we camped. |

mattdavidson530 | For us this place was perfect. There’s a handful of free campsites with picnic tables and fireplaces. Pit toilet that is actually well-kept with toilet paper. River runs right through and there are a few awesome hiking trails right behind to catch an awesome sunset. Very minimal highway noise, didn’t bother us at all. Three bars T-Mobile. We stayed two days and we will definitely come back. |

ourlifeuntethered5 | 10 campsites but only a few are level. We liked #1 because it was level, big, and private. When you enter the park just keep driving and pass the observatory. the only bathroom we saw was at the observatory but it's a long walk to the campsites. There was a shower in the bathroom. There is a water spigot behind the bathrooms. We screwed off the bottom cap thingy to screw our hose into and fill our water tank on our RV. We have a 25ft trailer. I think the campsite could hold up to a 30 ft beyond that you may have trouble getting out. there was a playground. $7 a night. |

scott.smalley | Tanzania to Burundi (01.09.22) As of today you need a rapid COVID test (nasal- yikes!) to enter Burundi. Cost $15. You get the test before entering the gate. After test go to immigration to pay. At the same place you pay for the test you can also pay the BIFranc 30,000 for the car TIP. Very nice officer called a money fixer to change $ to BIFranc (we showed the current online exchange rate). Then go to immigration to get stamped in- we got our visa in Kigoma so the process at the border was fast. COVID Test took the most time- and trying to understand each other between Swahili, French and English 😅 |

on-the-road-again.nl | Quite a smooth crossing, very quiet at Zambian side what may have helped. Exiting Zim:
Entering Zambia
Good to go. At the gate a check of the carnet from the police. After the gate you can arrange insurance. We got an insurance for 30 days for 150 Kwatcha. All in all this bordercrossing cost us 1.5 hour.

conchscooter.blogspot.com | We also stopped at the open grassy area at the first right turn about half a mile short of the pond. Almost no mosquitoes here far from water sources but there is road noise from the paved Highway. No signs indicating the turn off so use mapping to find the narrow entrance between the pines (Google works). A US Forest Service signboard on the bumpy sandy trail will indicate you are on the correct road.

scottproffer | Big pine tree shade in most of the park. Big RV to Tent camping areas = $19 up to $40 per night. We are in a Sprinter Van with no need to hook-up, so we paid $19. They take cash and credit cards. Nice walking areas with the dog on leash. |
