Only 2 RV's here, full hook up worked perfect, showers & toilets were clean, we also did our laundry here. Campsites are very close to each other - not a very pretty Campground but it is ok. Campground is for sale.

This location is at Galt Walmart. At this location there is a huge parking lot and there is always another camper or van. This location is quite but if you want it even quieter you should move to the side by the garden center. Slept great for the night I was there. Please be respectful.

We’ve been traveling for almost 4 years now and this camping has the most unfriendly, even hostile service we’ve encountered in the whole world!
As we came from the south we planned to take the ferry to Salvador but there was too much wind and we had to wait for 6 hours before we were allowed to get on. So we informed the owner of the camping if it was ok to check in later and that we had friends already at the campsite who could let us in. He confirmed it was not a problem. So when we finally arrived and our friend let us in, a woman (apparently the owner’s wife) started shouting at us that they were closed and couldn’t enter anymore. So we explained and showed her the conversation on WhatsApp. She called the owner and started barking at him, closed the phone, barked at us and smashed the door close just in front of us. 😳
Since than she didn’t speak a word to us. Also their guard just sat there without saying a word for 3 days. When my wife asked him if he could open the gate for us, he just stared at her… Nobody showed us any facility, WiFi, which plugs had 110 or 220V… As this was the only option for a secured camping spot in Salvador, we stayed their for 3 nights… Never again!
Next day we were into town and arrived back at the camping at 18h. Gate was closed and nobody answered when we knocked on the door. We rang the door bell for several times but without result…
After calling the owner again, suddenly his son opened the door of the gate and disappeared again. Apparently his wife and son were at home, but didn’t feel like opening the gate…
Only then the owner told we should have received a key to open the gate and should now receive it soon. Only on the 3rd day finally the guard came to give us a key.
If you want to be treated like crap, you MUST visit this place! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We camped on Fairview ridge, which is accessed further down the earthquake fault road. We passed by a few other places to camp along the way. Where we ended up has a great view, especially towards the west. Fair warning - it can get very windy up there. The road leading up the mountain is gravel single-lane and steep.

you are immediately overwhelmed with the number of birds here. at the hummingbird feeders we positively identified 11 species of just hummingbirds! a dozen more "regular" birds. the couple said when they bought this property in 95' that it was pasture land and they have spent the last 27 years planting a forest. so many cool flowers too! when you look around it's hard to believe. it's quiet here with lots of little nooks crannies to check out and a 1.7km trail down to a creek. the property is far from the road but you can still hear trucks engine braking. very clean potable drinking water here from the spigot with only 20ppm. even though no guests were staying there we were not allowed to take showers. if you're more than 8m long then turning around at the end will be tricky.

super peaceful down here. no crowing roosters, no dogs barking, no fireworks or loud music. no one came down, not even Carmen, the whole 3 days we were here which was great for us. I'm just checking in to add a couple of small details.

there is a very sharp hairpin on a steep hill getting down to the grassy area at the bottom. we had to do a 3 point turn to get around that probably wouldn't be possible with something over 8m but otherwise no size restrictions (there is a place to park up on the hill, but you will have to walk down to the camping area from here). at this time the stove/oven is not working. we were told by Carmen, who speaks some English, that the showers would be so hot we should be careful, they were not. I found the heater on the back wall had been turned all of the way down and ask I turned them up and had very nice showers. I was also hoping to fill our water tank here but with our TDS tester the water was at 268ppm so we did not fill here. they offer potable water in a jug though. we also didn't see any scorpions around, and I was looking. 2 dollar taxi from the neighborhood around the corner were easy to get as it's about 4km to the center of Baños from here.

This is located in the Industrial area behind WinCo & Burlington and you can pretty much park overnight on the streets anywhere in the Industrial area. The end of Eastman & start of Ortega is a quiet little area as long as this one tweaker who likes to park his dumpy RV in the same area sometimes isn't around and being a burn out. It's right up against the strawberry fields and train tracks so it's got a nicer isolated feeling to it compared to other spots that's just parking lots and buildings for a decent stretch of blocks. Train does pass through though so that's noisy. People start showing up for work at around 4am so it's better to leave early but I've slept in a few times myself and haven't had any issues. You just have to be discreet and don't have all your shit on full display. If you stay out of the way and aren't an eye sore you will be fine in this spot and general area. During the weekends it's a ghost town and is a chill place to post up as long as you want again as long as you are being low pro but you can also be more relaxed than you could be during the week. Cell phone coverage is fine for me here. I stayed here for about 3 weeks and only had one run in with a cop that asked us to leave (idk if someone complained, probably the more likely case, or if he was just bored and doing the rounds in this area to chase out all the people who live out of their car and frequently stay in the area). So all in all not so bad and I would recommend to anyone who's visiting Ventura and sleeping in their vehicle since technically it's illegal to sleep in your car overnight in the city, but this is one of the main areas where you can get away with it and won't get a ticket and can get a good night's rest.

*** Position is approximate, there is a signpost at the main road right after the bridge ***

They are officially closed, but there were some friendly guards there. The gardens are still taken care of but all installations are out of order. They brought up a bucket of water for a shower from the river. We camped in the garden for 1000 MT (2 persons with roof top tent) and had a nice view over the river and the bridge and a quiet and dark night.

Great location for a one night or two night stay. I live out of my suv so it’s a lot easier to stay two nights and not stick out. Great view of the lake ! Has a bonfire pit. Really close to the highway. Loud. Has a decent restroom. I stayed here two nights. No problem.

Nice spot right off BRP about halfway between Asheville and Boone. Nice hike to the falls. Bathrooms were a little small (not sure how accessible it is for wheelchairs, but if you don’t use a wheelchair you’ll have a good amount of space). $20 a night.

Fantastic little rec park beside Homesite Creek. Operated by a sweet lady charging the lowest rates on the coast ($14/night). Sites for campers/RV, cars by reservation (email ~10 days in advance). FCFS sites available, some larger open sites; some smaller compact ones. Firepits and stationary picnic tables. Lots of stable trees for anchoring hammocks/tarps. Bring garbage bags and plenty of water.

The nearby kharsks are great for wading in when the creek is low. Water levels might be high in some spots during wet season.

Is in between some walls of sand. Used to be a river, depends on the season. I didnt want to stay at the town but further there was no protection from the wind which is really strong. On the way to Sajama.
