Great campsite, lovely grass across all the sites, power and water closeby and a fantastic bathroom with a bath for kids, if you can stay the Sunday and Monday for a chance to see the animals walk through the campsite to the river to drink. they have buck, zebra and buffalo

lovely peaceful place to camp or take a hut. Alex and Sandrine were great knowledgeable hosts. We got some really useful information from them and nothing was too much bother. We intended to stay just 2 days but ended up staying 6. A good area to walk and get the basics bread, eggs veggie etc and a good base to visit the hot springs at Wondo Genet and Lake Shala and lake Chitu. Lots of Rastafarian places to visit in the town. The lodge is a bit difficult to locate but well worth it. Good food and Zorro the Husky is beautiful. We got hook up from a nearby chalet and used to ablutions there too.

nice little place with all you need. 25 minutes Walk to town. hot showers. 2500 Pesos 2 Person 1 campervan 1 night.

excellent place to buy a local Gas bottle. they even do the new Hose Connection with a local Regulator. very helpful.

site is nice and OK, but price exploded: 4.500 Pesos for 2 Person 1 campervan per night. bathroom Not cleaned for weeks. If you are in a Dschungel its difficult to Clean Up but this condition ist Not acceptable at this price Level. the Ride from the south on N40 was rough but as IT was dry possible for a normal 2WD Bus. No place to Change Money around so be prepered.

northbound No Control, good for us. we saw southbound a little Queue as they stopped every car. so far we had No Problems with Police in Argentina, Fingers crossed!

Camping/Fishing Club. Bathrooms in poor condition. The place is wide and very beautiful, with lots of shade. But ATTENTION. If you can't cook inside the vehicle, avoid this place and its surroundings, the amount of insects that go towards the light is impressive, making it impossible to stay outside the motorhome at night. To sleep they charged ARS500 per person.

Camping/Clube de pesca. Banheiros em péssimas condições. O lugar é amplo é muito bonito, com muita sombra. Mas ATENÇÃO. Se não pode cozinhar dentro do veículo evite este lugar e suas redondezas, a quantidade de insetos que vão em direção a luz é impressionante, tornando impossível durante a noite ficar do lado de fora do motorhome. Para dormir cobraram ARS500 por pessoa

Purified water. Friendly staff. Very clean. Closed Sundays.

We camped overnight at restaurant Rancho Los Girasoles where owner Ronald offers us a spot for 5000C per person. This restaurant is still under construction but not very crowded. from the campsite you walk the route to Cerro Pelado where you can watch a great sunrise. Ronald is friendly and hospitable and can cook wonderfully!

Multiple entrances to lake, though not connected to each other. I came in from road 240 side. Three camp spots, camp ring only, and load of trash at end of road. 😡 Another entrance has closed gate and HIHA posted—(hike in hunting area.) Entering from road 230 side (from looking at Google satellite map) and many more camp spots to be had with picnic tables and pit toilets. Most camp flats are gravel protrusions into lake—ie fully exposed. Seems quiet, but conversation across the lake can be heard as well as cars crossing a cattle grate from the sounds of it. Some folks fishing, then leaving, some folks might be camping. Lotus are infilling the small coves opposite dam.

Small rest stop with a water fountain, table and bathrooms.

Right off the 101. Lots of parking and fuel pumps. Poor lighting.

Camping is permitted at the staging areas. Many of the side roads are closed to motor vehicles. If the road isn’t on the map in the staging area it is not open to vehicles.

They'll fill whatever you need them to. Was about 20 for a grill tank.

Well maintained 1.5 car-wide gravel forest road requires no 4wd, just has some potholes. This spot has room for prob 2 vehicles or a vehicles and a tent or two. Amazing view of the Rainier. No snow at all last wknd of October.

Very nice and renovated after storm. Stayed in our OGT here. Nice park for kids and pavilion with new shower/bathroom house.

Great spot! Easy to find, close to the highway but pretty quiet.

Ein toller Platz für 4x4 Overlander auch mit LKW zu erreichen an einen großen künstlichen See Nähe zur Grenze nach Kambodscha.
Ideal für eine Übernachtung um am nächsten Tag die Grenze zu durchfahren.

The other more central hostel was closed so came here MX 400 for a dorm bed which is a bit steep, bit run down and the young guy didn’t speak good English. Could probably have found a better local hotel for cheaper. On the upside it was in a quiet neighbourhood, there was kitchen access and somewhere safe inside a locked compound to put my bicycle. Not really a hostel in the truest sense just a section of rooms with some as dormitories.

We stayed here last night . At 12:30 am police knocked on our door. Said someone has reported gun shots in area and asked if we had heard anything . Said no, then officer told us overnight parking was not allowed at trailheads. I told her I didn’t think was a problem because there weren’t any no parking signs posted . She said didn’t matter because it is not allowed. She said she assumed we were only sleeping overnight there, and that we could stay the night , but have to leave in morning . We left at 6:30am. Signs may be placed there soon I would expect .

updating, now you have doing an "checking" with the security park to say how many days do you will stay, just for control. and the facilities now the bathroom has a hot shower.
