Road was still washed out heading towards the beach, smaller 2wd would make it easily but it was too narrow for an RV.

Road is a little rough but no problem for 2wd. We just drove up to look around.

Great place along the beach. There are several sections to stop, so you are a bit (not completely) secluded. Nice view, quiet at night. And perfect for whale watching, at the right time of the year, of course.

can't get much better than this! we stayed here for a night and then went exploring past the cattle guard and found similar but more secluded spots.

Pahrump has tons of BLM land right outside of town. I ended up staying in town for about a week and spent most of the time in this area. Quiet, so much room to spread out, and plenty of other ppl around if you prefer to have neighbors. Cool view at sunset looking over the town.

I stayed here two days and had a relatively good time. First night was very quiet and I was thankful to be near the beach and nice little stretch of grass. The second night I got woken up on Monday morning at 5 am by the loudest fitness group I have ever encountered lol, so be aware of that.

we found a lot of flies next to the river. so we choose another spot, which was perfect. coming from the main road, take the first gravel road, on the left. coming from the spot, turn right drive 200m and take the gravel on the right.

Lots of great spots down this road just look for an open pull off and you'll go in and find a spot amongst the 30' cactus we have pretty good 4G barely have 5G.

We stay here for two nights bevor traveling to Costa Rica with our 7 m mobile home. We enjoyed the rest, the many flowers and the light breeze. Ivania is a great hostess.

very nice modern hotel. Quiet, very good breakfast. Staff speaks very good English and is very responsive. good place if you stop for a night when going south. Safe parking. Last minute price on booking.com was 40 Euro incl breakfast got two people.

Campsite with incredible views. Hot showers. Electricity supplied by ranger if needed.

You’ll need about a 25’ hose to fill. Couldn’t reach with our 15’ hose and come to find out it’s not even turned on. Maybe they turn this off on weekends?

parking public au bord du lac Pontchartrain. Aucune indication concernant le stationnement de nuit. à coté des pistes cyclables et du parc de la ville "Nola city park". Au bord de la route mais le soir le teaffic diminue.

beautiful beach! no-one around to collect fees, place very rundown but the waterfront is just stunning. great for swimming, snorkelling, and SUP when the wind is gone. PLEASE feed the dog Palomo and the cat near the abandoned house!!!

nice camp ground 🏕 good showers, had sheltered area with couch and tables. no wifi. can not cook there. 6.000 pppn for a tent.

You should know the ranch is pretty high up in a hill above the city. But it’s a nice base away from the sounds of the city. There are spots to tent camp, as well as a couple rooms for rent with cold showers. There’s a public bathroom with only toilets for campers. The owners were so nice! We asked about camping when we arrived, and they said the price was 30 soles per night (not donation based). After bargaining, we landed on 20 soles plus some photographs of the property. We left our car there and went to town. You can get easily between the ranch and the city on the Corredor Azul bus for 1.50 soles which has its last stop a couple blocks downhill from the ranch. The cheapest mototaxi charged us 12 soles from several blocks closer than the plaza to the ranch. We returned at 10:30 PM and Bruno offered for us to stay in one of the rooms for no extra cost so we wouldn’t have to set up our tent. There are several dogs, as well as horses and donkeys. You can rent horses and ATVs. Lots of trees for hammocks. There’s an outstretched metal hand for pictures and a wooden heart. There are covered areas with chairs and tables with a great view to eat or work. They told us there was wifi but we didn’t try it. There’s an on site restaurant but we didn’t try it. There’s a basic tienda. The property has a nice view over the city of Ayacucho. Recommended for a safe place to stay ✌🏼

Great spot off-road, be careful - we used 4x4 on the way back. This location is in the river bed, we stayed at the top. :) Quiet, dusty.

Nice spacious and secluded forest clearing. It’s not high up (well, it’s in the Holcomb Valley) so no view of the lake. Perfect for stargazing, though

4WD and high clearance absolutely necessary. The drive here from Polique Canyon Rd (or 3N09/Van Heusen Rd, which is parallel to Polique) and 3N16/Holcomb Valley Rd are OK with 2WD with high clearance but 3N76 (the road off 3N16 that takes you to this site) is GNARLY.

There’s a few more options along 3N76 but the farther you go in the harder it gets. I was gonna go in some more but my Jeep almost got stuck so I came back out to this site.

Basic accommodations- secure parking for bikes. Hot water. Clean rooms. Paid 40 soles. Good enough for a night.

Beautiful place at the flood plains. Wayne and Louisa are lovely hosts, willing to help wherever they can. Elephants are visiting on a regular, in our case daily, basis and are very tolerant to people. Recommendation!

Can only fill removable tanks due to short fuel hose.

Boats tour was lovely but it was 275ps per person so I think they ripped us off a bit or they raised their prices. When we asked if we could sleep there, they wanted a “propina” for that so we gave them some. It get’s quiet at night. They ground is leveled. It’s ok for one night as we didn’t feel really safe in the city the vibe there was quite eerie. Would recommend if you just want to do the boats tour and need a place to crash after.
The canyon was insane though was worth the money!

Still open, but poor signage. Open the gate (manual) and drive in.
Its in the centre of town and close to restaurants. The ablutions are in a woeful state. We paid 217 per pitch per night (pensioner rate). Its a lovely view onto the river.

Lovley owners, super winetasting with excellent vines and cheese. Very clean abulutions. Highly recomended!!!

This is a large pull off/parking for Lion Trail. It is right on Hwy 36 lots of traffic during the day but it did slow down at night. We stayed here 3 nights from during the off season. We left our C class parked here during the day while we went into the RMNP. We had no trouble, slept good at night with fan for noise machine. We would stay here again.
