Nice spot for a night, on the way to the border, quiet hidden in the middle of trees, and not on the sand.

Quite big campsite (1600 ISK pppn) with communal kitchen/diner, clean toilets (not many, relative to the size of the camping) and paid showers 300 ISK per 5 minutes).

If you couldn’t get the way back up ask one of the many friendly Tuk-Tuk drivers. Maybe they can pull you up with their completely overloaded Tuk-Tuk. :D

Beautiful place, we have been here on a Sunday night. Lot of family’s enjoying the evening, but they all leave at dawn, do not leave rubbish and don’t listen to music very loudly.

Good flat spot for an overnight or a few days. Easy access for big rigs. Good cell reception. Very quiet and peaceful on the weekend, but on Monday morning the big semi trucks started coming through (like it's a short cut or something?) Please pack out your trash!

We arrived on two motorcycles to stay for a few days and ended up staying four. The road to Steel Horse is gravel at the very beginning off the main road with some good dips and bumps, then quickly switches to paved sections with also some sections of cobblestone strips for each tire if you are driving a car. We communicated with Yvette beforehand about our stay. She runs the place on her own, and has for several years now. She is actively turning it into a horse riding program and yoga studio for retreats. Several room options to choose from, secure parking, hot water, and full kitchen access. Lots of space to spread out and feel comfortable in the main house, plenty of porch area also. For parked big rigs, she asks $28,000 COP per person, not per rig. Her room prices are as listed on the website. Laundry available. Bring your own potable water for drinking or you can purchase large jugs from her at the farm. Water is available in the kitchen for cooking and washing dishes.

Great spot right at the shore of the river, many options before, along and even across, depending on the water level.
There's dirtbiking and ATV traffic though during the afternoon, but everyone had to be home for dinner. Access road gets bumpy in the end, but the first few sites are 2WD. Cell service even down at the river. Stopped at Brainard Lake before, but this is so much better for swimming and mosquitos. No train or road noise!

Plenty of space on this dead end dirt spur off hole in the rock road. 2WD friendly but super washboard action. At least 5 or 6 separate spots along this road. Permit required technically if staying longer than one night, available at VC in town. We were here for 4 and rarely saw anyone. Super quiet, private, great views, very limited shade. This works for multiple nights if you need a break. Great cell service for ATT and Verizon. Stream away. Dumpsters at entrance.

You can wash your car here, 3 meters clearence. friendly staff.

Great little gym in Waldport! We got a week pass for $15 and the gym is 24/7 and has a free shower, which is private and in its own room. There is only 1 shower but it’s really nice and clean with a sink and area to change. Everyone at the gym was super friendly and nice. They even have a barber, tanning and protein shakes you can buy. You need to download an app to get the 24/7 access pass, but they help you with that. Day pass is $8.

Beautiful spot to stay 1-2 nights We parked directly in front of the ocean and listened to the sound of the waves. The pictures are quite confusing. There is definitely no pool and no sinks. They have very basic toilets (bring your own toilet paper) and bucket showers.
We paid 300 pesos per night and thought it was quite pricy compared to other places that offer more amenities but I guess you pay for the view.

Wifi is working pretty good 👍

Be careful that you don't get stuck on the way here.

They made time straight away and our car was done the next the end of the day. Perfect way to explore lima. And when we got back the car was washed also.

Advice: ask to pay in cash then you get a discount.

We have a night and it was quiet et it’s at 4 km from the Riding mountain National Parc

part 2: Monday morning by 8:30am very few people camping only spent the night but great site. we'll be coming back. Not very leveled is the only issue

This is a maze of rocky logging roads. Its not worth it in my opinion unless you are up for a more 4x4 type adventure.

Amazing free shower in multi use building. Feels super stealthy but quite private. They seem to be on every one of the 5 floors.

Southbound: they just waved us through. It seems like they only check Northbound

Amazing views!! Road up was a bit scary as some of the it has fallen due to heavy rains. We made it up with plenty of room in a rav4. Two other cars at our site but it was very quiet with little traffic nearby. Gorgeous view of the stars. Please please pick up after yourselves so we can all share this gorgeous place.

This is a nice spot if you are passing through and need to sleep. Its right next to the highway but feels a bit private because of trees. Good for a night if you need it. No cell coverage

Incredible bicycle shop in Cusco, Peru called Troy Bicycle Specialist. Troy gave my bike a tune up and clean for a very affordable and fair price. High quality work and highly recommended! Located in central Cusco near the post office.
