Easy to access. Part of the road leading to this spot is even paved. Room for a couple of rigs. We had a great fire and it was nice and quiet. Trail head is about a 3 minute drive.

As described by Fierydruid, great place and excellent stopover between Santiago and further south. Lush trees and a creek run through the property and the kids are charming. You will fall in love with the dogs who will come and ‘safeguard’ your rig ! Carla is quick with WhatsApp replies and Don is handy for anything electrical and has a small shop of tools if vehicle maintenance is needed. Good level parking but if you have a big rig call in advance and they will guide you down a nearby lane so you can park on the adjacent vacant lot ( which is easily accessible to El Rincon). It’s an easy place to stay longer than expected ! If you need a break from your rig, they have cabins as well. Water and power available at some sites. Super clean bathroom and hot shower. Wi-Fi is strongest near the cabin and the house. Highly recommended !
Note: Original GPS coordinates were incorrect showing property on the west side of the highway ( its on the east ), updates have been sent to IOverlander but have Carla send you a pin if in doubt. I have updated GPS on this check in ( at gate to property).

$10 to dump. Get a key to the dump’s padlock inside the station. Easy and there’s a little covered area to stay dry from the snow.

Quiet place to spend the night. Was joined by a few others.

It isn’t a super Walmart with a lot of groceries, but we got by with what they had.

A must see garden! At the parking to visit the gardens, for 50 pesos ($3 can) we spent the night in order to visit the next day. You need to get the entree tickets on line the day before or at the centro in Xilitla (9 to 4 o clock).

Camp is very nice. Sites with shade and picnic table, braii spot. No electricity.
Shower is donkey - for us it was cold.
There is a deck with veiw over the river. And some shade and hide from the rain.
Price was 200pp/pn.
For us expensive for what you get - no wifi, no electricity, shower was cold.
The place itself is very nice, and the other camps around were even more expensive.

This is an ecologic campsite where you will have the opportunity to setup you tend into a litter forest with a lots of birds.

The host Guilherme is amazing, a lot carefully with us e he has a lot of knowledge to show about the “funas formation”. With he you also can have trekking into the “Furna Grande” that I suggest so much.

The is a place for small campers. However in case you are in a moto-home, stop here and talk with him, certainly he you support you to find the best place for an wild camp close to some furnas or eve in this lovely village.

R$40 per person.

Climbers use to pay half price.
