Alright so….. going to leave a detailed one about this spot!

My van has been parked here for 3 weeks. There is little to no FREE oversized vehicle parking left on the strip and this place is super van/RV friendly. This location also has 24 hour security going around on bikes so you know your rig is safe here.

I did sleep in the van for the first two days while I waited on my family to arrive and migrate to our hotel. I walked my dog and did everything and never had any issues.

Last night (on week 3), I parked in a spot upon returning for the night and security must have been watching me. They came knocking on the van to tell me that people cannot sleep here. I nicely told them I’m leaving to the Sahara (truth) and they said ok. It doesn’t matter if you’re staying at Circus Circus or not luckily.

If you are planning to sleep in your rig, you must be stealthy. They will ask you to leave if you get caught.

Ram pro master with a 3 inch lift: Getting down into this area was very difficult. Getting back up was even worse. The slick rock is extremely bumpy and treacherous. My cabinets flew open and everything fell out it was so rough. Rain and thunderstorms in the area made for a difficult slog down/up the hill. Front wheel drive barely made it back up the hill and out of this camping area. The views here are gorgeous, but you'll need a high clearance vehicle with 4 x 4 to negotiate the rough terrain. Also, it's dusty and noisy here as there are OHVs going by constantly day and night. I visited in mid May. Next time, I'll bring my Jeep and go further into the back country where it's more secluded.

Very friendly people but they don't seem to offer camping anymore.
They seemed confused about us wanting to sleep in our car, but after a but of explaining they were willing to allow it. However, we really needed to take a shower which was only possible when renting a room.
So, in the end we decided to take a room for 80 Sol for 2 people including breakfast. Simple rooms with comfortable beds and hot showers, so for us it was definitely worth it.

As described- minor road noise, great sunset, wildlife, 1 dirty but not disgusting porta potty. Good cell service on all 3. There was a fisherman leaving shortly after I arrived around dusk, and a few others stopped in to use the porta potty, but otherwise it was empty. Would stay again.

We just returned from a 3 day stay from this campsite. We stayed in site #186. The site had good shade as well as some sunlight throughout the day. There is a short trail to the river behind the site, which because if the recent rains was flowing very nice. The bathroom/shower was well lit and clean as campgrounds are concerned. We brought our dogs and noticed many campers with their dogs. Unfortunately some of the campers did have their dogs off leash which made walking my dogs a little stressful.

We spent 2 nights in front of Pepe's house, who is a very kind gentleman, as well as his whole family. The region is very good, quiet and safe. We slept with the doors open (just fighting the mosquitoes, of which there are many!). It is literally in front of the sea, which is great for a swim, as there are no waves. It is also very clean and has no rubbish around. On the last night, we said goodbye to Pepe with a serenade, with him playing the guitar and singing. In Pepe's house there is no structure, such as Wi-Fi or water, just a bathroom. In the area there is a small market with basic things, and several restaurants that sell showers. Pepe does not charge a fixed amount, it only asks for a spontaneous contribution.

OK place to stay for the night. A little muddy still but definitely accessible. There is quite a bit of trash now so try leave it cleaner than you found it so hopefully it stays a nice place to stop.

I stopped by and loved this place. Definitely take the 40 and not the 734. The 734 is a gravel road that will add a lot of time though it is very well maintained and fine if you want a slower pace. I didn't feel comfortable staying there for the night with the Alberta Fires so I headed onto a spot called Brainard Lake. It was a great spot and so sad I couldn't stay the night there. Oh I added a photo of the 734 on the way in it was nice just around 200km of it to get to the spot.

Quiet and protected. Little Noise from the highway. Some spots are littered with broken glass and trash.

In the toilets there is a shower. It’s 2$ for 5 minutes. It’s not very clean but the water is hot.

Great rest stop, quieter than most. Nice bathrooms in a modern facility. Parked in the gravel lot to the right of the entrance. Three other campers were there. Signs in the regular parking area say no overnight parking but nobody bothered me. Would stay again.

Parking between the gate and the reception for one, maybe two motorbikes. Beautiful place, well worth the 750'000 Toman, or $15 he asked for one person in a 3 single bed room.

Great campsite, nice meals, clean shower and toilets, bar, restaurent, pool, camping gear shop, mechanic workshop, a mini zoo, etc…
This place is incredible.
Luis helped us a lot to find parts and mechanic for our car, and is a very nice person to hang with.

when driving towards Inder take the dirt road on your right hand side just before the bridge over the Oeral. follow the dirt road and you'll find several places where you can access the water. we stayed at the second one.

there is quite a bit off trash at this place. but next to the dirt road or even on the other side it's a lot better and you can still walk down to the water.

several cars passed on the dirt road while we stayed here but nobody bothered us.

we were in a four person tent but there is plenty of space for big rigs.

mosquitos in the evening, not during the day. at least when we were here in may.

Very quiet town. Perfect stay for the border crossing the next day. We got fresh bread, could change our last rials here and even fresh water a bit further up the street on the right side.

The road to Leh is closed after Darcha until some time in May (depending on the snow). Jispa is the last village before that. Here are a few options to park around this helicopter landing pad, or even on it. Next to it is an unused Tibetan temple. To get closer to the river was not possible with a van, but with car or bike it works. The views are great. In town are a few restaurants and guest houses, it's a touristic area. But there are more shops and everything in Keylong.
Airtel reception is not the best.
Many construction workers camp and hang out at the heli pad, not sure if it is always like that. They also use the river as washroom. So best to go a couple of hundred meters upstream, if you want to camp at the river.
We didn't have any problems and stayed several days. It is very quiet, nobody disturbed us and the locals are really friendly.

Great territorial CG and hot springs, as already described. The sites are meticulously maintained and was a lovely place to stay. Also, the CG is surrounded by an electric fence to keep large critters out.

What an awesome find!! Really cool sites. Was packed when I was there. I found a spot at the very end before the mentioned cliff spot, which was quite sketchy of a road.

We stayed here for one night. No issues at all.
It was pretty empty and about 7/8am it started to get busy with locals.

You can use the restrooms at the YPF that’s two blocks away.
