Like others have said, this is an old abandoned street. It’s near West Basin Marina and a lighthouse. We felt safe and comfortable here. Lots of room for our truck camper. Easily fits bigger rigs too. Lots of them. Spent one night. 4 bars AT&T. Local tv channels.

Many offices here, very few speak English.
I was with Mr. Omar White man. You can ask for him, people will point to his office. he speaks perfect English and work for "Bakwet agency"
you can contact him to know in advance what dates the ferry run. So it's easier to contact him in advance to book ticket in advance and have all necessary information.
additional note : from now on the ferry runs every week (when I was there it was departure Saturday from Sawakin) Before was 2-3 times a week. During Haj there's more rotations I believe.

I was in hurry and ferry was full so paid $300 for me and motorcycle.
last year in March 2020 it was : $130....

we stayed here for 2 nights (5000ppn) and got a tour from Manuela through her observatory in German (7500pp). it was a nice and quiet stay

Pet friendly camping with grass sites, water and electricity. Excellent ablutions.

good big turn out with an amazing ocean view. near a call box. you can't go near the ocean because private property. no signs of no parking

Fantastic little hidden gem. We stumbled into this campground by accident, needing a place to sleep between Albuquerque and Joshua Tree. We are so pleased we may stay a few more nights. The campground is very quiet, no rowdy parties, lovely views, a true oasis in the desert!

easy on and put with a pull through drive. big speed bumps so if you are low, you will drag. pump out on drivers side. non potable water and bring vice grips to use the spigot

I wasn't sure I could make it to the trailhead in my Promaster so I just pulled off the road past the turnoff. I saw a few dirt bikers during the day but I had the entire place to myself (except for horned toads, lizards, bats, and coyotes) for the night. Beautiful night sky with a minimal road noise.

Nice and quiet place, much space, some shade, clean facilities, 2 pools, near to the falls. Actually no baboons that would cause troubles. Only the massive amount of flies was ennoying.

Nice state park. Internet is on/off (Verizon).

Clean bathroom, hot showers. Lily was so friendly! $20 dry camp or $30 hookup, big rig friendly ( we saw >40’ ). Dry camping includes dump and showers.

Nice place 200 meter from information centre where tracking starts. Very helpful and friendly staf. They help you also with negotiating the best group. Good food. Clean rooms. We paid $120 per room for 2 persons including all meals and lunchbox for tracking. For this touristic place a reasonable price if you want to stay in a lodge.

As described. Some electrical outlets not working, but found one that did. Okay for a one night stop to empty tanks and recharge batteries.
