Despite not seeing a single sign... got a knock on our door by security guy and an old Asian lady (probably chief of security) saying that overnight stay are not permitted, that we had to move the van and to never come back. I'm pretty sure she was filming the way she was holding her phone.

Pretty cool looking tree. A bit of a walk up, but perfect next stop after el mirador. Trail is not well marked but there is a little sign at the entrance, follow the trail then turn left.

Locals are very friendly - you can count an amount of hunters in the morning- to the direction cenote oxola or to the lagoon
We tried yesterday to drove there- but the hunters told us better not to overnight bc it’s hunting ground - you can hear the shooting in the background of the bee’s zoom

Here you can buy some bread or have a coffee. They purpose also hot dogs and Hamburgers, juices, sodas... Prices are between 215 and 700 for a meal.

Italian passport. Crossing from Kuwait to Iraq. I crossed the border WITHOUT a car or motorcycle and WITHOUT the green permit that others travellers reported necessary. I and other foot passengers (all locals) had to take a local bus across the border (2 KWD) but the procedures were fairly straightforward. It is possible that the green permits is still required for those with a car or motorcycle, but based on my experience this is not the case for foot travellers. So good news, you don't need to go to Kuwait Airport to get it. You can come all the way to the border. Iraqi side straightforward too. I paid 77$ for visa on arrival. All good.

Italian Passport. I successfully crossed the land border from Kuwait to Iraq WITHOUT need for this permit. However I was crossing on foot (you have to take a local bus ferrying you across the border, for 2 KWD), so it's likely that the green permit is still needed for those with their own vehicles. Anyway, foot travellers can skip the trip here

This parking is now part of a newish restaurant. You can spend the night for 5000cop/pp/pn. Easy access to the river which is awesome. Lots of swimming holes and slides. And a nice hike for 1.5 miles up the river also. We were here during the holidays, and it was very busy during the day and both restaurants had music. By 6pm, 90% of the people were gone and by 10pm, it was dead quiet. It's a nice place to spend a day and a night, would recommend. We are in a truck camper and had no issues in town or on the road here. Paved all the way.

Non potable water at the Pemex on the side of the building. Asked a guy that works here and he said no problem. We also bought gas.

Was making our way to the nudebowl campsite, but the last bit of the road was impossible to cross. Extreme ruts going uphill. There was a pull off right before the hill that we decided to stay at. Few trucks passed by at night and there is some trash where people came out here to drink. Not bad for one night. I’ve taken a picture of the ruts for visual

A small laundry run by a nice young woman (she speaks a bit English). 24 hrs service. Express service available at higher price. Price is per kg (standard service CLP 2600 in December 2022). I got a 20% discount (not sure why - had 11 kg) and 2 good bags as a present. (maybe becaus it was Christmas / New Years Eve). Everything processed via App and WhatsApp communication. Very efficient.
They sell Aqua Purificada in 20 litre bottles (garrafon) at a good price (CLP 2000) as well.

Great for RVs or large rigs. Power and water available. We stayed in the primitive area for $10.00. Three bars of ATT service. You can hear the highway but it isn't too bad at night. The lake is stunning and fishing docks are available.

Entering Argentina. 10 min. Step#1. Passport control. Step#2. Get your vehicle permit. Inspected vehicle briefly. Did not take any fruit, etc.

This campground is almost in the centre of the town. 4000 pesos per night for two people and a camper. Big rigs will enter on the main street as the normal entrance is too tight. No trees, nothing pretty but wind protection is ok. Tents must set up on gravel/dirt. Wifi works. Toilets clean. OK for one night. Raul was helpful but we found him to be a bit intrusive - maybe keep that in mind, if you value your privacy.

Camping localizado na entrada da cidade, ao lado da rodovia. Fácil acesso à pé para o comércio local, sendo 2,6 km para o lago. Ótima infraestrutura, banheiros limpos, duchas com água quente, além de pontos individuais de energia e água. Pagamos $ 2000 pesos por pessoa + $ 2000 pelo motorhome. Barulho da rodovia pode incomodar os mais sensíveis, para mim foi de boa!

Nice quite spot, gate was open so we could drive direct to the river. Saw nobody only cows crossing the river. Felt safe and was cool at night.

hiking trail that connects Santispac beach to Playas Los Naranjos. looks like this is the end of trail where path opens up to the beach and the house. Nothing is marked here as private but stopped and turned around. 4×4 can make it here on the path. it's narrow though. No cell signal here.

there was a sign prohibiting vehicle entry we saw on our way out. it appears to be mostly deserted as we didn't see a single person. if you're doing the hike, go left directly at the sign and hike up the rocky path
