Beautiful campsite on a ridge with stellar views of Hume Lake and surrounding mountains. Existing fire pit, no cell service, secluded off forest road.

Christian Camp 2 miles away makes so much noise you can hear it if near the edge of the cliff but down by the fire pit is all quiet

Road is rough and steep, 4WD or AWD recommended. Was able to do it with a midsize SUV

There were a number of good sized camp spots up on the ridge. All had a firepit and were nice and quiet. Pretty views and very close to both Carlsbad Cavern NP and Guadalupe Mountains NP

There is a long one-way turnout where big rigs camp. But if you go to the back, there is a road across a cattle grate that leads to more spots where you can get more privacy and quiet.

I arrived around 10pm, after hanging out at Doheney beach(pretty full there: no available camping as of June 20)this spot Was a great place for the night, around the corner from Waldorf, country clubs etx. Felt Safe, very quiet, nice neighborhoods, barely any type of traffic, heard some residential cars drive by. It’s a street that’s off the main neighborhoods. There were other cars parked there, no one seemed to care about. Stayed 1 night, may go back.

Good drip coffee, tea, cookies, brownies and other goodies. It’s a great place to hangout or get directions to sweet creak falls. They also sell gifts,Imports, and antiques

Exclusive campsite on the Bhenji River just above the weir of the same name. Facilities include an observation deck overlooking the river, a fire place/braai and a pit toilet. In the dry season this is the only water source for some distance around and a lot of animals visit. The site costs USD45.00 per night for a maximum of six people in two vehicles. Chances are you will be the only people within a 10km radius.

I stayed at another spot up from this one. Some of these spots are incredible. There however is a lot of trash and toilet paper. Please pick up after yourself.

There is in fact a place to park right next to the entrance to the falls - if you follow the track round to the left instead of continuing to the end of the car park, there's a very large grassy area overlooking the river (albeit not really with a view as it's full of trees). I was warned the police would probably come and shunt me back into the main area in front of the comedors, but nobody did and I had a peaceful night. There are baños and regaderas available during working hours just behind the access track.

Note that there is another mirador on the other side of the river, which gives a great view from the top and is far, far quieter and less touristy than this side. Entry is $20 and there's a big car park; I got the impression it would be fine to stay the night, but I didn't try - apparently it's common for people to camp there though. **Advisory note for (especially) solo females - if one of the workers offers to show you the path down through the forest to the river, think twice before accepting. His behaviour was largely why I opted to drive back round to the other side.**

Pulled in here around 7pm, there were a fews older guy's having coffee. Two more cars showed around 9 and midnight. Overall a good night for a stop over....very quiet. We are in 24ft campervan not a huge parking lot but adequate.

Pullout is as described. It’s flat and was quiet during the night, though as others have said, traffic picks up in the morning and there is thus some noise. Earplugs did the trick, and we slept happily and without being disturbed all night. Nice view of Carmel Valley from the hillside!

we arrived after 7pm, no one was at the gate at that time so we parked over by tent campsites which are walk in. we were the only people on that side (as opposed to the RV side). we got up and left by 7am. nice quiet place with lots of fireflies. there's also a separate exit on the tenting side

Very large park with multiple nature trails, a paved (asphalt) walking path, miles and miles of bike trails in the back of the park(my suggestion is to NOT venture on these without a map, it is very likely you will get lost)
A nice children’s playground, multiple shelters with charcoal grills available for reservation), restrooms, a decent sized campground, an education center (used mostly for schools/camps),
I’ve seen deer, armadillos, hawks, cardinals and other birds.

14 mi off highway, 1st half graded, 2nd half is washboard. Multiple sites with fire rings in cow pastures. Some can be buggy. Some sites near lake filled with waterfowl. Very quiet, beautiful views. Visited in AM by local ground squirrels and several curious cows and calves.

Stayed just down the street from here on the same side as the beach and with direct beach access. It almost looks like a driveway tucked in between bush and leads directly to the beach. Close to road but fairly private and quiet. No signs, no issues, easy off grid.

Beautiful scenery by the river and mountains ! Many spots along a small road, be sure not to miss the path, we arrived later in the evening and had to go back on our steps to find it. Spots are not too flat and road is quite rocky. Decent cell reception.
