We notice save this place because there is a gas station Near here and there are security people working. This place is very noisy and lightly but we sleep well.

Dormimos 2 noches.

Only the center pump island has a water spigot. Pumps #5 and #6. It’s on the street-side, by the fire extinguisher. Pull down on the bucket-fill outlet to redirect the water to flow out the threaded outlet. Turn the small toothed gear-like wheel to allow the handle to rise higher and flow more water.

Fine for one night. Quiet at night, and Tuesday mornings is when the workers were there to clean. Gotta love a freshly cleaned bathroom first thing in the AM.

This is an abandoned wooden building. It’s right on the side of the road.

We camped inside, we were coming from Manizales. Bikes could be brought in and you can set a tent inside - cars/vehicles: parking will only be possible in front of the building/on the road and it might not be a good idea so this might not be the best spot for folks driving.

There is some traffic but it gets quiet by 7pm. We set our tent on the last “room” and felt pretty safe. It gets cold and windy at night so make sure you have good layers and a good tent/sleeping bag.

No water source on site so bring everything you will need.

Nice place to spend the night. Nice store. Be warned. The sweeper guy takes his job seriously. And he gets a kick out of driving around and around a vehicle at 5am. I was up already. Funny to watch him.

While driving through looking for a spot came across someone in a Ford Transit stuck in the sand in one of the pullouts. It looked okay to drive on, but was obviously deceiving! Be extremely careful out there! Three of us worked to try to get the van out, but she finally had to call for a tow. It was dark by the time her van was pulled out, so we opted to leave and find something else rather than risk the same fate.

Last night here on a Sunday night after a quiet day with friendly people on the beach. However we did not expect the loud partiers until midnight that made sleeping impossible before they left. Woke up to find our shower mat was stolen from where it was leaning against the van to dry. Our chairs were still there. Go figure!

Price for dry camping in our van is $200 mx. Manuel greeted us as we entered at sunset and walked us to our spot, brought wood and made sure we were settled. Very nice man. We’ll update after a couple days of exploring.

Almost on top of the road you will find this gem. Nothing better then a fat arepa with cheese and coffee when cold from the wind up there. The place is very popular by locals to stop by. During weekends this is the goal for many bicyclists climbing up from Duitama.

Amazing view of the golden gate bridge from your van. Woke up a few times from people playing music and smoking weed. Did even see some people smoking something else in their car. There are other tourists sleeping in their vans as well so we didn't feel unsafe.

Many camping spots on a wooded road. Gorgeous in the fall! There are also a few trails through the woods along the road. Fire pit and picnic table.

If you email [email protected] with your dates and location, they will send you a link to the express sign up link. It's free to stay you just need to book in advance. They are only open on M-F so be sure to reach out before you plan to stop there.

good place to camp overnight. I parked in the boat parking a bit to the east. wasn't bothered all night. I did see a vehicle or two enter/exit the west lot. I also had two boaters pull in at 7:30am to get their boat in the water. so be aware of that

Beautiful free spot close to Capitol Reef NP. Tons of people on the left hand side of the road along the canyon, but we went off to the right in the trees and there was no one around. Between 1-2 bars of LTE on ATT.

Ótimo local, espaçoso até para equipamentos grandes, luz é individualizada a cobrança, e o terreno é drenado para chuvas. Restaurante bom, mas caro, como todos por aqui. A praia é bonita e agitada, o mar é mais escuro. Boa limpeza e boa recepção dos funcionários. Aceita barracas também. Animais só na guia.

I spent a few nights on Riverside Dr (a bit further south than this) & had a great experience. It took me a while to find an open spot - but once I did I was able to stay there with no issue. Surprisingly quiet nights & a great spot right in Manhattan!

This is the most amazing spot!! Gorgeous campsites, unbelievably beautiful, clean bathrooms with free hot showers. Walking distance to Lake Geneva. Two nearby lake front restaurants (The Boathouse Bar & Grill and The Geneva Inn). Plan at least 2 nights here to fully enjoy Lake Geneva! Here in mid-October and plenty of spots available. Fantastic weather!

Really nice campsite, with private and very clean ablutions.
On the down side, very pricey (275pp/pn for internationals) and the pool can be regarded as out of order (30cm of very dirty water). Management also made us feel uneasy during the check in.

Hotel Kuelap: Great spot for the church and close to the border. Secure hotel with good restaurant. Right by parking lot and cobble streets to the church. Cosy double room, WiFi, hot showers, window view out to street and valley for 40,000 COP first night, 35,000 COP for second night. Manager, Brian was friendly and helpful, spoke English but let us practice our Spanish. Secure parking for 2-3 motos in garage. Would recommend!

$20/night campground which can be reserved through CA Parks website (add'l $8 reservation fee). Along the banks of a small reservoir. No potable water. Garbage cans, porta potties. Sites have fire pits and picnic tables, some have ramadas. Likely very full in the summer and on weekends - there were only two other sites full on a Sunday night in October.

Some sites are very close together. Note that the paved road passes through a stream on the way, but it's only a few inches deep and shouldn't be a problem for any vehicle. Minimal/tenuous Verizon service in camp but there's good service at the top of the hill.

Happy camping!
